Note: a completely different product to the old “Clearly Corrective Skin Brightening Exfoliator”, now discontinued.
A very concentrated, clear gel with a few tiny scrubbies in it that don’t do much. I think this would suit normal, combo and oily skin types as it deeply cleanses with just a tiny bit. I only use 1/2 pea to get my normal skin feeling deeply cleansed and fresh. If I forget and use more my normal skin ends up feeling stripped. When you lather up, it goes white and creamy, almost like a shaving foam which is nice. Rinses fairly easily although it takes extra splashing around the hairline and any peach fuzz to get rid of the little beads that tend to stick around. Light astringent green floral “galbanum” style scent that reminds me of Peace, Love and Juicy Couture perfume. Or the original Cacharel Anais Anais. Does not irritate my sensitive skin, except when I use too much and over-cleanse. Didn’t notice any more “brightening” effects but my skin feels fresh and clean.
Not sure if I would repurchase. Similar to the Clarins foaming facial washes, they seem expensive, but they are so concentrated you end up replacing it half as often. So its actually more reasonable than you might first think. But then again I find I’m going through more moisturiser than with my other cleanser (Ole Henriksen The Clean Truth Foaming Cleanser). If I can train myself to dispense a teeny tiny amount every time then maybe. Otherwise I’ll leave it to others with combo to oily skin.
