I love Deciem. I love skincare that is science-based and the way they convey how to use their products, why, and with what other kinds is very attractive to me (in part because I am completely sick of the naturopath scare tactics about “chemicals”). At first, I LOVED this but I started using it with several other Deciem products as part of a new skincare routine. I am part of a Deciem group on facebook and one day I saw someone say that the reason she didn’t like it was that it was causing her to get zits on her chin. I realized I had been having problems with that as well and started testing using another serum for a week and then using the MMHA. I did this for a month. The day after I would use the MMHA I would develop a cystic acne flare-up on my skin. I don’t know what could possibly be in it that would cause that, and that girl is the only person I have ever seen give that review, but if you are acne prone–this MAY not agree with you. I’ll still use it on my forehead and eyes and use other HA products on my chin and cheeks until the bottle runs out, because other than that I really like it, but I probably won’t buy it again.

I’m a 54 Grandma in Las Vegas and I love this product. I use several drops all over my face but love the last steps where I put 1 drop on my upper and lower eyelids (carefully avoiding potential irritation to my eyeballs) and watch the wrinkles and sagging disappear. I then put another drop over my lips and watch them kind of plump up just enough to sooth the angry lines around my lips. So noticeable. I purchased the CAIS to go with this and can’t quite figure out what it does but it probably isn’t as instantaneous as this is.

Can’t get enough of this, I need a gallon container. Deeply moisturizing w/out veering into greasy, even in my oily t-zone (which is much less so since starting MMH). I’ve found other HA’s tend to be like a superficial gel and flake off my skin after several hours. Whereas my skin just drinks in the MMH. I’ve EXTREMELY sensitive, ultra fair, combo skin. This stuff is so amazing during wither months that I sometimes will apply twice in the AM since it absorbs so well! Plumped and bouncy skin/lips <3 lovelovelove it!

Caused dry patches and inflammation almost instantly! I have pretty good (but very dry) skin, so I had high hopes for the MMHC which I bought last summer, but after using it for two days my skin became drier, then red, inflamed, and scaly! It got so bad people noticed. I immediately stopped everything in my regime – using only a medicated hydrocortisone ointment (it was very embarrassing). Then as I gradually re-introduced everything I realised after one use it was the MMHC. This was not during winter and Sydney is very humid so I knew it wasn’t the hyaluronic acid pulling moisture out of my skin because of a dry environment. I couldn’t make sense of it because even when I layered it with other hydrating serums, moisturisers and/or oils I kept getting dry red patches, I tried to persevere thinking my skin might need to build tolerance but it was too drying and irritating.
I couldn’t find anything about anyone else having this reaction so I thought I was just super unlucky and have since avoided all HA like the plague, only recently I read about how lower weight molecules can trigger inflammation, so it’s something to keep in mind for the long term:

I was so excited to try this. HA usually works beautifully with my skin. But there’s something in this that I am reacting to. It stings when it goes on and has been drying me out. I’ve been alternating days with another HA serum and things are good on the days when I use something else, so I know it’s this product that I’m reacting to. It’s too bad – I had been reading all about this and was hoping it would be a go for me.

I loved The Ordinary’s Hyaluronic Acid, so I decided to upgrade when I finished a bottle. In terms or effects, I find they are pretty much the same. For texture, niod’s is lighter and basically like a water.
If you love TO’s hyaluronic acid, I would definitely recommend this product instead since it’s more value for money. Yes this is far more expensive for a similar sized bottle, but because niod’s formula is watery and not thick, the same amount can last you much longer. Basically, because two drops of water is less volume than two drops of gel. I’ve been using this product for about 10 months now and I’ve used up about 90% of the bottle. I find TO’s can only last me 3 months max, both with 2 drops of almost daily use.
I have oily, acne prone and sometimes dehydrated skin. I find it’s a great way of adding hydration and layering moisturising skincare without the added heaviness that you find from traditional moisturising creams or oils. I loved using hyaluronic acid when I was living in dry London, especially in the winter. Sinks in quickly, relieves dry spots and that tight skin feeling. My skin feels more relaxed, if that makes sense?
I’ve now moved from London to a more tropical country so I find I have no use for this anymore since I don’t no longer get dry patches. I still use it, but I find now it doesn’t do much. I would still very much recommend this for anyone suffering from dryness or dehydration!

This product has made my face look glowy and plump. It’s hydrating and very pleasant to use. I’m using it in combination with CAIS twice a day and my skin is behaving like young skin again. I do use a moisturiser on top just to seal it in. My sensitive skin has had no advetse reaction to it. Excellent product, will repurchase.

This is really nothing to write home about. Versus the ordinary, it’s thinner and absorbs better, but that’s about it. I never noticed a difference with either. Hyaluronic acid is just best when taken internally.
