Okay I have a few notes on this product. But overall I would rate it very very highly & have already stocked up with 3 new bottles.
First, I noticed a difference on my acne scars/spots (the leftover dark spots after a particularly large zit) after only a couple weeks of use. They were noticeably lightened. Now after having gone thru an entire bottle, the spots are significantly lighter. Not gone all the way but very VERY close. Where beforehand I would be able to see the spots thru makeup (I only use a light MAC studio fix) & would have to use a heavier concealer, now they are completely unnoticeable w/just a light powder. I predict they will be gone entirely with continued use. BUT! I’d like to mention that I initially used some on a few dark acne spots on my upper arms, & because it was summer & I had a tan, the treatment actually caused a white splotch around the area I used it with. Meaning that rather than simply lightening the spot, it created a small dime sized white splotch significantly lighter than my skin. I attributed this to the fact that I had such a recent tan on my arm, because it did not cause that same sort of discoloration on my face.
Secondly, I recently began using the spot corrector along the entire bridge of my nose where after this summer I had a light splattering of tiny freckles. The treatment has caused the freckles to fade almost entirely! I am amazed!
Lastly, I wanted to note that for larger more significant sun spots by mother had no luck using this. So it’s not magic for everyone, but for me it’s been very close to magic and is now an essential part of my beauty & skincare routine!! now.

I really like using many different ingredients to use for lightening my skin and also helping dull hyperpigmentation. The Peter Thomas Roth Potent C Targeted Spot Brightener uses a combination of vitamin c and ferulic acid to help lighten dark spots such as melasma and hyperpigmentation. You really will only want to apply this to specific areas because the formula is pretty strong and could cause a little bit of drying. I did notice some lightening on the spots I was using it on but after a couple weeks it seemed to reach the maximum amount of effectiveness, but it definitely helped. I do question a couple of their ingredient choices, but overall this is a well-rounded, fragrance-free, and well packaged product. Now I just wish PTR was cruelty free and a touch more affordable.
