I don’t have particularly sensitive skin (I use AHA and Rx retin-a micro), but this serum burned my face, especially around the eyes. Painful, itchy, blotchy red rash.
I’ve used other vitamin C serums without issue so it’s something in this particular product.

There is something in this that makes my skin react badly, It has been itchy all day, in fact, it looks burnt and now at the end of the day it is still very red. This will take a few days to settle. I have used anti-histamine and moisturiser to settle it slightly. This has happened before and after many months I gave it another try, the same reaction. I wish I knew if there was one ingredient out of the 23 that is more likely to cause a reaction.

I just finished my first bottle of this. This booster is very light, fragrance free, and I had none of the issues with greasiness that other people seem to be experiencing, if anything this product was a little drying when used on its own. I was hoping to see some improvement in the light sun spots on my face, and while this did help very slightly with the overall brightness of my complexion it didn’t help with those sun spots and I didn’t see results that were dramatic enough to justify a 2nd purchase. Right now I’m trying to pare down my skincare routine to just the essentials, and having to fiddle around with the bottle and dropper twice a day for lackluster results wasn’t justifiable. Speaking of the dropper, it doesn’t reach all the way down to the bottom of the bottle which means when you get near the end you’ll have to tip it over into the palm of your hand to get the last several applications out, leading to a waste of product.

I’ve been looking & researching a good and effective vitamin C serum to add to my routine, and reviews about this product caught my eye. The article I was reading stated that this product was $38. I thought that was reasonable for a product of this supposed caliber. However, when I went to purchase it, it was almost $53 w/tax. I decided to get it because if it was good, it would be worth it. I used it one time at night, and the next morning my skin looked blotchy-not at all what I had expected. I could immediately see that this product did not agree with me. As the day went on (although I had thoroughly cleansed the product off), my cheek became red and itchy, and several small bumps appeared. This continued throughout that day & the next. I resumed my regular routine and my skin calmed down. I waited a few days, and tried the serum again. The same thing happened. I went to the store for a refund. This product was also very sticky once applied. I did not like this product and would not recommend at all.

This is another treatment you add a few drops to your serum,
then smooth over cleansed face and neck.
It makes your skin glow. Very good product for dry, flat skin.

Nevermind, this product is just unacceptable because it oxidizes and spoils within a week or two.
PC has completely failed with a strong Vitamin C serum. The C15 is great in theory (dupe for Skinceuticals, right?) but its useless so fast. It just becomes a slick, shiny piece of grease.
The C25 is a lovely product on its own but it is NOT a vitamin C serum, rather, it is a spot treatment.
Thus, if you want a strong vitamin C serum that lasts you’re going to need to look to another brand.

I wanted to love this product, which combines 15% Vitamin C with Vitamin E and ferulic acid, but I didn’t see any results, unfortunately. My bottle did smell really bad right out the gate, so I think it possible I got a bad one. For this reason, I may try this again one day (and update my review if so), but as of now, I have no plans to repurchase.
This is a clear orange liquid that feels very silicone-y. This means it spreads easily but also leaves your skin feeling almost greasy. If you don’t like ‘cones, you may not like this. The current price on this is almost $50 (for 0.67 fl oz), but Paula’s Choice has frequent, excellent sales.

This review is a difficult one for me as I had been using Skinceuticals CE serum which I absolutely love. I purchased Paula’s Choice C15 booster to see if it was the same as, better than, or worse than the Skinceuticals CE Serum. After using this product for 3 months, I really like it a lot. Maybe not as much as the Skinceuticals CE serum, but it is close. But it is the price that makes the Resist C15 Booster my first choice serum. I love Skinceuticals and if you dropped the price to at least $100 then I would return to it, otherwise it is Paula’s Choice for me.

A product that will make your face shiny and sticky.
I’ve used 3 bottles of Paula’s Choice C15 Booster to give this product a chance to work on my skin but all it did was gave me flesh colored bumps. It seems to have clogged my pores. The clogged pores disappeared after I stopped using this.
I didn’t like the way my skin looked with the C15 Booster.
I’m also frustrated with Beautypedia that they didn’t mention any negative reviews (there are over 80 negative reviews on Paula’s Choice website) – many of them mentioning the sticky and shiny effects.
The problem is, they have no problem calling out on competing products that makes your skin sticky and shiny – even if there’s just one person who mentioned it.
There should be no bias in Truth in Beauty.

I read the reviews and I see I wasn’t the only one this product was too strong for. My reactions were: skin peeling, burning/tingling sensation, some redness, especially around my eyes. At first I thought it was because I used the BHA exfoliant in the morning, followed by this. So I skipped the BHA and tried it alone, with only one drop. Same thing happened again but to a milder degree. I use PC’s 1% retinol at night. Don’t have sensitive skin as such. Gonna have to stop using and slap on some la mer to rescue my face now, alas.
