This smells so fresh and feels so creamy that it is my favorite cleanser to use in the morning. Full of antioxidants and hydrating oils, if you have dry skin I would highly recommend giving this a try. It comes in a 4oz glass bottle which doesn’t look like much, and it’s not, compared to other cleansers. The first time I used this I mistakenly pumped twice which was a waste because in the morning, there is nothing to “remove” from my skin that one pump of product can’t handle. After massaging in and rinsing off, my skin feels hydrated, balanced and soft. I do not use this at night after removing my makeup, only because I prefer to use a mildly foaming gel type cleanser with my Foreo but there is no reason you can’t use this at night too if you want.

I absolutely love this cleanser. I took a chance when I saw this at Whole Foods. I’ve never tried anything from this brand and the ingredient list had me interested immediately. I also have rosacea and MOST products irritate my skin. This causes zero irritation. It feels beautiful on my skin. It slides around effortlessly and rinses cleanly, removing all of my light makeup with it. My skin feels clean and calm and I don’t feel the need to slather my skin with moisturizer right away. I will 100% purchase again.

This. Cleanser. Is. GREAT.
It has a lovely texture. It’s nice and soft, non-greasy, and has a light, fresh scent. It’s kind of flowery and perfumey but don’t let that put you off – it is not a strong or overpowering smell at all. It feels so nice to massage onto my face that I sometimes do it longer than I need to because I’m just chilling and enjoying it. Lol 🙂 My skin feels soft and hydrated afterwards and there is never that uncomfortable, tight feeling.
The pump works smoothly and I have had zero issues. The one thing I’d wish for is that the pump could be twisted closed. Other than that, no complaints. And how cute is the labeling, though?! If you order anything from them, wait until you see the boxes up close. I almost didn’t want to throw them away because they’re just covered in that cute artwork. They use soy ink and recyclable materials, too!
This product costs $15.99 (USD) and it is 100% worth it. I’ve had mine for over two months and with twice daily use, I’ve only gone through about a fourth of the bottle, and my skin has never been better.

I have just started using this product. I had a different product severely dry out my skin and this facial cleanser is working ( by working I mean not causing any further irritation or inflammation). I smooth this product on my damp face and work it in for 20 seconds and then rinse off with distilled water. I follow with the other products in their line and a few other of my holy grail products and so far this stuff has been doing a good job at keeping my skin tightened, pores have become noticeably smaller, and my forehead skin is a whole lot smoother. I use also use the vitamin c serum from mad hippie and the antioxidant facial oil from the same line. I am experiencing severe dryness and dehydration from another product I have been using so I have been pairing the products mentioned above with bioderma sensible AR anti-redness care moisturizer as a top coat to seal in the moisture from the base layers (it contains mineral oil and avocado oil) and also when my skin is feeling dry I also layer clinique moisture surge over night mask under the sensible AR moisturizer. It might be a little overboard but I have been noticing a drastic difference in how supple my skin is once again becoming. Hopefully I will have good luck with the Mad Hippie line because their products seem to contain some good ingredients so hopefully I won’t have a reaction to any of their products. I am also going to try out their Vitamin A Serum and the Exfoliating Serum when my skin regains the moisture it needs but it make take a while for that to happen. I will add my reviews for those products when my skin can is more hydrated and I have tried them out. I also bought this product from a natural health food store in the city I live in and they were all sold out of the moisturizer and were low in stock in the other products. When i run out of these products I don’t know if I will have an an issue repurchasing from in store because I never buy online so I will also keep you posted.
Update: I didn’t like this product. I had really mad facial flushing after using this line and my scars became more noticeable. like pin pricks on my face and I didn’t think that was even possible. Stopped using this product and now my skin is going back to normal. Black heads also became more noticeable.

This product is much creamier that I expected (despite the title), which is good because it did not dry out my skin. I used this product in conjunction with a konjac sponge. Had I not, I would have felt a film on my face afterward from the oil content. I am very pleased with the ingredients list, but I found this cleanser to be slightly greasy. It was very gentle though, and I am sure that those with sensitive skin could benefit from its use. I am on the fence about repurchasing at the moment.

I hate to be the one to ruin this product’s perfect rating and I really wanted to like it, but I just can’t. There are way too many ingredients for this product to be good for sensitive skin like mine. It started breaking me out by the third night I used it. Its overly scented and way too expensive for the amount of product you get. I’d rather cough up the extra 10 bucks for a bottle of Eminence. Earth Science also has a great cream cleanser for like $8 at whole foods. Long story short, theres better organic/cruelty free options out there.

