Background: Oily, acneic, sensitive, reactive skin with no blemishes before I tried this product. I did not apply anything over it. Applied it nightly on a clean face before going to bed.
I have been trying a lot of new (new to me) beauty products from Zulily for the past several months. This is one of the items I bought and have had a chance to test it out for about a week. That has been a long enough trial to know this is not a product I can use. I now have about 6-7 blemishes ranging from whiteheads to one deeper, maybe cystic comedone. From the title, I expected the opposite.
For those with less reactive, maybe normal combo skin, this may be a good product. It does hydrate well, enough for my oily skin, although for those with drier skin it may not provide enough. It did plump my skin, leave it looking healthier.
You can smell the alcohol in it, which just screams barrier damage to me. Other than the alcohol, there is no detectable fragrance. Zulily is bad about not listing product ingredients, so I blindly purchased before checking them and it contains triclosan. This brand is an Australian based company, so triclosan is apparently not banned there. It is here in the U.S. as a known carcinogen and was removed from products like toothpaste and shampoos for oily hair/drandruff.
I would give it 4 lippies if it did not contain so much alcohol and the triclosan as it may work for someone with different skin.
It comes in a cylindrical pump bottle. Dispenses easily and just the right amount.
Won’t repurchase and do not recommend for sensitive, acneic skin.
