I’ve use this foundation for more than two years and I like it. It is not sticky and leaves the skin with a natural glow. But I don’t actually use it as foundation all over my face, I apply it with a sponge to hide some areas of my face that are a bit red or with some occasional acne. So, I don’t think it has enough coverage to use as a foundation, to be honest. However, if like me you don’t wear foundation and just want to hide some imperfections, I would recommend it. I use the vanilla color, I like that the range of colors is not very orange, since I have pale skin.

Tl;dr:
– Built-in highlighter, rather than dewy finish
– Medium to full coverage
– Tones have more warm/pink undertone than most Bourjois products, don’t be fooled by labels
– Hard to blend
– Looks amazing when you put it on, but oxidizes soon
This not the worst foundation in the world, but certainly not for everyone. I find it very confusing.
I got it because it promises both protection and radiance. Even in store I noticed that the tones do not correspond to other Bourjois complexion products, even though they share the same numbers and names. They are warmer than the usual neutral/cool range. It reminds me of old school pink-beige foundations like Max Factor. But it didn’t seem to be too orange, and I often put a bit of bronzer all over, so what the heck.
The packaging is stylish and very compact, the best type of a soft tube. Application is not very easy. If you tried Healthy Mix you know you can keep blending to your heart’s content. This one feels like it has very very finely milled powder highlighter mixed in, to it’s more like cream-powder. And it sets, so you gotta blend faster. I don’t get desired coverage from one layer, not because the coverage is not enough, but because I have patches with different texture and need to add some to areas where I couldn’t stretch it. But at the same time you don’t want to have too much of it. Note: I prefer to dot thick foundations with a flat brush, then blend with a wet sponge, so I distribute it evenly, but it has to wait some time to be blended.
Coverage is solid medium. If I blend it well and don’t over apply, my face looks amazing even before putting all the complexion makeup. It’s glowing! You can see it after using powder too. As I said I think it has highlighter in it, but it’s not detectable at all. If you ever had Maybelline Master strobing cream, imagine mixing it in your foundation. I think this idea is really great. But it oxidizes! If you were not so lucky during application (because it mixed well with your skin tone at that point) already by the time you finish your makeup you will see all the patches. The tone is acceptable imho (I could brighten it with concealer for example), but combined with the blending issues it’s just not worth the time spent on it. It may work for warm skin tones better, but these days no one has time to sit and wait to see what’s the actual shade.
Maybe the anti-pollution ingredients don’t mix with pigment well (they are often anti-oxidants, so oxygen is somehow involved). I really wish Bourjois made another attempt at creating glowy foundation, because their research is always interesting. But this foundation pisses me off! I hate throwing makeup away, but I have no one to pass this product to at the moment, and it takes some serious will power to keep it. I expect this line to be gone from Bourjois stands in a while lol. It’s not up to par.

Well-priced, decent formula for everyday wear – especially for humans with pale complexions and cool/yellow undertones.
As a make-up lover, I am always on the hunt for cheap foundations that work well and match my skin tone. (I am a MAC NC15 gal, with fair/pink areas, the struggle is real).
I recently switched to The Body Shop Stay Matte Foundation (Railay Beach) but decided to change my base during winter as it dries my combo skin out.
I was thoroughly impressed by the City Radiance. It is a liquid foundation which has buildable coverage, light-medium and leaves a dewy finish. I like that it has a broad spectrum SPF 30 (rare in some foundations) and an anti-pollution screen. The idea of bases offering other benefits always gives me peace of mind. Might as well treat the skin while you’re at it!
I apply it to moisturised skin and set it with translucent powder in areas that I don’t want too much shine (i.e. t-zone). Sadly, I bought it in 02 Vanilla which makes me look a bit like an oompa-loompa – but I’ll definitely buy the lighter shade once this tube is finished.
Pros
– Affordable
– SPF 30
– Buildable Coverage
– Moisturising and has anti-pollution screening (whatever that means)
Cons
– May be too dewy for some (easily fixed with powder)
– Light, floral fragrance (did not irritate my sensitive skin but may be a deterrent for others)
– Not long-wearing but is breathable on the skin

