I love most of the Paula’s Choice products I’ve tried, but this did nothing to fade either my melasma or my acne scars. I therefore won’t repurchase. Should you be interested in trying it, I can tell you it does have a nice gel-cream texture that layers well with other skin care–no tackiness or pilling. It stung me slightly, but nothing too horrendous. The packaging is a slim tube that should last you quite a while since you need to use only a little at a time.

Thank you make-up-alliers! This product blows. Not only does it not work but it gave me spots as well. I suppose I should say it MAY have givenexpired spots but it for sure didn’t to a thing about the hyper-pigmentation that I have. Get P50, try a MUAC chemical peel and use Shark Sauce. And of course Sunscreen EVERYDAY. No I do not work for any of these brands, it’s just what I use and I am finally seeing results!

Wow, this product was bad. I had to discontinue it almost immediately. Very irritating….the company should definitely look into why this product gives such a horrible reaction instead of bad mouthing other skincare lines!!! Just a thought….

I received this as a free sample when I ordered the Paula’s Choice Clear line along with the Resist Toner (which I love) but was appalled to see that the areas where I applied this has left a dark stain on my skin. My acne scars were already being lightened but wanted to try this out and applied this on them. When I washed my face again (I wash my face once in the morning and once at night) the areas where this was applied left dark spot marks on my face as if it had stained my skin! I am so scared that this is going to stay this way. I regret not doing a “patch” test but I didn’t think I had to since I don’t have extremely sensitive skin. I wish I could give this zero lippies. WTF Paula’s Choice!

I would give this product infinite minus stars/infinite black holes if I could.
The product was not really doing anything in the beginning. I thought I did not give it enough time. Since this product was on sale, I bought more. Big mistake! I should have not let the dark spots bothered me too much. Abnormal growths formed on my nipples. I did not even apply the lotion on my nipples; however, it was the only product I used close to my nipples.
As I looked in the mirror tonight, I realized it is time I do my share and warn the others of the potential danger of this product and possibly hydroquinone. In my opinion, there are good reasons why hydroquinone is banned or under strict controls in many regions around the world. Now, I am living with deformed nipples.
On a side note, I find it distressful that PC would say very nasty things about substances that are not banned e.g. essential oils. Yet, she continue to include hydroquinone that is banned/strictly controlled in many developed countries in her products. I did submit a review about this product on PC’s website more than a week ago. My review has not been published, nor have I received a contact from PC customer support team. I wonder why.

I might have to give this 5 lippies but it’s too soon to tell. Prelimary results are really good, though. I am using this to try to reduce the pigmentation on the sides of my neck, right below my ears. I know, weird, right? It seems to be hyperpigmentation (melasma?) due to hormonal change or, whatever, but it was driving me crazy because it just looked like I forgot to wash my neck. Gross. Anyway, the gel is very nicely packaged in a way that you don’t have to touch the tip of the tube to get the product; it is a thin, clear gel that easily comes out the tube. I don’t notice any annoying fragrance, maybe it smells a bit like rubbing alcohol but smell does not linger. I have been using this twice a day for about 2 weeks and I’m thrilled to report that the patches of darker skin seem to be lightening up. I’m also applying it to my decollette area in hopes of fading a stubborn, small dark spot there. In that area I have the typical beginnings of the crinkly/crepey chest skin you notice the most in the morning after sleeping on your side and the skin gets all smooshed up? yeah. I have not noticed much in the way of improvement there, but I am not as religious about application there.
On a different note, my 17-year old daughter is having good results with the CLEAR acne line from Paula’s Choice. We ordered the trial kit and she is moving in the right direction for clearer skin. Consistancy is key, of course, but I’m happy with Paula’s Choice products so far and the shipping was SUPER FAST! Also found some good discounts on retailmenot website. I hope to post update later if my result changes.
UPDATE:
I just finished writing a review for Nadinola fade cream. It works better than PC so I’m docking PC a lippie. I do like PC products but this one turned out to be just “meh”.

I HAD TWO SAMPLES.
This has both a pH and enough AHA that will allow the AHA to work. It also encludes 2% hydroquinone wich will work for dark spots.
If you do not have dark spots,or you have brown or red marks from acne don’t get too hopeful for the hydroquinone to lighten your skin. Some acne users find hydroquinone helpful( including me),yet it is believed to only help hyperpigmentation.
The AHA will help in exfoliation though; it will reveal younger, brighter skin ,and at the least exfoliate the top portion of comedones. This will undoubtly make your skin look younger when used properly, and with a sunscreen.
The texture is a lightweight lotion filled with helpful skin ingredients. Depending on your skin type the lotion may be too light or heavy for you.
