This Estée Lauder cleanser has been discontinued many years ago! I’m a bit of a face wash junkie & this face wash came to my mind Bc I was @ the mall when this face wash first came out & the woman behind the counter was nice enough to give me a free sample to try ! ! I’m a Clinique person Bc I like my skincare products to be clean & fragrance free Bc my skin is very sensitive to scents! But this face cleanser was ok ! I did like its sweet citrus ???? like sweet grapefruit like scent ! However if I had a choice I would prefer it to be unscented ! But thankfully I didn’t get a allergic reactio to it ! It was a ok nice gel to foam cleanser with a pleasant scent! it’s typical for Estée Lauder to include fragrance in all their products! But this did clean my very oily skin just fine!

This product is really good and it doesn’t break me out. I have extremely oily and dry skin but, I figuered this doesn’t dry too much on my face after cleansing because usually the cleansers I used before (such as; Clinique) can be drying if I don’t tone my face straight away. I love the aftermath where my face feels like it can breath and has that citrus scent to it. I’m not sure if this is also build to remove make up like my everyday foundation but I thought around 2 pumps can completely remove it off without being too harsh on your skin.
The price is average and I think it’s worth to pay under £20 if it’ll last long which I’m sure it will because the pump is not really that strong but it gives the right amount to cleanse your face anyway!
The packaging quality is okay. I feel I need to hold the pump slightly bend since it’s quite hard to push the pump while it sits and it’s not too wide enough for the fingers to get the gel from the pump.
Considering, I’m going to start a regimen on acne.org I would still buy the product regardless but not use it as much, because at the moment I want to clear my acne first, but if I ran out of acne.org products I’ll definitely switch to this one. I only gave it 4/5 because of the pump issue that’s all.

No, I didnt like this cleanser. I found it clogged my pores and had a cloying scent. I returned it within 20 days and moved on to Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel, for which I have written a review.

I love this cleanser. I have combo skin- I’d say ‘normal’ cheeks, very oily nose and chin, but dry forehead and eyebrow area. In the summer my skin tends to get crazy oily however, with any dryness quite toned down compared to the winter when in general my skin tends to be very dry. Anyway, it is now summer and I cannot stand my shiny oily skin especially nose and sides of nose. It doesn’t matter what moisturiser I use or brand of foundation, my make up always looks like its melting half way through the day. I read the great reviews for this, and knowing i actually love EL skincare I purchased this. And i was so right to be so confident- I even threw my receipt away after purchasing this as i just ‘knew’ id love it. I actually find it very foaming, i use a couple of squirts though, mix in with a little water, rub into my hands and the apply to my face. It leaves my skin so so smooth and really clean feeling WITHOUT feeling stripped and i have tried SO many HE cleansers and most as in 90% have left my skin extremely dry and tight. Not this one however, it gets rid of all my make up, makes my skin super smooth and clean and no irratation/dryness/redness etc. Just great skin. It gets rid of all the horrible oilies but still my skin feels hydrated not stripped

This is a great cleanser for oily skin. I am a big fan of Estee Lauder and Shiseido’s cleansers. This one claims to help combat oiliness. The gel lathers up well and smells great! The bottle holds a lot of product so I find the cleanser lasts for a while. Definitely will repurchase. I also love the mud foaming cleanser too.

I bought this to try as an alternative to the current cleanser I was using (Aveda Kinetics gel) as the Aveda product was packaged on a glass bottle and I was wary of it falling into the tub and smashing! The EL gel is packaged in a plastic bottle with a twist lock pump dispenser – so much more shower friendly as I prefer to use a foaming wash for my face in the morning to remove o/n skincare products. This refreshing gel cleanses my face without completely stripping it of oil. It also lasts for ages… I have aready repurchased a spare . Haven’t noticed any great change in the amount of oil my skin produces , so have removed a lippie.

Very nice basic cleaner for oily skin. Nice smell and easy to use pump bottle. Foams nice and washes off easily. I haven’t noticed any dramatic difference in my skin but it does not irritate my sensitive skin and my face feels really clean afterward. Love it combined with the moisturizer for oily skin from this line.

This is good enough to take off most eye makeup, and it has a nice smell. The stuff lasts a long time, and cleans out my oily/combo skin well. It also doesn’t leave a tight feeling around skin like some cleansers. I’ll definitely buy this again sometime.

I’ve been using this for at least 5 years. I bought my first bottle about that long ago, then a second over three years ago so I’d have an extra for the shower. I still have about 1/4 left in each bottle… maybe they are expired by now and I should throw them away. But that is just how long a bottle lasts!
My dermo told me that all face washes are pretty much the same, so I haven’t really bothered to shop around for different ones. I like the mild feeling of this, and it washes away pretty clean. I also really like the smell, its kind of fresh and grapefruity. It does a pretty good job of removing makeup, although I usually have to use a separate eye makeup remover.
This isn’t a spectacular, knock your socks off product, but I’ve used it for years without a problem. Then again, I do have recurrent acne problems, so if I ever run out of this I may give something else a try.