I’ve tried a lot of cleansers, and this one may be as close to perfect as I’m going to get. The consistency is nice and thick, and it does not disappear on my face the way some cream cleansers do. To me, a good cleanser should not leave your face feeling stripped when you rinse it. A cleanser should not make your face red or leave a film on it. I use this cleanser with my Clarisonic, and after I rinse, my face feels perfectly balanced. The ingredients seem to calm my sensitive skin. Moisturizer is optional after I wash with this cleanser because it does not strip, however, I do sometimes use Mad Hippie’s moisturizer because it is a nice, light moisturizer and complements this cleanser.
As I mentioned, I do like to try various cleansers. Recently I tried Eminence Rose cleanser. It left a film and did not calm my skin like the Mad Hippie. I need to learn my lesson and stick with this awesome cleanser.

When i first started to use this cleanser,i did notice little cystic pimples forming on my cheeks. But after a couple of times using this cleanser there wasn’t any. However, i love the fact that this cleanser does not dry out my skin. The only downside is,because it is super gentle it does not remove makeup very easily, so i would go in with an oil cleanser before finishing off with this cleanser.

I have been using this off and on for awhile now. And really I can’t think of any negatives (apart from the fact that I like trying different products). Love the citrusy scent, it cleans up my eye makeup, hasn’t caused any skin issues, good price. So will continue to be a repeat buy.

A surprise favourite, bought by accident – I broke my tube of a foaming cleanser and I thought I should get something in a more comfortable packaging = a pump. This was very good price and the packaging was right for my needs so off I popped it in my Boots basket.
The bottle is TINY, the product is only 125 ml. It is a white cream, not too thick but not too runny either. It smells like an orange desert and when you read the ingredients list the fragrance indeed comes from orange peel oil and vanilla. It reminds me a lot my favourite body balm from Aesop.
I only use it as my morning cleanser and I’ll use only one pump. This way it should be more economic thought the content of the bottle goes down really fast. I usually wash it off with just water – it is really nice that it rinses off clean and does not leave any residue but skin does not feel stripped afterwards. Sometimes when I feel like my skin needs a little more gentle treatment I’ll use a washcloth with it and use it as a second cleanse in the evening too. For cold, windy winter and for my parched skin it is a very pleasant product to use. Additional surprise was that it really cleanses the pores on my nose.
Why will I not buy it again? Mainly because this bottle with a regular use twice a day would last me 3 weeks max (last tube of a Clinique face wash I had for a YEAR!) and I sadly cannot recycle it in Scotland. I’m planning to pour my usual face cleanser (foaming one) and prolong its usability that way. Sukin should really pack the products in glass bottles if they want to be that good for the planet. I would honestly not mind paying more as otherwise it is a really great product for a winter, dehydrated skin.

I’ve been using this for a few months and I love it! It cleans very well but doesn’t sting during use or leave my skin feeling super dry. I get pretty congested pores (not pimples, just oil pockets and blackheads) but this is clearing up my skin quite nicely, too. Very pleased overall and would recommend it to anyone.
wakefulPudding0
I’ve gone through two bottles of this and can say it is a gentle cleanser that does get makeup off. When I wear heavier makeup I use an oil cleanser before hand and then this. It is pleasant and smells lovely. Only gripes are I find it hard to get the last bit of product out with this packaging and the pump usually dispenses too much so I only need half of a pump to clean my face. Getting the last bit can be a bit frustrating.

I’ve used this for years. Every so often I stray from it but I always end up coming back. Everything about it is perfect. The smell is light and citrusy and doesn’t linger. It is affordable, which is a big deal for me because I go through cleansers very quickly. I use one full pump of this morning and night, and each bottle lasts me about two months. The consistency is rich and creamy and feels wonderful when I massage it all over my face. You can use it with a wash cloth or just rinse it off with water, this cleanser doesn’t leave any kind of sticky/pore-clogging residue behind either way.
That having being said, do note that my skin type is dry, and foaming cleansers make my skin feel stripped and uncomfortably tight post-wash, so girls with oily or combination skin types may prefer something more heavy duty instead.
goofyOryx9
This is my favourite cleanser. It disolves makeup effortlessly and leave my skin clean, moisturized and completely clear. I feel like my skin hasn’t been this happy since before I hit puberty 20 years ago. Whatsmore, its organic and incredibly affordable.

