I bought this because I am a huge Marilyn Monroe fan and wanted to try her skincare routine. Maybe this was the bomb in the 50’s – 60’s but nowadays this just won’t work. Caused horrible pimples and whiteheads all over my face. Pretty much destroyed my skin. Also cleansing bars are not very hygienic.
They also reduced the size of this cleansing bar. Trying to get your $$$ but you won’t get as much product.
Also at this time you can not buy refills. You always have to buy a new soap WITH the plastic case, that is just stupid and wasteful.

Having dry skin, I would normally stay a mile away from a soap, especially when it comes to washing my face. But, boy oh boy, I was so wrong about this little guy!
Now, if you love a good two-step cleansing routine (I swear by it because it removes 100% makeup and grime), you would love the effect of this soap together with Erno Laszlo cleansing oil. Firstly, you massage your face with oil in order to melt your makeup, secondly you work the Phelityl Cleansing Bar all over the face (I use circular motion) to further lift and unclog everything. By the time you wash your face, it will feel “alive”, happy, nourished and even a touch hydrated. There are plenty of essential oils in both cleansers, soap especially – so if you have a very dry skin, this could be your best friend.
