This is probably good for sensitive or dry skin, but for me it seems more like a cleansing oil than an exfoliator. After rinsing I don’t feel that same silky-smoothness I’m used to from my Glycolic Acid cleansers. I wanted to see what ingredients worked as exfoliants, but I don’t know enough about skin chemistry to determine how this product works. I laughed when I found that Alkyl benzyl trimethyl ammonium chloride is used as a pesticide, because that’s bound to ignite paranoia in cosmetics conspiracy theorists, but I couldn’t find information about the use of this ingredient in cosmetics. Wonder if this product keeps mosquitoes away? (This ingredient is, apparently, also used in toilet bowl cleaners, so I’m guessing it may disinfect to help clear acne). This peel also has castor oil, which is an important ingredient in many oil-cleansers. This doesn’t have gritty ingredients to polish skin. Instead it balls up like wax, and the little balls slough skin. The way this feels reminds me of Fruitique Papaya Enzyme Exfoliating Gel (which costs around $12.00 for 6 oz.), and I’m thinking it’s wonderful if you need mild exfoliation that won’t irritate like sand or ground fruit pits. I’m used to 5% Glycolic acid cleansers/toners and prescription .05% Tretinoin, so maybe I just need to use this peel more than 2x to experience the effects. I got a sample from Birchbox, but at this point I’m not tempted to spend nearly $50.00 on this…(I love Lather 10 Minute Brightening Mask which costs $28.00 for 4 oz.)

Received a sample in my Birchbox and tried for 1st time today. I like the idea of the massage but frankly feel that the massage does more for the skin than the actual product. It’s ridiculously expensive. I tried on a new moisturizer than tingles so now so I’ll need to see whether it’s the peel or the cream
