Restore & Renew is the second serum by Boots No7 I tried. The last one just didn’t do anything but this one made me breakout the 1st night I used it. I couldn’t believe I woke up with 2 huge and painful pimples from one use. Going back.

Part of the Restore and Renew set.
Like most serums, I woke up with a spot on my cheek from a clogged pore. I don’t break out easily but I do have sensitive skin and I notice anything with the word “serum” usually gives me issues. I think it may be the silicone. If I put on a serum at night, the next morning I inevitably have one or two spots on my cheek or on my chin. The kind of spot that is a bump of a clogged pore. I thought this might be different, as it’s not one of those watery serums but no. It’s just the same. Breakout City.
This is a thick, translucent serum-cream in a tube. Does work, but has a fragrance and if you have sensitive skin, give it a pass. I guess I have to learn; serums are NO. And right now they are “a thing” so I have to navigate most sets of face cream and make sure to avoid them.
Even tossing or giving away the tube, the set (around Fifty US) is a good deal, meaning two creams, day and night work out to twenty five and it’s equivalent to Regenerist by Olay or Mary Kay. Maybe more effective than Regenerist and about like Mary Kay Timewise but less expensive than MK for which the set is said to be a good substitute.
Summary: I can’t recommend the serum if you break out (I can use it on my neck) but it is smoothing. UPDATE: that was a huge hive, not a pimple or breakout (hard, no oozing, itchy.) So I was absolutely allergic to something in this cream. Sensitive skin–do not use.

I’ve tried to many different Boots No 7 products but I always seem to have the same issue with them- many of them are heavily fragranced. The No 7 Restore & Renew Face & Neck Multi Action Serum has a very heavy floral scent to it. This also has fragrance listed about the beneficial ingredients they included. It appears as though this product has been reformulated a few times, the most recent formula does contain some beneficial ingredients, but not in amounts that made noticeable effects on my skin after a couple months of use. I couldn’t apply this to my neck since the first time I applied it my neck burned and I had to rinse it off. If you don’t have sensitive skin this might not be an issue for you. The benefits did not outway the dryness and overwhelming floral scent for me. My video review is here: E

This clogged my pores, did nothing good for my skin.

>>loove<< Got this as a present! ( yay)! Before using it, I read some of the reviews here, and got really skeptic about it, and of course, horrified of black heads, pimples, etc.But temptation is high :d. So , I used it in the morning, and wow! I am very happy now! I have combination skin, with some large pores around my nose. After I applied this, it s like I not wearing foundation anymore....The pores were gone, and the finish, was luminous ( not shiny) and even. I have been using this for a week now.So far, it didn t broke me out.Doesnt make my face to tight, or shiny, the foundation stays put longer ( average temperature here is ~ 37 C degrees), doesn t iritate, or dehydrate my skin. Overall, I have no idea yet, if this is a "treatment" or just a pore filler, but I am very, very happy with it. Going to do an update after a month of using ( or sooner, it I m starting to break out :)) ) UPDATE 09.07.2010 : I have the forehead of a teenager, and that doesn t mean smooth, but small little bumps all over, very dissapointed! Plus, when I applied this in the morning, my face was no longer bright, but got a bit red! Stopped using it since this morning!

I really realyy believed that this would work and I so wanted it to. Now I have used up the whole thing and it did nothing for me. I have very very fine lines under my eyes and this did nothing at all to plump them up. It is a lot of hype around this product, and I haven’t found a reason why.

I’m in my late thirties and while I have been blessed with pretty good skin, time catches up with us all eventually.
Simply put, this product makes my skin feel and look lovely.
Mind you, I always apply moisturizer over it. (I wear tinted moisturizer instead of foundation) So I cant speak to it’s moisturizing benefits.
But I love it. I’ve used other products, but this continues to be a consistant winner for me.
Love love love it.

A waste of time and money. I used the entire bottle but saw no results whatsoever. Just a lot of hype.

On me this did nothing. Nothing bad, nothing good, just nothing.

This is a silicone base cream.
Meaning it works well ONLY a “temp” fix.
Great before makeup application for under eye, frow lines coverage. Will soften lines (covers/fills).
It is not a “longterm” remedy such as a collagen product or AHA, rentinol, glycolic, etc.