I bought Bourjois City Radiance when my skin was superdry and I was looking for something that wouldn’t look flakey and dry on my face.a persuading SA said that she’s sure that it will sit very well on my dry skin so I bought it but it didn’t.it looked awful like everything else(well, except Collistar Moisturizing Foundation, that one was always good) and I had to wash my face before going out as my bare skin looked much better
After a while my eczema was cured so I decided to give this one another chance.I moisturized my skin, then rubbed it with finger tip on my face and used a damp beauty blender for final blends.I was thrilled to see that it looks lovely!
I have it in 01 and it’s a good match for my NC15-20 skin,it’s more on the neutral side while my neck seems to have slightly more yellow undertone but all in all it’s close and doesn’t look that off
It has a lovely scent(it’s rosey to my nose not much fruity) which doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin and I love It’s girly, travel friendly packaging which doesn’t look cheap at all
It has sheer to medium coverage,a bit less than Bourjois 123 CC cream, which is enough for me.it doesn’t completely cover my dark cycles, also a sheer hint of the redness I have on my cheeks shows through it but it doesn’t look bad(it’s as if I have put on a pink, rosey blush)
it’s consistency isn’t too thick but isn’t watery either,it feels moisturizing which I like but I’m not sure girls with oily skin would like it too.it has a luminous finish which I like a lot, there’s no sparkles in it and it’s not as dewy as most tinted moisturizers but it’s more radiant than CC 1,2,3.
my nose looks shiney but I dust a bit of WetnWild Cabana Bronzer(not a real bronzer)on a nose, under my eyes and a little on my forehead (I also spray Mac Prep&Prime) and it looks great for 5,6 hours.if I use it by itself longevity isn’t that good.it doesn’t wear off at the end of the day but looks a bit cakey and patchy in some parts and shows dry patches in other parts in a very long day
All in all unlike my first feelings I like it a lot now.when I have it on my skin,it’s as if I have a evened out, healthy, bright and plumped by good diet and constant hydration skin and very little makeup.I don’t think I can call it my HG as I believe my skin has the capacity to look much better with a foundation, still I will repurchase it as it’s one of the rare foundations that looks natural and pretty(better than most high-end foundations I have tried till now) and has decent spf
recommend you to try it specially if you have normal to dry skin, don’t need high coverage and like a radiant finish
Right now I like this one and CC 1,2,3 more than my expensive foundations
wish Healthy Mix Serum was available here as I think it could be my HG Bourjois base.

Bought this looking for something with light coverage for days when I didn’t want to go overboard with make up. Consistency of product was nice and I used a rounded foundation brush to apply it. I’m NC15 and the shade I used was Vanilla (02).
Unfortunately, within two hours of application the product had oxidised on my face and was very patchy, in particular on my t-zone.
I have had good experiences with Bourjois products in the past and I had higher hopes for this product, so I was disappointed. Would not buy again.

I’m not going to be running out of this product as it’s awful! Used once and won’t again. I tested it one evening and left it on, which seemed to be fine. I’ve worn it today and it’s oxidised on my face, going a completely different and rather unflattering colour.
I’ve rated it as 5 for expensive because it’s expensive for the poor, poor quality!
I’ll be sticking with my high-end product – I’d been hoping to find an alternative for summer, but alas! It’s not meant to be.

My mature skin needs a glow and this delivers. I am not a fan of the formulation but – it really does give a lovely glow without the need for my usual MAC strobe underneath. Made by the same manufacturer as Chanel, this is without doubt, a fabulous base – I have YSL, Bobbi Brown, Chanel etc and this one out performs them all. It lasts for hours and has a decent SPF which is a bonus. Probebly the best ‘drug store’ base there is and, as mentioned, far better than many costing three times the amount.

I just bought this despite the reviews and I really like it so far. It is definitely a radiant finish, so if you like a matte foundation you won’t like this. It stayed on pretty much all day and I love that is has a decent spf. I’m also prone to break out from certain ingredients (especially anything algae related) and although I always check ingredients sometimes I still have a break out, but so far so good with this. The price is also great, as I usually buy high end products that cost at least twice more. The thing I like best is how easy it is to apply- just squeeze some onto my fingers and rub it into my face. It covers pretty well so a little concealer around my nose and eyes and I’m all set. I’m really glad I decided to try this!

I was at first confused by both the City Radiance and the CC cream – I bought them based on reviews as I was looking for something light and everyday. I was particularly keen on the high SPF of Radiance.
At first I thought CR was too shiny for my more mature skin, and CC made me look green grey. I was ready to chuck both of them away. Then I tried CR with a different moisturizer – (Muji – the anti age one) – which is thicker and more matte and CR looked perfect. I was wrongly using it with light watery creams.
For best effect I finally realized that if you first use one layer of CR and the CC cream on top, you get the best of both with one counteracting the shine or color of the other. It still feels very light and natural. Try it this way.