So as I am using Differin on a regular basis and it’s now cold and dry where I live, I’ve decided to switch to a more gentle non-foaming facial cleanser. Because I wear sunblock and foundation, I always do a double-cleanse, first an oil, then this. I was surprised just how gentle and effective this is: although it’s non-foaming, it still does a great job to clean my skin, without leaving residue behind. I avoid washing cloths, as they can be irritating and can carry bacteria. Just massage this on to damp skin, then rinse. My skin is clean and although this is not the cheapest cream cleanser out there, you only need such a small amount for your face and neck, that I can see this lasting me probably through the whole winter. There is some fragrance in this, but nothing over the top or synthetic, so it doesn’t bother me. This is an awesome, gentle and effective cleanser.

I have sensitive, acne-prone, oily skin and this is the best cleanser I have ever used. It doesn’t irritate my skin or leave it dry. My skin feels soft and hydrated after using it. It doesn’t create foam but it doesn’t feel heavy or oily. I have been using this cleanser for the past 3 years, it’s truly my HG cleanser. I have tried the very gentle cleanser and I liked it but it’s a bit more hydrating, I think it is better suited for dry skin. This product deserves more hype!

Love the packaging, but that’s about it. I used to use the Trilogy Very Gentle Cream cleanser, (which I LOVE) but thought this would be more economical. It has a different texture than the Very Gentle, this one doesn’t feel clean when rinsing away, and slightly irritated my skin which made me break out about 4 days after starting to use. I ended up giving it to my boyfriend, who loves the smell and texture, but has really un-sensitive skin.
My skin is sensitive and this triggered breakouts, thought it would be similar to the other trilogy cleanser but I was wrong.

Me: 32, sensitive and dry skin prone to redness.
What I like: Really lovely cream cleanser – feels so soft and comfortable to use. Cream formulations are my favorite to use in the shower after removing my makeup with a micellar water. This one leaves my skin feeling clean, moisturized and not irritated – although I wish they’d excluded the essential oils, these are listed at the very end of the ingredient listing and are likely to be in small amounts. I also enjoy the brown glass pump bottle packaging – its shower friendly and elegant. It’s quite economical here in Australia, I can usually purchase on sale from Priceline or Chemist Warehouse. The 200ml size lasts me around 3 months with daily use.
What I don’t like: I’m going to buy the Very Gentle version next as I prefer simple formulations without essential oils. If you want to travel with this product, you need to either buy the tube packaging (100ml) or decant into a plastic tub or container. Your eyes can get a little cloudy after use so you need to rinse really well but it doesn’t sting or irritate my eyes.

Normal soap makes my skin very dry. I have tried many cleansers and this one is perfect for me 🙂

What a wonderful product!
So, it isn’t the best at removing heavy makeup, sunscreen etc. However, used as a second cleanse, it was wonderful.
– beautiful SCENT
– gorgeous TEXTURE
– little goes a long way
– leaves the skin feeling CLEAN and BALANCED
– didn’t cause any breakouts or redness
If you are curious & want to try it. I recommend that you do. It really is just a lovely, nourishing product.

I received this cleanser as a gift with purchase in the former of a mini tube. I was pleasantly surprised by it. I’ve found other cleansers too harsh for my allergy prone skin. It is very gentle. My skin does not feel super tight after use. Instead it feels smooth and moisturized. I have not developed acne, irritation or dry patches since using this product.
The cleanser is a thin cream with a slight herby scent (a little like unrefined shea or avocado oil). You do not need to use a lot, which probably makes it quite cost-effective. I apply it to wet skin, then massage with a wet face cloth. I follow this with a layer of moisturiser once my skin is dry. I’ve found it quite effective for removing mineral makeup.

Another great product from Mad Hippie – I love everything in their line of products. This is a nice, gentle cleanser. I don’t use it for make-up removal because I feel like I need something more hard core (I use mineral oil and Olay Foaming Face wash…phychologically I feel like I need the foam to feel like my face is clean of make-up!), but I use this face wash every morning in the shower for a quick, “pure” clean. I think it’s PERFECT for that. Great way to wash face to start the day 🙂 Not crazy about the packaging – the pump’s very convenient until you get to less product. I can seriously dig at least two more weeks of product out by keeping it upside down and digging it out with the pump – but I like the product so much it’s not enough of an annoyance to make me look for something else.

Mad Hippie’s cream cleanser is great for anyone looking for a moisturizing cleanser. I have combination skin and have found that it works great for me.
The cleanser has a light, kind of nutty and pleasant smell to it. I use it twice daily and it always leaves my skin feeling great.

