Total waste of money. No difference to my combination skin whatsoever, furthermore if you use a cloth to rinse the cleanser off, the black stain is impossible to remove.

Natura Siberica is a beauty brand which sells decently priced organic eco bio certified products. The Northern Soap is one of their top sellers, had read plenty of raving reviews on the internet so I gave it a try but sadly I feel underwhelmed.
This product is called soap but it’s actually used as a cleansing face mask. You get 120ml of product in a black plastic container and a sponge is included. The soap itself is black and solid, also smells amazing if you like bitter almond. The sponge is stiff when dry but softens when wet.
So, the procedure is wetting the sponge, swipe an amount of the black paste and spread on the face. Leave it for 5-10′ and rinse with the sponge. It’s recommended to use 1-2 times weekly.
It’s quite a fun product to use, smells great and doesn’t dry my skin out in any way (mine is combo acne prone)
The price is ok considering that you get 120ml for 16-23 euros, I’ve been using it twice a week for months and it’s almost full.
As far as efficiency is concerned now… once rinsed I see no visible effect on my skin. I let a few of my friends try it too since I was convinced it’s just me considering the hype but nope. No effect whatsover. I’m still flabbergasted.
Edit: The tub lasted 9 months which would make it great value for money… if it worked in the slightest.

This is a wonderful soap/mask.
It is carbon black because of its main ingredient which is activated charcoal, the texture is soft and mousse and it spreads like butter.
It comes in a big plastic jar at 120mL / 4.06 fl.oz a black sponge, presumably to help apply the soap and then help remove it.
I prefer applying it with my fingers and then use the sponge to gently remove it and rinse.
It smells divine – something like cherry.
I always wanted to try activated charcoal and since this product is very popular in Greece lately, i gave it a try and i am very happy with the results.
The brand recommends that people with dry and sensitive skin should apply the soap and then immediately rinse, and if you have normal or combination to oily to leave for a few minutes. I have combination skin, normal cheeks and oily t-zome and leave it for approximately 8 to 10 minutes and then rinse.
It makes my skin very soft and clean, it DOESN’T dry it out and i feel like it tightens my pores and overall my skin feels very fresh afterwards.
Please bare in mind that you get A LOT of product. You only need a small amount and given that you shouldn’t really use it on a daily basis, you won’t run out of it anytime soon so it really is good value for money.
I am very happy with this product, I wont finish it any time soon because i still have A LOT of it but i will probably buy it again whenever i run out. I do recommend it!
