This is Walmart’s version of Clean and Clear’s Essential Foaming Facial Cleanser and is one of the very few products where I find better than the original. Well, it actually seems to be very similar except Equate’s has no parabens and C&C’s has four different parabens. Equate’s smells the same except not quite as strong. And it’s half as much in cost 🙂
I have really congested, oily, problematic, acne-prone skin and no cleanser feels like it cleans deep enough. This really does. It doesn’t make my skin dry or tight. My skin looks and feels perfectly balanced even hours after using this. Normally a half an hour after washing my face my skin is irritated, red and oily. If it doesn’t irritate my skin then it doesn’t clean well enough. I’ve tried almost every cleanser I can get my hands on. I try a lot of cleansers and always end up going back to Desert Essence or my big old bottle of Dr. Bronner’s because they deep clean (though slightly drying) but we’ll see.
