This stuff stinks. It smells like a weird blend of medicine and fish. I have to hold my breath everytime I use it. I bought this along with the Renew Toner (which smells much better, but stinks my eyes). Fortunately, this rose hip oil does work and helps with my dry patches. I went on a holiday a few days back and forgot to bring this along. My dry patches came back and I found my skin thirsting for this. 2 to 3 small drops is really all you need for the face. I only use it at night together with my moisturizer to mask the nasty odour. I believe you do not have to use it everyday, but only when your skin needs it. If the smell wasn’t so bad, I might give it another lippie. 🙁

I got this in a promotional pack with the antioxidant cream. I remember being recommended this as the lady at the shop told my it would be good for my eczema. When I first applied it to my hand, I was surprised the colour of the oil was yellow. It smells unusual as well, meaning like nothing I have ever smelt. I used 2 drops on my face and neck. It goes a long way. It seems to make my complexion better and I do not have any allergies to it. I used it under the antioxidant cream.
After a few months of use, it does not moisturize my skin as much as before.

My first time trying facial oils and have been loving it since then. I bought this because it was on sale and i read the benefits one could get from it, so i thought i would give it a try. The bottle can last a very long time. I used it every night and it didn’t clogged my pores. I woke up with hydrated skin the next morning. The smell is not that good but after some time, you will get used to it. The only thing i did not like about this product is the packaging! After few months of using it, the rubber pipette melted and i had to throw it away. Luckily, i was already at the bottom of the bottle by that time.
Bought the trilogy rosehip oil antioxidant after emptying this. I would say i prefer the renew one more because it is definitely cheaper and i could see better results from it. The trilogy rosehip oil antioxidant clogged my pores, even though Renew has a more watery consistency and more unpleasant smell than trilogy’s.

1 week into using this product:
1. Not single pimple since I used this product
2. made my face brighter
3. i have combination skin and it does not make my face oilier despite the tropical weather
4. i use it before i slp because i slp in air-conditioned room so it’s really drying. i just use the oil over face and moisturizer on my cheeks and it’s really hydrating. wake up to baby skin in the morning
DEFINITE repurchase, cheaper alternative to Trilogy! Recommended to all my friends. It’s convenient to get too since it’s available in all watsons!

For the history of how awful my skin used to be, pls refer to my review on Bio-Oil. This comes with a sanitary dropper and I’ve been using this product since 15 May til date; concurrent with my skin-care regime of Laneige Sensitive Gel Cleanser & Tamagohada Gentle Foaming Exfoliator. I do not use any toner, so this RHO acts as my after-cleansing moisturizer.
During dry periods, especially when I exfoliate after cleansing (usually for my night skin care regime), I’ll apply 2 drops of this onto my palm. Then with the index finger of my other hand, I’ll slowly pat this in equal amounts to the dry areas of my face (the cheeks) until I feel that they are fully absorbed. I used to apply to my chin areas as well but got a bit of milia after awhile, and so I ceased doing that. If I did not use Tamagohada for a particular night, I’ll just deal with 1 drop. In the mornings, I’ll only use 1 drop if my skin feels tight and dry; otherwise I’ll skip it altogether.
During my initial usage, I massaged/rubbed the oil into my skin, which is a mistake I realized later, cos RHO contains a little bit of Retin-A property hence any rubbing or prolonged “vigoroous” movements might cause redness. I saw the miracle during my first usage! If you guys read my Bio-oil review, you’ll realize that the day I stopped using Bio-oil is the first day I started on RHO. The redness that was left by Bio-oil was IMMEDIATELY gone after using RHO. Even my mum, who thought I heed her advice and stopped using Bio-oil (she didn’t know I subbed with RHO), commented on de day of my first usage, “Hey! your face ain’t so red anymore!” So I continued my usage without telling her until a few weeks later, when my skin improved alot more that I let her in to my “secret” XD.
My pores are smaller and more refined, redness never came unless I had a pimple, skin became bouncier and laugh lines faded. And the best part? Pimple only came during those monthly encounters ^_^ b. I’m REALLY REALLY satisfied with what I have for my skin now. If Bio-oil used to do wonders for my skin, RHO just took it to the next level!! The only reason why I took one lippie off is cos of the slightly strong smell if I start layering it on the same patch of skin. It smelt somewhat like grass? Not like roses, just plant-like. Even beneath foundation, the smell lingers. But if I only used 1 drop for my whole face, the smell won’t be as obvious. Recently I’ve read reviews that keeping it in the fridge will retain its freshness and reduce the intensity of the smell, so I did n IT WORKED! ^_^
All in all, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! P.S. I’ve found trilogy RHO during my trip in Penang and it retails for RM 60~66. And it indeed has a much much lighter/less noticeable smell. So for those who are turned away by Renew’s strong scent can try to get Trilogy’s. However, since I’m just needing the effects of RHO and Renew is the brand readily available in Singapore, I’ll take it. Will continue to repurchase for sure!

