I can’t use liquid cleansers on my face. They tend to break me out & I think glycerin makes my skin itch. I use vanicream bar soap, which most ppl may think is too drying, but it doesn’t dry my skin as much as most liquid cleansers. I’ve tried many, trying to switch over as I’m getting older. (Cetaphil gentle cleansing foam, cerave hydrating, cerave foaming, simple brand, & some higher ends like Paula’s choice broke me out like CRAZY!)
This one is my fave of all. I use it on my face occasionally, but will stick w vanicream for now..
I love it to clean my makeup brushes too. I think most ppl would enjoy this cleanser. It’s so simple, yet effective.
I must note that I use hemp oil (from cooking section of Walmart!) to remove mascara, so not sure how well it does at that.

Bought based on reviews here and a video from Dr. Dray.
Had purchased a cream based Burt Bees cleanser but it was too heavy for summer. My go-to has been Avalon Organics CoQ-10 cleanser but it has been discontinued(as always)
This is a very basic gel cleanser and it makes my face feel clean but not stripped. The only issue is that it can sting my eyes if not careful.
The price cannot be beat, I think I paid $3.99

I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the Smartly Facial Cleanser. The cleanser is well packaged and affordable as well. The cleanser foams quickly, rinses nicely and leaves skin feeling nice, never dry or oily feeling. I found that a little goes a long way so the bottle should last a while. I love that this is fragrance-free. I might pick up another bottle to use as a brush cleaner… much more affordable than my current brush cleansing solution. The only issue this cleanser had was removing stubborn mascara and waterproof mascara. If you are interested my more detailed review is here- FYI- the ingredient list for this cleanser seems to be different everywhere I looked so I based my review of what the bottle says.

OK — true confessions: My favorite cleanser in the world is La Mer’s Cleansing Gel. The smell, the softness of my skin afterwards…. but for $100? Yikes. My next favorite (a dupe for La Mer without the fragrance) is Trader Joe’s Nourish All-in-One Facial Cleanser, which is around $5.00 — the problem being my nearest TJs is 6 hours away, and I’m not due for a road trip. On a whim I picked this cleanser up at Target — how could it hurt, being $2.49? I was pleasantly surprised. My hyper-sensitive rosacea-prone skin like it, and it didn’t leave my skin tight and stripped. I only needed a little amount, it’s very concentrated. Only down side is the it contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which burned my eyes a little. Otherwise, it’s a solid cleanser that left my skin soft and non-irritated.