I *LOVE* the Mad Hippie line. There are four products in it, and my skin loves each and every one. It’s an all natural cleanser in a lovely bottle with pump. It’s full of wonderful ingredients that are wonderful for your skin. This cleanser does not foam, and has a lotiony texture. It cleans off every trace of makeup and leaves my skin clean, but not stripped in any way. I’ve had no breakouts and no irritation. If you’re looking for an all natural cleanser, give this a try!
UPDATE: I’ve noticed the cleanser is not able to remove heavy duty sunscreens off my face. I will have to put this aside until the cooler months return. Origins Clean Energy cleansing oil is working fantastically in its place.

I bought this product thinking it would be great for my dry, acne prone skin, but no! It clogged up my pores being a thick cream consistency and left a heavy feeling on my face after using it. I have the exfoliating scrub which is great, so a bit disappointed in this one.
outlyingCrackers8
My go to cleanser. Bought this on a whim because I was sick of wasting money on high end brands.
It’s gentle, soft and nourishing. A slight citrus scent that is refreshing. I use this once a day in the shower and follow with toner and moisturiser. Although I’m not that susceptible to breakouts, oil or redness I still have slight uneven tones and some acne scarring I like to keep at bay and this has helped dramatically.

I have been using shisheido benefiance cream cleanser for many years. Unfortunately it seems that it is discontinued. Such a pity because it was wonderfully soothing and gentle as well as keeping my skin looking great.
I have been trying to find a good replacement so I bought the Sukin cream cleanser to try. It is gentle, much more affordable but it smells like caramel. Why on earth would you do that? Honestly smells like something you would put on a 4 year old.
I will probably have to buy this again unless I can find another cleanser that checks all the boxes my shisheido benefiance did.
peskyRelish1
I bought the Trilogy Cream Cleanser in the tube not the bottle. It seems to be moisturizng while you’re cleansing your face. It’s not too thick and not too thin in texture. Most of the time the smeell of this cleanser seems alright, natural and herbal but when my washcloth, or flannel, is still very warm from all of the hot water then the smell of the cleanser in the cloth takes on a slight smell of wet dog fur for some reason and I don’t know why because that smell hasn’t occured with other cream cleansers in the past! *shrugs shoulders*
I may buy the Trilogy cream cleanser for sensitive skin next time. I just can’t find a cream cleanser that smell nice because the Super Facialist by Una Brennan Rose Hydrate cream cleanser has a great texture to it but it has a cloying, obnoxious or very strong and annoying rose scent. So I may have to find a cream cleanser that smells like nothing, something like the ones made for sensitive skin.
fondLeopard5
A dependable cream cleanser. I have tested many green or organic cream cleansers (PAI, MV Organics, Mychelle, A’kin, Intelligent Nutrients, Madara etc) and I find Trilogy’s cream cleanser to be a good affordable cleanser that works and will not make a big dent in your wallet.
It has a nice scent and a nice slightly thick consistency to it (i don’t much like cream cleansers that have thin consistency) and my dry and sensitive skin does not react negatively to this at all. I use a muslin cloth with this every time I wash my face and it has made my skin very smooth and clean.
Took a lippie off because of the glass bottle. It is very nice aesthetically to look at on the top of my sink, but always in danger of breaking it not handled gently.

UPDATE: As of 2014, this cleanser has been reformulated to remove alot of the nourishing Almond Oils and replace it with cheaper Glycerin, as well as add a concerning irritant to exend the product shelf like.
All of the glowing early reviews should be disregarded as they are for a different product than what you will receive today.
I thought this was supposed to be “natural” but the new Trilogy Cream cleanser contains the cheap synthetic form of Vitamin E, Tocopheryl Acetate, to extend the product shelf life. This ingredient is surrounded by dangerous issues like contamination with hydroquine, cancer, hypersensitivity to UV rays (more burning and wrinkles, anyone?). Shame on Trilogy for not using the natural form of Vitamin E which is readily available. I will provide a link on why this is such a problem and bad for your skin.
I have very sensitive skin and this gave me acne and inflamed and severely irritated my skin especially around my nose and mouth. I have now found out that Tocopheryl Acetate is the un-natural enemy against healthy skin. Its lurking in a huge % of beauty products – including this one – simply so companies can have a long shelf life. It has no benefit to the customer apart from the potential to give acne, contact dermatits, and even worse. One link I found to this largely un-known issue, here:
The peoples comments mirror the suffering of many of my friends and family to this ingredient.
Trilogy make a separate Very Gentle cream cleanser that is labelled for sensitive skin so in a way they are telling us THIS “cream cleanser” contains ingredients that will irritate sensitive skin. If you have very sensitive skin try the Very Gentle Cleansing Cream, or another brand that does NOT have Tocopheryl Acetate on the ingredients list.
