This product is my final step in replacing all three products in the proactiv line. I have been trying to wean myself off proactiv and this lotion is the closest thing I could find to the repairing lotion. Its active ingredients are Salicylic Acid and Retinol. I’m in Canada and it’s widely sold here but I don’t see the product on the US site, so I’m not sure where to find it outside of Canada or what the comparable product would be.
This is by far one of the most effective OTC acne treatments I’ve found in years. It’s very affordable and REALLY REALLY Works. I’ve recently had a small period of breakout which left a lot of hyperpigmentation on my right cheek. After using this lotion for 7 days, all 5 spots on my face are practically gone, or I can at least go out without concealer and just pressed powder. The new blemish that I picked up this week has been completely dried out and is on its way to healing really well. This treatment does not dry out your face (it’s actually quite hydrating), leaves your skin with a matt finish and I can easily wear makeup over it without any stickiness. After every application, I have seen a remarkable difference in the clarity of my skin. I’ve been using this day and night every day for 7 days now and it’s amazing. It comes in a small tube that looks like tooth paste, and you only need 3 small dabs to cover your entire face, so a little goes a long way. I really hope that they keep this product in their acne care line because I love it.
**** Update (7 days after my original review)***
I cannot say enough about how great this product it. After using this day and night for 14 days, every bump on my face is gone, all my pores are clear and noticeably tighter. The other unexpected side benefit is that my skin is substantially firmer from the Retinol. LOVE this lotion.
