The highlight of this sunscreen out of all the other sunscreens I’ve tried is how soothing it feels. It contains a mix of good plant extracts like tea, licorice, chamomile and algae that provide an antioxidant, hydrating and soothing boost to skin. It is both watery and creamy when it comes out of the tube but once you rub it in, it doesn’t feel greasy. You don’t feel like you are wearing anything on your face but if you touch your face, you feel a slight creamy layer. The downside is it leaves a slight white cast that doesn’t fade. Some white streaks appear so you need to be careful and blend them. Packaging can be improved as the medium sized hole means sunscreen gets smeared around it.
I don’t wear this as my sole moisturizer but if your face isn’t dry and you live in a humid climate, you can wear this as a moisturizer because it isn’t drying. I haven’t tried other mineral sunscreens but I’ve heard good things fron eltamd, sunsense, australia gold and coola, and some of them are cheaper, so I won’t be repurchasing for now.

I typically use the resist spf30. But my skin has been a bit dry this winter but I easily get oily. So I tried this one hoping it would give me just a little bit more hydration. And it does exactly that. I use a small amount and it goes one white but blends in quickly. Makeup applies easily over it without additional primer. I don’t get oily throughout the day. I am really enjoying this as my winter day time moisturizer.

I accidently bought this one when I meant to buy the one for normal to dry.
The normal to oily version leaves a horrible white cast. The normal to dry has a slight white cast that goes away quickly one. This one lingers for hours. It is unusable. I’ll have to use it as a body sunscreen.

This broke me out, but
it did feel comfortable on. I had no issue with a white cast, but I do have fair skin. I will not repurchase.

This is my all time favourite sunscreen,I have to use mineral sunscreens , I can’t use chemical as they sting my eyes. Avobenzone is terrible for stinging,so if you’re having problems with burning eyes, check the ingredients and if chemical sunscreen ingredients are the problem switch to physical.Back to calm mineral, it has everything I want in a sunscreen. The active ingredients are titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.Zinc oxide is an excellent uva blocker.Titanium dioxide only partly blocks uva, so with a mineral sunscreen I always make sure zinc oxide is there. This is also rich in antioxidants , another plus,This is moisturisng without being greasy, and it does not leave a white cast. I have tried so many mineral sunscreens and it’s so difficult to get one that dosen’t leave me looking like a ghost, and I’m quite pale to begin with, so it must be a real struggle for darker skin tones.I apply the required 1/4 teaspoon for face and same for neck. This is an spf sunscreen/moisturiser combo. Some say that you can’t apply this much of a sunscreen moisturiser without being a greasball , that’s not true.It also wears well under make up. Another myth is sunscreen/moisturiser combos do not protect like a sunscreen. That’s nonsense , they are all tested the same way.I have also tried the normal/dry version of this but I prefer the oily/combination as it has a higher zinc content. My skin isn’t dry, I’m more combination anyway. To be honest if you were really oily ,you might find this a bit too moisturising, but it’s worth a try . As a youngster I was plagued with oily skin.Which brings me to another reason why I love this sunscreen. It has no alcohol or fragrance.I never fell for the alcohol laden products as a youngster that claimed to “control ” oil. They don’t.All they do is dry out your skin, so the skin produces MORE oil to compensate, it’s a viscious circle.I love this sunscreen and use a lot of PC products, because they are all alcohol and fragrance free, I’m totally against alcohol in skincare , but that’s another topic. Finding a good sunscreen is hard, for me it was anyway for reasons I’ve already stated, But you must protect your skin from the sun, otherwise everything else in skincare is really a waste of time.I’ve used sunscreen for 40 years, long before it was “fashionable”. I have no wrinkles, some fine lines around eyes. I put that down to my regular use of sunscreen and over the years this is the best I’ve come across.Things have progressed do much over the years, Years ago we didn’t even know what broad spectrum meant, let alone PA+++.So, if you’re like me and you can’t use chemical sunscreen for whatever reason or you may just have sensitive skin, try this, really it dosen’t get much better.

I’m in my 5-6th tube of this amazing sunscreen/moisturizer.
It is very hydrating, moisturising and offers great protection.
It is very expensive in Europe and their shipping is absolutely insane but I wait for their free shipping days and stock up then
I have light olive skin and it leaves no white cast after applied.

This is identical to the PC Hydralight sunscreen, and it is my Holy Grail sunscreen for my oily skin and sensitive eyes. I apply it liberally every day, rain or shine, all year. It doesn’t sting my eyes, clog my pores and it feels so soothing.

I tried the N/D version of this in winter and it was great, but since I have combo skin and acne, I needed a less emollient version for summer. This is similar, it’s slightly less emollient but still blends in completely, and has no scent, unlike the other. Don’t mind that, don’t really need scent in a sunscreen, though the scent in the N/D was nice.

I really wanted to like this. Great ingredients and aimed at sensitive normal to oily skin. Sounded perfect! However, the white cast on my light olive complexion (similar to Penelope Cruz, for reference) was shocking. I looked so pale and sick all day, could not wait to go home to wash my face. So glad I only bought the samples! On a plus side it went on smoothly and lightly. But the cast made it impossible for me to try it again. Even though I bought 3 samples!

Summer again and the dreaded search for sunscreen began with trepidation! I have very sensitive and reactive skin and therefore my choices are limited. I held off as long as I could but then we had a really warm spell so I had to get something. I opted for the Skinceuticals Sheer Physical UV defense spf50 but pretty much after application I was aware of it, but persevered through the day. Although it was beautiful really, it did bring my skin up in several little red bumps so, sadly, I gave it to my daughter who is fine with it. I then decided to give the Paula’s Choice sensitive skin sunscreen a try. I LOVE IT! I have only used it for five days so I could still react to it but usually, my skin reacts within hours and at the longest two or so days. I find it very light, it has no scent and it’s thin consistency means that I can actually cover my face with it before it becomes too dry. This avoids having to put too much pressure on my face when applying as this alone would make my face red. I don’t use foundation but I do use Clinique Pore Refining Solutions pore minimizer and Charlotte Tilbury Retoucher Pen and find they apply well on top of the sunscreen. I feel that it has also made my skin softer. I suppose I do look a smidge paler after applying it but I am pale anyway and it would be very easy to add a touch of bronzer – it would certainly not put me off the product. I would definately re-purchase and am currently looking at reviews for the moisturiser in the range. I love this product and totally recommend it to anyone with reactive, rosacean skin!
UPDATE:
I have been using this sunscreen/moisturiser for a while now and it is really brilliant! I have found that my skin has improved since using it – I think it’s because they have managed to include many beneficial ingredients whilst omitting potentially irritating ones. All of my products are chosen for their calming qualities rather than their potent ingredients, because my skin will not tolerate them. I absolutely love this product and will use it throughout the year as my day time moisturiser. 10//10
