I wear this every day. I prime with Becca backlight (one pump), then use two pumps of the bare pro and powder with hourglass translucent veil. I use a maybelline 24 hr concealer under my eyes. If I do it exactly like this, the bare pro is the best foundation i’ve ever owned. I apply with one of those really dense oval foundation brushes – which I also use for the primer. You have to pay attention, but once done this really is amazing foundation. I won’t wear anything else (except plain mineral powder foundation).

It’s odd… I bought this foundation and really liked it for the first two times I tried it. After that I started to see it going on very cakey sitting on top of my face showing all my imperfections. Maybe in the beginning I was looking in the wrong mirrors ? I have acne prone skin and this was def a no go .

I’m really on the fence with this one. It reminds me of Double Wear but wears longer on my face.
Pros: Staying power is out of this world! I have a oily T zone and although I might get a bit shiney after about 5 hours, the foundation doesn’t move. No transfer issues and stays matte. Doesn’t settle into my pores or fine lines at all. Great sun protection.
Cons: Sets REALLY fast, so things can get streaky quick. I have to use my moisturizer right before applying and only do one side at a time. Can look flat. I had a hard time finding the right shade. Ended up using both Sable and Sandstone and mixing them. It’s a pain. Using a brush can be daunting, if you trying to get a more natural look. I found that a blender worked better. I find that it gives me a make up look and not very natural looking 🙁
So if you are looking for great coverage that lasts, this might be your foundation, just work fast when applying.

I have normal to combo-oily skin. NC20 in colour. The shade 08 Golden Ivory is perfect.
PROS:
1. I’ve used up the whole bottle and it never caused me any skin reactions.
2. Beautiful natural matte finish. Undetectable on the skin.
3. Decent medium coverage. (I use one pump) Fingers work the best for me. Can be built up to full.
4. Doesn’t separate when sebum gets through. Fades evenly after 7 hours. No ugly patchy-ness.
5. The texture is very thin which feels lightweight.
CONS:
1. Occasionally it oxidised very badly. But most of the time it didn’t. And I couldn’t work out why.
SHADE WISE: 08 golden ivory is more of a yellow shade than golden, which is great if you have a strong yellow undertone and most warm shades look orangey/peachy on you.
07 warm light is significantly paler than 08. And 06 is darker than 07. In terms of depth, 07 fits in with 01-03.

Have been wanting to try this foundation for a long time, I got a sample of this from Sephora to try out. I used my regular skincare and primer when I tried on this foundation. It applies on as light to medium coverage, not full coverage, with two layers you get medium coverage at best. The problem I have with this foundation is the at mid-day, my foundation has already started disappearing from the side of my noses, my forehead, and my chin. And when I got off work at after 4pm, separation is terrible around my nose! It’s so cakey and disgusting! Now I am extremely oily and I usually use revlon colorstay but I have found out that with the new packaging that they have launched recently they have CHANGED the formula! So revlon colorstay is no longer working for me and the search for my next foundation continues. Thankfully I didn’t purchase this in the full size as I was going to.
Edit 22/09/2019: tried this foundation again using a different powder (lawless loose powder which is now my HG) and that seemed to have helped a bit with the separation, but none the less it doesn’t change the fact that this foundation just disappear from my face throughout the day unevenly, and it has no oil control property at all. This foundation is not even worth trying if you have oily skin, period.