I jumped on the rosehip oil bandwagon after hearing numerous reports on how good it is for anti-aging. I started using it in the UK during wintertime, and it felt too heavy and ‘flat’ on my skin. It smells like cooking oil. After using it for a month, I saw no difference in my skin. It looked the same as ever. I’ve resorted to using it on my dry hands instead, but I still really hate the smell. My quest for natural oils continues….

I know what’s best for my skin, and Rose Hip is definitely one of nature’s best created elixir for skincare. I have been an avid fan of Trilogy’s infamous rosehip, and decided to give Renew a chance after seeing this on a local pharmacy. It comes in a tinted glass bottle, with a built-in dropper. Texture wise, this is definitely richer than Trilogy’s one. It has a deeper yellow hue to it as well. However, I must say that in terms of performance wise….this is on par with Trilogy. Better yet, at a fraction of the price. 🙂 I warmed 2-3 drops of this oil between my palms and pat it across my face after toner. I have been told to NEVER rub any form of facial oil on the face as it will weaken the skin membrane…Gentle pats would suffice. 🙂 So far, I’m liking how it feels on my skin. Gives a very nice glow to the skin, and skin stays very hydrated throughout all conditions. Sometimes, I add 1-2 drops of this oil to my regular moisturiser for that extra moisturization under the dry air-condition environment I’m working in. I recommended Rosehip to my sisters and mother, so far the feedbacks have been satisfactory!

I started using Renew’s RHO when I was only 20 years old. I heard all about the great benefits of RHO – preventing wrinkles, repairing sun damage, moisturising the skin and maintaining elasticity and suppleness. I got sold on the fact that it was also a 100% natural product with no preservatives and synthetic chemicals.
Renew RHO hydrates the skin without leaving a greasy film unlike a bottle of RHO I had bought online direct from Argentina.
This hydrates the skin without causing my acne-prone skin to flare up, which is surprising since many websites claim RHO gives rise to acne re-occurrence in oily, blemished skin – especially since I live in Singapore where it is humid and sunny all year round.
This oil comes in a brown tinted bottle to preserve the integrity of the product. I also believe in the “natural-ness” of it as I notice the coloring of the oil is inconsistent. For the past 2 years, I have got oil which was a deep golden color and some are a light yellow tone. This is common in natural products where the harvests aren’t processed chemically.
I would purchase this again for price-economy and the fact that it makes my skin radiant and glowy.
Love it!

I have just discovered rosehip oil myself and Renew happened to be the first brand I picked up at the store. Now, I have no other brand to compare this to but so far I LOVE the packaging, it can help you be very economical in your use of the oil. I use RO on all scars, old, new, scratches and insect bites. I have used it for just over 1 week, only applying it at nighttime, and have been taking vitamin e supplements over the same period. The results have been AMAZING… normally it takes forver (up to 6months) for any scarring on my legs to disappear but already I can see that my scars are lightening. I will continue to use RO and now that I’ve discovered from other MUAers that you can use it under the eyes for dark circles, I’m going to definitely give it a go too! Greatest discovery I’ve made for a long time – truly!
