i can’t see myself using any other cleanser for the foreseeable future. this cleans my skin very well, and although i don’t think it does anything to treat any of my skin woes, i really don’t expect that from my cleanser anyway. i love that you only need a teeny tiny amount as one tube lasts months and months and months, plus it’s super convenient to decant and take traveling because you don’t need to bring much with you, even if you’re planning to travel for a few weeks.
i typically wear makeup on a day-to-day basis and have double cleansed with straight oil for years; this product doesn’t remove all of the oil with a single wash but i have yet to find a cleanser that can anyway. if anything i appreciate that it isn’t able to remove all of the oil in one wash because that means it’s probably not going to be super stripping when i use it on skin that isn’t covered in a thin film of oil. which…i am pretty oily so my face usually is. lmao. but you get what i mean.
i don’t have super sensitive skin but it hasn’t irritated mine at all, and i’m quite acne prone but it hasn’t bothered me on that front either. great product and plan to repurchase!

This cleanser is your typical cream to foaming cleanser! I check out the ingredients on line & it has very alkaline potassium based detergents inside it ! It’s performance is exactly the same as the clearasil hydra blast face cleanser that’s been discontinued! This cleanser gives you that squeaky clean sensation on your face that’s typical of all of shisheido cleansers except that this cleanser doesn’t contain any fragrance thankfully! It does however have a very fresh clean scent due to its herbal exacts of tea tree oil & winter green mint ! It also has salicyclic acid in it but it doesn’t state what percentage it is! I will not buy this again Bc it feels like a bar of soap on my face

Having come off more than 20 years of hormonal treatments, my skin is once again breaking out as if I was a teenager. I have bumps and uneven texture on my forehead, and white heads and painful cysts on my chin and jawline. So once again I feel like I did all those years ago, when I was searching for the HG cleanser and treatments to take care of this nasty problem. Of course, a deep facial with extractions always does the trick, but in Japan, where to find a proper facial? Here they just massage and cleanse and do a whole bunch of stuff for a whole lot of money, stuff that you could just as easily do by yourself at home. Anyway, I love this cleanser. It really is gentle and does a thorough job of cleansing without dryness or irritation. The smell of salicylic acid can easily be off putting, but a clear complexion is worth it for me.
