This serum surprised me – I had initially used it on my face, but didn’t see any kind of measurable results. I didn’t want it to go to waste, so I started using it on my throat instead. I’ve been using this consistently for the last couple of weeks, exclusively on my neck/upper chest and I’ve seen noticeable results. My skin is smoother, and any lines that were starting have faded noticeably. It’s unexpected, since I didn’t start out planning to use it on my neck, but the results are solid. I think the neck/upper chest tends to be neglected, and this was a happy accident. I’ll actually re-purchase and use as part of my overall skin regime, and give my neck some love!

This is an okay serum – not overly wow, but still provides a little “something” that I am not left feeling like I am doing something for the sake of it. I only apply it at night, along with the matching face cream. I think it does just enough to leave my skin feeling, and looking, soft and smooth. I can’t say it does much for skin tone, but I think it does help in minimizing pores (just a little). Plus, I don’t feel like it is overly scented or irritating (at least to me it doesn’t). However, and perhaps it is because I only apply it at night, I don’t feel like it is giving me amazing results. (I would say that it has lasted me all summer, and I still have some left over, so I think I have given it relatively good amount of time to do its work.) Nonetheless, I don’t plan on repurchasing this. Plus, it is relatively expensive for just okay results.

First of all, I must say that Clinique products rarely cause my skin to breakout. The Clinique Smart Custom-Repair Serum did cause a few breakouts but that was at the beginning of using it, after a few weeks this did stop. This does have some ingredients that can cause acne and breakouts so I assume that is why. The other disappointment is that after a few months of use I didn’t really notice any visible difference. I have had much, much better luck with the Clinique Smart Treatment Oil. And the third thing I wasn’t excited about was the inclusion of grapefruit peel oil for fragrance. The grapefruit peel oil was higher up on the ingredient list than i would have liked. In my opinion, the Clinique Smart Custom Repair Serum is better for people who don’t have any specific aging problems they want to address but those just looking for a product that has a decent overall formula but not looking to treat fine lines, hyperpigmentation, sagging skin, etc. I found that this did contain beneficial ingredients but not ingredients that can really focus on one skincare issue. If you have normal to dry skin I do recommend the Clinique Smart Treatment Oil- this product’s results were noticeable in the first week of use. My video review can be seen here: k

I tried a sample of this and fell in love. I bought the small size and started using it as instructed. Twice a day with moisturizer on top. I started having some dryness on my face. Shortly thereafter, itching and soreness on my face was making me go crazy. I changed my moisturizer thinking may be the combination was not working for me. The irritation got worse. Honestly, I am really sorry that this did not work for me. Within a couple of days usage, I saw a huge difference on my face. My skin looked flawless. If it was not for the allergic reaction, this would be HG material.

I really like this serum. I’ve been using this every night for 2 months. I see a big difference in fine lines.
My skin is definitely softer and smoother. Total win for me. Doesn’t aggravate my oily aging skin. Will continue to repurchase.

I feel like the “smart” serum is trying to do too many things – thus not that effective on any of the fronts it’s trying to tackle. I like Clinique Turnaround serum a lot more, It doesn’t promise to reduce fine lines but unlike this one, it really delivers when it comes to radiance. The Smart serum is not worse than a lot of serums with similar claims in the same price range but I’d rather try something else before repurchasing it.

I don’t know why they say that Clinique products are overrated. This is the first time that I buy a serum from Clinique and I have been using this product for two weeks and a half with their Smart Night cream and The day cream spf 15, during the day and night, and it is really awesome, it has diminished my fine lines and tighten my skin, and helping a bit with my skin tone, what else can I ask for. And this is the first time I want to repurchaise an antiaging serum, I have try with Paula’s Choice serums wich are good but they are too much colagen and Clarins serums which did nothing to my skin.

I am only 17 so I dont think that I need to use a serum but it was a gift to me for one of my orders so i used it. I cant tell any difference on my skin its just a really good serum it gives my skin “plumped” feeling you know and i like it but i would never pay that money for this products because its so expensive and i dont think its worth it

Lightweight. Didn’t cause any irritation/pimples for me. It’s silicone-rich so it gives a soft feeling but I try to avoid silicone-rich products. But it does have some impressive ingredients as well. I’m surprised some reviewers here and on other websites have mentioned the scent, I didn’t smell anything bad. Of course it has a light scent of the ingredients but didn’t even get my attention until I read the reviews.
I won’t be buying though because I didn’t see a difference between this expensive serum and a cheaper moisturizer to be honest. I love a product with extracts and oils in the ingredients but I would personally prefer one without high amount of silicone, especially if I’m going to pay this amount of money. It is a good product, just not for me and my budget.

Used 3 30ml bottles and it cleared 90% of my acne scarring BUT I think it did give me a few minor breakouts, might of been the algae not sure my skin likes that ingredient.
