This is a reformulated version and it is not performing as well as the original one. The original one was dispensed as a foam and used weekly, it was amazing. This one has the same potency but is a gel-like fluid and it just doesn’t do the job. I am perplexed. I thought of calling the company but you know they’ll just say it’s the same thing blah, blah. I’m really disappointed because I relied on this. It’s even a 1/2 ounce less than the original. I use the 2% solution two times a day but even increasing the amount won’t matter. I have mature, well tended normal skin so I don’t think anyone with problems would find this helpful.
UPDATE: the company said it reformulated it so that it can be used as frequently as needed instead of once a week. It is supposed to be the same potency though. Based on performance you would have to use it 3 times a week and with 30% less product in the bottle.

Fantastic product. I use it once a week. I may try twice . It exfoliates the skin and makes you glow. It’s also great for pores and keeping them clean . I still have two do a facial every 2 or 2.5 months but this product has make a big difference

I got the Resist Advanced Pore-Refining Treatment 4% BHA as part of a set with the 2% BHA from the Resist Collection (the “BHA Exfoliant Duo”). It’s a silicone-y fluid that comes in an ingenious dropper bottle that keeps the product safe from light and air. I enjoyed using it, and I thought it might be amplifying the results I was getting from the 2% BHA. However, now that I’m using one of Paula’s other 2% BHAs (the classic Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid) on its own and continuing to see great results, I don’t feel like I need this. Still, it’s a great product and one I may well revisit in the future.

This is an average BHA sold by PC at the right percentage and pH for a BHA to work. It has many good ingredients.
Such as:
peptides that act as SCC.
Lecithin that acts as a SII.
Chamomile, licorice, white tea and oat that serve as AII
And
Grape seed extract, vitamin C, punicum gratanum fruit extract that function as antioxidants.
I’d say that this work best for oily skin. It has a gel like feeling. It has a sticky feel like it ‘sits’ on the skin. I would not recommend this for dry skin. If you have really stubborn acne this might be worth a try since the BHA is higher.
Is this BHA worth it? Well it will work but Paula’s line sells many BHA’s that work just as well as this. The packaging is kind of small ( a lot of products in her line are). This comes in mostly opaque covering to protect the delicate ingredients inside. Aside from a small oval slot on the side. This is applied with a pipette. You will have to use a couple squeezes to apply the product to your whole face. Also don’t squeeze the pipette while its inside the bottle or you can risk contamination.
