I have oily/sensitive skin and have been researching for a great facial cleanser for years. This one cleans really well, and will not dry out your skin, nor will it cause you to break out. Yes you will feel your skin is a bit tight after using this cleanser, but it does not strip needed natural oils off your skin. It leaves the skin feeling very smooth. Of course you need to apply your favorite moisturizer after use. I’d say this product is more suited for people dealing with an oily skin condition. Using my previous cleanser, my face became very oily about 3 to 4 hours after cleansing. With the Jack Black cleanser, my skin remains well balanced for most of the day. Try this one out it does wonders.

This is a very gentle cleanser. I like that you can buy it in a huge pump bottle, good savings there! It is soothing and very gentle to use. It has a milky quality to it, it doesn’t really foam up much at all. It’s overall good, but I prefer a foaming cleanser.

I generally only wash my face with a cleanser before I shave in the morning, and Jack Black Pure Face Daily Facial Cleanser is one of the best cleansers I’ve used (I’ve tried most of my wife’s, too.) It’s fresh, barely scented, rinses quickly with no residue, and leaves my face and beard ready to shave. I like pairing it with other Jack Black shaving products. Jack Black makes skin care fun-and effective–for men.

Although this is formulated as a men’s line, I love JB’s lip balm (sadly not vegan, so I won’t use it anymore), and this product is both vegan & cruelty free, so I gave it a try.
It has pretty good reviews on Ulta & Sephora, got a sample, didn’t like it after using what’s got to be my 4th bottle of Alpha Hydrox’s Facial Cleanser, which is an ultra-gentle facial cleanser (that has unpredictable low-foaming action, which means I go through it lightning-fast & why I’m on the hunt for a new cleanser).
This was drying compared to Alpha Hydrox, so I won’t be switching… It’s no more drying compared to ordinary cleansers, so if you’re used to using a regular cleanser with lots of foam, you’ll be fine with this.

I bought this for my hubby. He has though skin. He is more of a bar soap and water kind of man. He was not impressed. He used twice and it has sat on our counter ever since. It did bothered his skin. He is not picky either.

This is a great cleanser, it doesn’t upset my skin. It has some scent in it though which is a bit off putting to me, but it does the job and my skin feels refreshed after using it. Has a nice, soothing scent with a decent amount of foam. I feel that I have to wash my face twice with this product to feel clean. Does not completely take off my eye makeup, particularly eyeliner and mascara

I’ve only been using this for about a week and a half, but so far I really like it. I have combo/acne prone dry flakey skin – a lot of crap to try and deal with at one time and find the right product for. This isn’t overly drying but leaves my skin feeling very clean and soo soft after using. It foams up nicely and removes makeup well (even though its a men’s product, lol). Smells slightly lemony but not really manly at all in my opinion. I think I paid $12 for the 3oz bottle? A bit expensive but worth it for me if it doesn’t give me a bad reaction. I don’t like the squeeze bottle because no matter how gently you squeeze it, a ton comes out at one time, and wastes product. Will probably update this after using for a bit longer.

i had high hopes for this product especially after seeing the ingredients did not look too harsh, it has a pleasant aroma and foams quite nicely, however it did dry my skin slightly and after a few days started to make the blackheads on my nose and cheeks worse. I dont shave but trim and started to get spots around the beard and stubble area so obviously it was clogging the pores around the hairs.

Like this product. It does what it promises. It cleans my skin, and it has a wonderful fresh clean scent.
I’ve been using this along with several products from this line since December 2011, and my skin looks fresh, clean, and glowing. I wouldl think the scent would appeal more to men (who is the target market for this line, but I don’t think it’s to harsh for ladies. It’s just good product. On the expensive side. But I’m a junkie ..So I will pay the price.
