Love that Murad uses air tight sealed containers so there’s no risk of contamination. Anyway, I’ve felt this is a solid if not slightly weak Vitamin C serum. I don’t think it can reverse a lifetime of summers like it claims, but it appears to certainly help pigmentation and even has lightened some of my atrophic acne scars. In combo with the moisturizers I can say this has improved my skin texture. Like other very pricy Murad serums, it can last easily up to 3 months so, that helps the price a bit. Since I have oily, dense, masculine skin I’ll probably be looking to try out some other, more hardcore vitamin C serums, but overall I’m happy with the moderate, yet significant progress this one offered me.

Wow, I am honestly blown away by this serum. I had been using Philosophy’s “No Reason to Hide” serum and I was really enjoying it but this has much faster results. I am vampire white and tend to get very noticeable scarring from any cystic acne outbreaks. Within three weeks of using this they aren’t just faded but have almost vanished. My skin looks brighter and less dull during this Canadian winter, and my pores look slightly more refined.
I really enjoy the pump in this serum as it feels very sterile and clean. It smells slightly like oranges and the fragrance doesn’t bother me even though I’m sensitive. It sits really nicely under makeup and absorbs quickly. The texture is that of a very light gel (it doesn’t hydrate). I find a pump is enough to do my whole face but you have to work quickly because as previously mentioned it absorbs fast.
I was a skeptic not only because I was loving the previous product I was using but also because I am quite sensitive to some vitamin c skincare. Honestly after using this I am beyond impressed and would recommend it to anybody with visible scarring or discolouration. I don’t have one bad thing to say about this serum. Effective, easy to use, smells nice, works with all my other skincare, sits under makeup. Bravo!

I received a deluxe sample of this product from Sephora. When used once a day, the .17 oz sample lasted me about 3 weeks (and that’s with just under one pump per use). The Murad Advanced Active Radiance Serum — which I believe is the same product as the Active Radiance Serum — purports to “boost radiance and reverse visible signs of environmental damage.” Because I am meticulous about wearing SPF every day, I can’t speak to this serum reversing anything. However, I do have visible acne scarring on my face from a disastrous few months spent with a Clarisonic (I know many MUAers love their Clarisonic, but for me it was a nightmare no matter how I used it), and this did help in lightening some of them quite visibly, which is what I took “radiance” to mean. I applied every night after toning and before a moisturizer and eye cream. As much as I liked it, however, at this point I will not be purchasing the full size as it is quite expensive and it did break me out just a bit.

I received a free sample and used this several times. I’m impressed with the results so I went to purchase the full size- wow 1 oz is almost 100 bucks so I have to really think before deciding to purchase the full size. It works well at clearing the skin and it actually does make my skin look 100 percent better in the morning after applying it at night.

Absolutely love this stuff. After a bout of nasty little breakouts around my jaw line from the summer and rising temperature, I starting using a travel size tube that I purchased. I was amazed at how it repaired the acne damage done by poking my blemishes (I know I shouldn’t have). This has become a staple in my makeup bag. Overall, saw improvement in tone, brightness, firmness, and clarity, Pricy but worth it and a little bit goes along way

I dont know if i’m gonna buy this again, I like the truth serum from Ole Henriksen more.. But until now I really like it, but I don’t like the smell though..
I’ll update later.

I had high hopes for this until it stung my face upon application. It continued to sting for a 1/2 hr afterwards. I’m usually not sensitive to products but isn’t working out.

I used to be this crazy product junkie until i found a really good dermatologist for my skin which suffered from a really really terrible outbreak after using Clarisonic Mia. By then, i had already bought this Murad Active Radiance Serum and a whole bunch of stuff. So after my skin recovered, i decided to test this out on just half of my face.
Granted, i should have used it twice a day instead of once as stated on the bottle but I was worried about break outs. After 2-3 months or so, i can say that there is really no difference between the left side of my face and the right. So, this product did nothing. In fact, upon first few applications, I got a few zits popping out on the side of the face I applied on. It cleared up after awhile though. I like the feeling after application – skin felt tighter and cooler, but really, for the price of the product, I would expect more visible difference.
So, I rather save my money on beauty products and spend them on a good derm instead. Hopefully, I heed my own advice the next time i step into Sephora.

This product is godsent! I have never been happier with my skin condition after using this product. After just a few days of using it, I noticed a fairer complexion, even skin tone and my dark spots (from acne scars) have noticeably faded, though not completely but I am happy with the results.
I am yet to see my skin improve in the long term.
Though the downside to this product is the price. It is very very expensive. Though I still see myself repurchasing in the future. I’m just too happy with what it has done to my skin.

I get regular facials at Massage Envy where they use Murad products. They used this on me last week and I loved it so I decided to get a sample at Sephora to see how it worked over a few days. It’s great so I purchased it. Since it’s so expensive I searched eBay and found it for less.
