This is a fail for me.
I wanted this product because I tried a sample years ago with the old formula. I got compliments on my skin on day 1 but couldn’t handle the price. Fast forward to now, some serums I use got discontinued and this came to mind. Using this, I got the same compliments, but now I realize it’s because of the half of the serum that’s oil-based that adds a bit of a shiny healthy glow. I can get that with cheaper products. My issues are:
1. Fragrance. It’s so strong to me, and I find putting fragrance on my face to be unpleasant.
2. Breakouts. Using the bigger dial once a day was too much for my skin. Using the small dial morning and night was too much for my skin. Using only the smaller dial in the morning only for a week became too much.
Overall didn’t see any claims come to fruition, only acne.

I initially liked this serum, it has a small dial on the top where you can turn for an auto dosage, either a small, or larger amount is dispensed via the pump. I sometimes used the larger amount, but found it a bit too much, so went for the smaller amount, morning and night under my usual moisturiser. After about a week, I noticed my foundation seemed to be wearing off in parts by early evening which it doesn’t normally do. I didn’t attribute it to the serum but now, after using it for about three weeks, my skin which is normally very dry, started to feel just very greasy rather than moisturised and worse, I am getting small red spots randomly appearing and I don’t usually suffer with breakouts. I have used face oils and other many other serums and never experienced this, so I know it has to be the serum. Never again, which is a shame as it’s quite expensive.

I have almost finished my first bottle and I only use it at night underneath my moisturizer. On the plus side, it is very hydrating but that’s about it. I haven’t noticed any difference to my skin. It’s ok but not great and it is expensive. I think I may keep researching other serums.

The Nordstrom on Michigan Avenue in Chicago offers $25 facials through Clarins. Coco was awesome and recommended the double serum. I have adult acne which is pretty well controlled; however, I still have breakouts in my T zone, but am also prone to dry, flaky skin, especially if I spot treat the acne. Since I’ve started the double serum about a month ago, my skin is well hydrated and breakout free. I’ve been using it morning and night in place of a moisturizer. I use Aczone in the AM so I apply the double serum, 10 minutes or so afterward and same in the evening, except after Tretinoin (Rx retinol). I’ve been using it fairly liberally 3-4 pumps each application and using it on my neck / décolletage and am half way through the bottle. That said, it’s expensive, so I’ve just started limiting myself to 2 pumps per application, which I still think is plenty. I adore this product, but I wish it wasn’t so darn expensive!

Well, I got this product because as of late I noticed I have developed jowls. Jowls!
Huh?
I thought the signs of aging wouldn’t hit me. I’d be different and escape them. But no.
So, that being the case, I decided prob I need to up my routine, add a serum. I have used this one in the past with good results. Not sure it would help with jowls but give it a try. Now mind you, mine were caused by skin irritation around the jaw line and mouth. Red. Itchy. Prob that’s how it starts and sneaks up on you.
Longs story short. I”ve been using this now for a week, and, I can say, the jowls are almost all gone. No more red irritation. Jawline looks better. I’m quite amazed, actually. This product is like an oil and water serum that you mix together in your palm and then rub over your face. You should put a cream on over it too. I use two to three pumps in morning and evening. There is a slight scent to the product but it has not bothered my extremely sensitive skin. Some people have complained it broke them out. Maybe if your skin is very oily or acne prone, since this has oil in it its not for you, or just give it a try with a sample. The serum absorbs pretty quickly, but it does take a little time. It has left my skin much smoother and less red and irritated and I’m quite pleased with the overall result, esp. this jowl situation.

Oh what a disappointment this product was. There’s no doubt it works, my skin has never felt so soft, so why the low marks? It made my oily perimenopausal skin super oily, clogged my pores and gave me cystic acne. The SA advised me it’s a common problem with this product. IMHO this will be great for dry skin, but I think it’s the Marmite of serums – you’ll either love it or hate it.

Clarins is an old French brand
15 or 20 years ago they were the best in luxury skincare
They were the first To introduce plant extracts
Now I think they are outdated
This sérum is the perfect proof
This is full of mineral oil and other occlusive synthetic ingredients. The only beneficial ingredients are way after the conservative
Bye clarins we dont need your subpar formulation especially for this price!!
Ren skincare is everything you pretend to be!!

I used this product once daily for the past 6 months and saw no noticeable results. I have dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin and used this underneath a light moisturizer in the morning during the fall and winter months. I was hoping that by adding a little more moisture, I would be able to heal some acne and acne scarring, but that wasn’t the case. I didn’t find it hydrating enough to use on its own without moisturizer.
I am about half-way through the large bottle, so I imagine that the serum could last you almost a full year when using one “big” pump per day.
The experience of using this serum is wonderful. I love the pump, and I love the consistency and smell of the product. I love that it doesn’t feel ‘film-y’ like some serums do. It seems a bit oily/greasy when I first apply it, but absorbs quickly. Unfortunately, I didn’t experience anything more that would justify the price tag so I won’t be re-purchasing.

This is the serum that managed to turn my dry skin into normal skin again. Love scent, love the texture and most of all love the fact that it absorbs quickly without drying. It really makes my skin feel hydrated. I’ve been using this religiously for the past 4 months and have never experienced patchy dry skin again ever since. Not too sure on the anti-aging claim, but definitely hydrates and lasts all day.

No, no, no! I’m 60 years old with dry post menopausal skin and this serum made the pores on and next to my nose look like saucers and caused clogged pores in my t-zone. The first few days and nights I didn’t apply to my t-zone and things were fine. Then I decided to apply to my entire face and the next morning I was horrified when I saw the size of my pores and the red inflamed spots.
