I hate sunscreen. Hate it. Spent a fortune on this one, that one, another one. They leave my skin inflamed with cystic acne at 64.
So with much reluctance I bought this in Walgreens expecting to do nothing more than toss it into a drawer. But the sun was bright and I thought, “burn vs. breakout?”
I actually like it. I haven’t broken out. It’s mineral. And I mix it with concealer to make my own tinted moisturizer that STAYS ON ALL DAY.
It isn’t invisible: still the white cast. But it’s the lesser of the rest of the evils.

I am actually loving this!! I have a very hard time finding sunscreens that work for my skin. I’m so oily in my t zone with dry cheeks and acne prone so nothing seems to work. I like biore bright face milk for under my makeup but I wanted something easier to get for days off when I don’t wear much makeup and just want to throw on a sunscreen and maybe some concealer and go. This is almost perfect. Only issue I have is that it dries just a smidge tacky so I take my powder brush and just dust the leftover powder on my face quickly and that takes care of the issue. My face never gets too shiny with this or too dry. No breakouts at all. Will definitely repurchase.

This is for the Aveeno Ultra Calming Daily Moisturizer spf30. I have used this for five days along with the Ultra calming nite cream and the Ultra Calming Gel cleanser and have noticed DRAMATIC results. My face was so unhappy….dry and flakey and breaking out like crazy…..I was at my wits end so I just went and bought the prior three products hoping they would help my super sensitive face and they did……it was a transformation……no breakouts…..makeup looks so much better when on and my face looks healthier and younger…..I haven’t used aveeno for years but saw this and have an Ulta store near by so picked this line of Ultra Calming products in a desperate attempt to help so I wouldn’t be so embarrassed!!!! I can say I”m impressed…..my skin is very very sensitive so I hoped this would help and I can say the transformation has been visual….nite and day difference from a week ago….kinda sold on Aveeno now…..Definitely won’t stop using this…..

I am desperate to find a mineral SPF day lotion that goes matte and dry on my face (I’m oily) so I can put on makeup afterwards. Sadly, this isn’t the product. It stayed very tacky and I had to wipe my face with a towel in order to dry it sufficiently to put makeup on smoothly. Not one for the oily crowd unfortunately.

I like the concept of mineral-based SPF and in theory this product is great, but it smells like melted plastic. The smell doesn’t linger long but the application is so off-putting, I just can’t use this on my face. I’ll save it for an emergency SPF in my purse to use strictly on the body.

Got a free .3 oz tube of this from my dermatologist. For free? It’s just great. Would I buy it? Not sure. I like the medium/thick texture for legs, arms and elbows. I don;t think I would EVER use this on my face. Seems so heavy for that – especially in the summer. It contains SPF 30 which is good but it feels heavy to me.
Good for body, meh for face.

I got this on sale for 10 dollars at 50%off..very expensive! but i wanted to try it for my dry easily irritated acne prone skin. I have only used it 4 times so far so i will do an update but it seems to be “ok”. nothing amazing. the smell is very sunblock like, as is the texture. I have not noticed any reduction in redness… but i am hoping it does not break me out because i do like the SPF and it does make my skin feel less dry. I probably will not repurchase due to the terrible price for the amount that you get (73ml)

Broke me out HORRIBLY! I don’t have breakout prone skin. My skin is combo-dry these days. I tried it several times to be sure this was the cause of the break outs. With each use I had 2-4 blemishes the next day.

I got this from an Aveeno rep at work, and this is the first Aveeno facial product that has not irritated my skin! It has a really nice, oat-type smell and is a nice texture. Sometimes, I have to go over it with another moisturizer, on super dry days when I’ve been overdoing the medicated cleanser, but for the most part, this works great! I won’t repurchase because I have access to better products at the moment for free, but if I am forced on a skin care budget in the future, I would buy this in a heartbeat.
