although the 4 hour claim is absurd i have to admit that as a treatment this has proven beneficial.
used as the packaging suggests would be terrible for my skin type so whenever a breakout starts i use this only 3 consecutve nights – any more than that i worry could cause unnecessary irritation. those three nights are typically enough to encourage faster healing so long as i treat that area delicately while it resolves.
this stuff is strong and the pads feel rather rough on my face; i prefer to dab it on targeted areas rather than use all over.
the smell isn’t entirely unpleasant – if toners with alcohol and/or facial products with heavy fragrance make your eyes water, you most likely will not get along with this formula.
considering how well these work they are exceptionally good value and easy to find. the lid of the container can be a bit of an optical illusion at times, something to keep in mind should you consider traveling with it.

I used the Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Pads for about two months twice a day. Then I began noticing that I was breaking out more than ever.

So at first, this seemed to be the only thing to minimize my acne and redness overnight. I really liked it and had been using it regularly for… I wanna say a few months. Well now my acne, overall, is a lot less severe (due to many changes) and this is no longer working. I had worked my way up to using it daily, and now more sparingly but it had never dried my face out or did any other damage until recently. Twice now it’s burned the crap out of my face and caused my pimples to bleed. So I’m definitely retiring this & I’ll be looking for something way less harsh. I gave the price four lippies because it’s pretty cheap but still not worth burning your face for. Thanks for reading!

I’ve been using this as an acid toner at night for the past month. It’s made my skin look fresher and helps to clear up the odd spot that pops up very quickly. It doesn’t sting but I do feel it dries out my skin. Will continue to use (2-3 times/week) until I run out but won’t be repurchasing because the alcohol smell is noxious. For the price (£3.99 at boots, on offer), I do like the results!

This will only work depending on your skin type as everyone is different. I had some spots around my jawline so started using this. It worked for the first week then suddenly I started noticing more and more pimples developing. I read somewhere that some new products make your spots come to the surface as its cleaning out the pores so I carried on using them for a further week. Omg I now have a pizza face spots literally everywhere! I think this product was just too strong for my skin and it’s made horrible marks from previous spots that hasn’t healed properly. Hate this product!!

I started using this product after I stopped taking Doxycicline for my cystic acne. I used this years ago back when my face was preteen and almost pimple free (and I thought I had it bad then HA!) but I had all but forgotten about it until I saw it in the supermarket the other week. It has a really strong alcoholic smell which some people might not fancy and i wouldn’t recommend this for sensitive noses or skin types. But the smell just makes me think it’s working so I don’t really mind. It has SA which is great for dealing with cystic acne. And after using 1 or 2 pads a day when I was bothered I can see a dramatic difference in my acne. It’s cheap and it works.

I use this as a toner at night when my skin is acting up. Stings like hell, but I don’t mind, makes me feel like it actually does something. I put a BHA moisturizer on top and leave it for the night. Next morning I always see that something has happened, pimples are smaller, little dryer, a lot closer to the end phase. I don’t use this day and night, as instructed on the packaging, I use this maybe once or twice a week.

I bought this thinking it would work wonders for my skin. Well guess what boo boo? I WAS WRONG. The first day I got it I did just as the directions said and the pads burned my skin, it made it sting very badly. I still continued to use them and I see no difference on my skin. This is the second product I’ve ever bought from the, not buying any more of their products. They’re expensive and don’t work at all for me… I’m very very disappointed.

I was recently introduced to AHAs and was on the lookout for a budget buy to try out. I didn’t know if it was going to work for me, and I didn’t want to invest in to anything high end. This product was the one I found with the highest concentration of salicylic acid so I bought it.
I’ve only tried it out for a couple of days and I am IMPRESSED. A few pimples I had here and there cleared up almost overnight, any redness I had from previous spots became far less noticeable and my face is glowing.
This is an excellent product, as long as someone makes it work for their skin; apart from the salicylic acid it also has a high alcohol concentration so unless you have a really really bad skin day, I wouldn’t recommend using it more than once a day. Personally I have a fairly normal skin now (my skin changes according to season and where I am), and I use it once a day, every evening after I cleanse, for my toner step and I follow with a facial oil for moisturizing. If, however, I had dry skin, I would use it only a couple of times per week if at all.
Overall, if you’re feeling spotty or you have uneven skin I would highly recommend it!
(Took away one lippie for the high alcohol concentration which may be irritating for some skins)
