This product does amazing things– but you have to experiment with using the right amount for your hair. It doesn’t leave your hair sticky or dull. There is no unpleasant odor, the scent is very light. The diameter of each hair seems to plump up and it gets better over time. I’ve found this product works best in combination with other products. On towel dried hair, I shoot this into the roots on the crown, top, and sides (about 9 pumps). Then, I use Nioxin Thickening Spray in the same areas (about 9 sprays). Then, I dot Biomega’s Up All Night Volume Foam (about 8 dots). This REALLY makes a big difference in the volume I get. btw, I didn’t find any difference between the silver label and the (more expensive) gold label. Both work equally well!

I did my research and watched a video about using this stuff, but I wish I had saved my money. Hair is totally flat after blow drying, no lift, no fullness, nada.

I love this product. Seriously love it. Diamax is a fairly new product from Nioxin that is supposed to “deliver visibly thicker-looking hair after one use… Protect hair against breakage… and thicken existing hair against breakage”. It does all of that and does it well. It’s expensive at about $40-$50 CDN for 100 ml but for me, it’s worth it. My hair has been noticeably thinning around my hairline due to stress and menopause and getting any fullness from my hair has been difficult. I also have to wet and style my hair every day now due to it being so thin and flat. With Diamax, I don’t have to do that anymore. I can wake up in the morning and tousle my hair and it looks fine. Ive used it on dry hair and when my hair is damp and both ways work well. I apply it to my roots only and not the ends.
Diamax also contains caffeine and Niacinamide which I have read helps to promote hair growth. I’ve been using this a few weeks so can’t comment on hair growth benefits though I believe that a healthy diet and good omega 3’s probably helps more that a topical treatment other than rogaine,
I will definitely be buying this again because it makes my hair look so much fuller and healthier.
