I’ve tried MANY facial cleansers in my 44 years and just love this one. It is very rich you only need a small amount and it works up really well. I feel like my face got cleaner well without drying out. Yes its a bit expensive like all of their products but I feel like the price for what you get is very fair and this tube will last a long time.

I used this every morning and it always left my skin feeling super soft and bright. Oddly after using it for about 6 weeks the efficacy was reduced. Not sure if my skin just adapts and gets used to it.

The Tourmaline Exfoliating Cleanser is the best exfoliating cleanser from Aveda. Simply wet your face, smooth on a little in circular motion, add a little to your Clarisonic brush, and cleanse your face. Your face will certainly feel and look smoother and brighter. The gentle exfoliation is responsible for this effect. I use this cleanse day and night. Now, it is pricey, but can last up to three months because a little goes a long way.
Tourmaline is an ingredient that works well with seemingly any moisturizer or toner paired with it , so you can continue to use your favorites! Obviously, the product works better with others in the tourmaline family, but it can work well with your products too. Just check ingredients in your other products to be sure first. I smooth on the Aveda Enbrightenment Lotion after cleansing with the Tourmaline Exfoliating Cleanser; this combo is a win-win. Bright, Radiant, and smooth skin on your face and neck will be your results. I’m a 31 year African American woman with oily skin and medium skin tone. I love Aveda.

I am currently a cosmetology student at an Aveda school so naturally I love all their products. This is by far my favorite product of all time. I have never had perfect skin and have undergone chemical peels at the age of 15 that were WAY too harsh for my skin, leaving me with deep pores and scarring that are still really bad five years later.
I have oily skin and this product is good for all natures of skin. I am acne prone but those types of products are too harsh for me. Tourmaline is PERFECT! After the first use I could feel an amazing difference in my skin. It was soft and had exfoliated my skin without irritating it. I woke up the next morning with plump, smooth skin. It had already helped my deep pores.
A month later, I am still so in love. My skin is bright, breakouts are minimal and nearly non-existant. My pores have become less noticeable and my red scarring has faded to a pink. My boyfriend even noticed a difference, which meant a lot!
I feel confident recommending this product to all of my clients no matter their skin type. My skin is balanced and beautiful. It is worth the price because it is very concentrated and a pea size amount will cleanse your entire face.

I bought this about a week ago and have yet to really see any results. It’s true, it makes your skin brighter after washing but I don’t know if the results are worth the price. My skin is combination dry and my nose was still dry and even flaking still.
The smell is not my favorite but I can deal with it.
The best part is that you don’t need more than a dime size amount to wash your entire face, neck and even chest area!
I will continue to use this and update if anything changes or if it helps prevent/reduce breakouts and/or small darker spots a few pimples left behind.

Of late, I have been experiencing EXTREMELY dry and dehydrated skin(to the point that my scalp is flaking). I was at my local Aveda Spa getting a facial and figured I would pick this up as I am making an effort to use for natural products. The receptionist suggested I try this cleanser when I explained my concerns. I thought “she’s just trying to sell product but what the hey…Ill try it”. I was pleasantly surprised that it left my skin feeling clean and smooth without the “squeaky clean” feeling that I hate. I should also not that this was after washing, and then washing again 5 minutes later after my dog licked my face after he just ate and i freaked out over bacteria.
I read some users reviews that the beads were not “exfoliating enough”. It should be noted that if you read the product description, it contains SA, which is the main exfoliating ingredient. The jojoba beads aren’t necessarily meant to give a deep exfoliation. Those requiring more heavy duty exfoliation may want to consider a separate exfoliant. I like juice beauty’s green apple peel or Glam Glow tinglexfoliant.

This product is wonderful, I use it every day and it doesn’t dry out my face. It leaves my face feeling clean but not tight. The packaging can be frustrating though, I usually take scissors and cut the tube open to get all the product. Overall a really great exfoliant and a great purchase.

This is a nice exfoliator for normal/aging skin. I use it in the shower every morning, and it does not dry me out or cause irritation. So Plus for that. Ingredients are basic and astute shoppers could find higher quality at a lower price. That aside, this will leave the skin soft and supple. Smell is pleasant. The formula is thick so you don’t need as much. I bought htis as part of the brightening package, which I recommend.

This past year my skin has become really really dry, dull, and I’m beginning to feel that I’m showing my age. A friend who worked at an aveda spa recommended this product and I’m happy that I but the bullet and bought it. Whether because I’m exfoliating or because of the tourmaline, my skin does look brighter after 2 weeks. The blackheads I was having in areas that didn’t usually get them are gone, my skin is softer, my complexion is better. I use OCM on days that I don’t use this, and I do have to moisturize heavily after I use it because this is much more drying than the OCM.

This cleanser does wonders for my dry skin. It’s gentle enough that it doesn’t feel harsh or abrasive and it leaves my skin feeling super clean. Nice smell. Skin looks glowing. The only downside is the price tag.