I give it a 4, but for me it’s really a 3.5.
I’ve been using this foundation for about three years in Teak 22 or Sable 21. Prior to this I used MAC Studiofix in NC42. I prefer the Barepro over the MAC, but I feel like the texture of my skin has gradually worsened during this time. It doesn’t cause breakouts, and it helps my oily skin stay matte for about five hours before I need to blot, but it does oxidize, and I don’t feel like powder goes well on top because it makes the powder look blotchy.
I experience slight break-up of the foundation after about 8 hours, but compared to Fenty Foundation (which performs horribly on my oily skin), it wears well.
My issues with Bare pro foundation is that it doesn’t provide full coverage. I know people say it does, but I have to pile layers of this on to cover dark acne scarring, and then use a covering powder on top otherwise as the foundation dries the scars show through. Even Fenty covers better than this.
Also with bare pro I feel like I have to add powder (not just for more coverage, but because it looks incomplete without it). Again with Fenty I felt like the foundation on it’s own was fine.
I consider bare pro decent, but I am still looking for my HG.
Pros:
Goes only smoothly.
Easy to touch up.
Good colour selection.
Has a pump.
Matte wear.
Long-lasting on my oily skin.
Cons:
Emphasises pores.
Drying on less oily parts.
Can sometimes look splotchy with powder.

Easily in my top 3 favorite foundations! It is a medium to full coverage, but you can sheer it by using less and building up if needed. I interchange between the IT Cosmetics #101 airbrush and the Bare Minerals Luxe Performance brush to apply it. It does come with a pump and a little goes a long way! I suggest 1 to 2 pumps for a more natural look and 3 to 4 for a full coverage glam look. Regardless of which look you go for, this foundation applies so smoothly. It claims to blur pores and improve skin texture over time, but I didn’t notice a difference. With that being said I highly recommend using a primer(I have textured skin and use a blurring primer). It does self set to a beautiful matte finish, but using a setting powder/spray(I always do!) is going to give it extra staying power. It also claims to have a 24hr wear range and I can attest to this! I don’t normally wear makeup that long, but I went on a little road trip from California to Washington wearing this foundation and it still looked pretty good! Unfortunately as most foundations,it is not 100% transfer proof. For 34$ you are getting 1.0 oz of product, which is the average, and it comes in a glass bottle with a pump and plastic cap. All and all this is a great high end foundation and I hope this helps!

I had such high hopes for this foundation. I love Estee Lauder DW and thought this was going to be a more “natural” version of that foundation with natural mineral type ingredients.
Well, the coverage is similar (medium), but the wear of this foundation is not as good as my HG foundation, ELDW. It starts breaking up around my nose after about 4 hours on my combo/oily skin and accentuates any flaking, dryness or texture you have. When first applied it looks beautiful, but doesn’t stay that way very long. 😢 Maybe the wear would last longer if a primer is used underneath. I don’t believe in or use primers. I feel if I pay more for a high end foundation, I shouldn’t have to also pay for a primer to wear underneath it. It should hold up well enough on it’s own. Isn’t that why we pay more?

I was matched with the shade ‘Fair’ and was excited to try this foundation out.
Initially, it looked amazing on my skin. Perfect shade for my very pale skin. I applied it via a damp beauty sponge and my skin looked smooth, pore-less & soft matte. I thought I was on to a winner!
Fast forward about 3-4 hours and it looked horrendous. It started to break up and look scaly. It created dry patches on my skin that certainly were not there before! I always make sure my skin is thoroughly prepped before face makeup to avoid this. I’ve never had a foundation that has started off so well then turned out such a mess on my face.
I cannot recommend this. If you do try it, make sure to get samples to test it out thoroughly.
Pros:
*The shade ‘Fair’ is perfect for very pale skin. No orange or pink.
*Packaging is sturdy. The glass bottle feels heavy & quality.
*Applies well with a damp beauty sponge.
Cons:
*After a few hours, it separates, looks dry and patchy. Certainly does not live up to the long wearing formula claims!
*Left my dry/combo skin dehydrated & flaky.
*Application with a brush is tricky, it can look quite heavy & cakey. A damp beauty sponge is needed to blend & sheer it out.

Beautiful. And the best shade match I’ve found so far. I am so impressed with this. The first time I used it I felt my skin was looking a bit dry. My skin is combination, slightly oily on my nose but dry everywhere else especially on my forehead. I tried the hangover rx primer next time and it looked amazing. Lasts all day, the longest I’ve tried is 12 hours but at the end of the day it still looked great. Decent price too. Lovely packaging although the heavy glass bottle isn’t very travel friendly. Thoroughly recommend.
