This is one amazing shampoo and my hair is truly mega soft, or as soft as I can get with what I’m dealing with. I recently went back to the All Soft line after a decade and gave this newer, Mega product a try due to massive breakage/dryness from medication, as well as my normal dryness due to my hair type. My hair is really big with 3a curls, runs on the coarse side, is box dyed back to its natural dark brown (going white), and very porous. I also live in the desert with very hard water which further dries out my hair and fades my color to a brassy gold.
So, I gave this product a whirl and it cleanses my hair of product build-up (not to the extreme) without stripping it at all. It feels super thick and rich on my hair while I’m shampooing and leaves it with some slip after I rinse. I can comb through it much easier after I shower and it seems less porous as I don’t have to keep misting it with water every 5 minutes to keep it wet (I diffuse at the end of my routine). And then there is the final result: such soft hair and no frizz, even with all my damage!
I will say that I wasn’t sure about this product at first because my hair looked super flat and was less curly but it was cut into a bob, which wasn’t working well for my curls anyway, so I got a more layered cut that works better for me and presto: big, soft curls up and around my head that are so soft and shiny! Yes, I do use a few styling products but I did notice a big change from day one after switching shampoos after a decade and now I’ve knocked off at least 15 minutes to my hair routine between that and the new cut. I’m even using half the hair product than I was before. Also, my hair color has hardly faded at all after 2 weeks and I have to re-dye it every 3 weeks so good to go (this is really amazing). This shampoo is a keeper for me and I highly recommend it for curly girls or anyone with plain ol’ damage.
