   Skin Effects cleanser was the best thing I’ve ever found among the many I’ve tried. I have very sensitive skin and this was one of the very few cleanser I could us. I loved it and now have an extremely hard time finding where to buy it. I’m very disappointed that CVS no long carries it.

   i have used this product for over 2 years, i had acne and this cleanser has cleared it up and given me a clearer skin tone. i am dissappointed that it is being taken off the market.

   I picked this up for about $3 during CVS’s last beauty clearance. My skin is currently combination with some sensitivities and rare acne. I normally use Cetaphil Daily cleanser with no complaints but I thought for the price, it was worth trying this product. I love how it feels when I apply it… very airy and foamy and almost silky. The scent is a typical “unscented” scent, slightly herbal or medicinal but not bad. There is no stinging or irritation with use and I don’t feel that it exacerbates dryness or oiliness. The reason I give it a 3 is that I don’t feel it removes my makeup completely and I haven’t noticed any improvement in my skin in any areas since I began using it about a month ago. I may or may not repurchase it.

   This is not good for sensitive skin. I found with daily use, my combo/oily skin got really dry and flakes appreared on my cheeks. I noticed that my skin was tight and I needed to slather on moisturizer. I never needed moisturizer in the summer because I get very shiny and oily in the heat! I also noticed that I was developing more clogged pores when using this. I started off with about 4 on my forehead and now I have 10-12 and I have more on my dry cheeks! Also, this burns my eyes! I have to keep my eyes squeezed shut when using this. I never really had such a bad reaction to my eyes since using this. This cleanser does have some good qualities: 1. It removes makeup well. 2. It has no offensive scent. 3. It calms down the reddness in my face. 4. It’s inexpensive. Overall, I think this overdries the skin causing the ph level to become unbalanced and forcing the skin to overproduce oils. I think cleansers that do this cause great ciaos for sensitive reactive clogged skin.

   I have used this cleanser for some time and continue to love it. I have oily sensitive skin, and this works great for me. Never irritates nor dries my skin. I can also use this on my eyes after removing eye makeup with mineral oil with no irritation. It’s also a great bargain at $6.99.

   I love this stuff! It gets my sensitive skin clean without breaking me out. The price is also very resonable (5.59 on sale right now at CVS). Love it!!!

   Not that good. Ok if you are looking for something just to gently clean the upper layer of your skin, but it really didn’t clean that well I didn’t think. Just average. Much prefer Neutrogena…altho this company makes a really great deep cleaner that cleans like all get-out. It’s in a clear container.

   I hate this; I feel like I have nothing to say about this product. I paid about $1 at CVS, and it’s a decent cleanser. It’s 6.6 fl oz (198 ml) pump and foams upon dispersement. It does a decent job of removing my m/u, doesn’t irritate my somewhat sensitive skin. But it just seems sort of ho-hum to me. I’m not excited about it at all. The product bottle boasts that it moisturizes & hydrates; um, no. My face is tight after using it, but nothing that a toner and moisturizer can’t fix. I am not one to remain loyal to a product so I will keep searching for something I can get excited about. To be completely honest, I don’t like the foam. I prefer a creamier cleanser that I can use on my eyelids to wash away the eye m/u remover residue and with this foamy texture I feel like it just floats on top of my skin and doesn’t really clean it. I know, it makes no sense, but it’s just my preference. Will I buy this again? For $1 yes, anything more than that, no. The search goes on…

   Okay so I went to CVS looking for a NON-Detergent Cleanser (since I found out my Acne.org cleanser is filled w/ detergents) & came across this. Let me read the back of the bottle to you ” Formulated to be fragrance-free, DETERGENT-FREE, paraben-free, & gentle.” I buy & come on here to read things about it & look what I find:

   It contains: Sorbitan Laurate; Sodium Trideceth Sulfate; PEG-150 Distearate; Disodium Lauroamphoacetate; Cocamidopropyl Betaine
   THESE ARE FRICKEN DETERGENTS!!!!!!!!!! This pisses me off!

    I remain slightly on the fence about this product, despite my initial excitement at purchasing this. I’ve had really great results with some of Dr. Dover’s other products (the acne line is INCREDIBLE, as is the little wrinkle filler pen) so when I was in CVS last week and saw that they had a “buy one, get then other product at 50%” I totally indulged and bought this, the wrinkle pen, and an overnight cream (but those are separate reviews). What I like about this cleanser is that it’s very, very mild, BUT this could very well be the reason that my chin is now housing a few embedded pimples (ugh). I usually have to use some form of salicylic acid in my face wash, but often times those leave my face looking dull and feeling dry…and then I’m left wishing I could be one of those girls with crystal clear skin who can get by with a “gentle” cleanser. I’ve been using this cleanser with my Clarisonic, and I suppose it’s alright. Nothing to write home about for me, though.
