I like this product okay, but I can’t say that I love it. This was a fairly impulsive purchase on my part; it was on sale and the site (wrongly?) had it listed as a serum. I’d say this is a step between serum and day/night cream, or possibly instead of a day/night cream if your skin doesn’t need much moisture. I don’t have too much redness to begin with, but the product appealed to me because my skin is acne prone and usually really stressed out, and anything calming I can throw on my skin is usually beneficial. I started out using it once or twice a day, and I didn’t notice any reaction or worsening of my skin like I often do when introducing new products into my skin care routine. But I also didn’t notice much of a positive difference in my skin. Despite having turned into somewhat of a skin care junkie, I don’t see the point in adding an extra step in my routine that does little to nothing to my skin. Nowadays I use it mainly when I’ve used masks or treatments that irritate my skin, or if I’ve not been able to keep my hands off of my imperfection and I’ve caused myself redness.
For someone who has redness that they want to treat, I think this could work really well though. Perhaps less so for someone like me, who has acne prone skin to a bigger extent than they have redness.
+ Cruelty free
+ Pretty affordable
+ Gentle on the skin
+ Feels slightly cooling on the skin, which is nice
– Has parabens
– I feel like I could probably get a serum that fights redness and not have to deal with this extra step, if I’m honest

What a great little thing I would have missed if the name hadn’t caught my eye in the shelf!
When I read the ingredients I knew I had to buy it. It has some of my favourite ingredients: Squalane? Check. Ceramides? Check. Cholesterol? Check. Licorice extract? Check.
Cholesterol and ceramides are stuff that your own skin oils/barrier is made up of and are easily disturbed, especially by too-harsh cleansing. Without ceramides, for instance, our skin can not hold on to water/moisture, so they are vital.
The product is a very light-feelinf lotion type. Easy to spread and absorbs quickly. Your meant to use it under moisturiser like a serum although the feel is definitely lotion-like. I love the results and am on my second bottle.
I do wlsh they had crammed some hyaluronic acid in there as it doesn’t do much moisture-wise. And the bottle, although the genius air-less pump variety, is terribly bulky for one ounce/30 ml product. Not very friendly to nature. I will keep on buying though since it’s a lovely, affordable product. And I go through a lot since I use it on my problematic lobster hands as well. I sometimes mix it with a HA serum to amp up moisture.
Highly recommended!

I found this Balm on Ulta and after trying Boots Cleansing Water and really liking it I was apt to try more products from them. I have sensitive, combo, skin with one spot every now and then and some left over redness from one’s that have healed. Plus being so fair I get so blotchy! No matter what I get red so finding this was a nice surprise. To me it’s like a serum because it’s thin and milky and absorbs really fast. It soothes my skin so fast and in the A.M. when I get up my skin is totally even. No red marks! Mixing it with CeravePM gives me amazing results!
It has a lot of botanicals like willow bark it feels really good and has not made me break out at all. I use it 2x’s a day and I luv it. It goes great under makeup and makes a great base for primer or moisturizer. I use it like a serum so I layer it after my toner and use a good moisturizer I have a few I’m rotating. The main thing though is this works! It’s gentle, non-irritating,soothing,and moisturizing but not greasy at all. This supposedly is an online only product but I’m going to check my Target because they have a huge Boots line there.
You only need a pump and a half to get your whole face and neck. It absorbs fast and is great for oily/combo skin because it won’t over moisturize. It might not be enough for dry skin or you just might need a stronger moisturizer to put over it and it should work great. I am so happy I have this for Fall/Winter because that is when my skin get’s red the most. It will be nice to have something to counteract the harsh NY weather. Definitely Recommended!
