Normally I love Vichy products, so I was shocked by my reaction to this. As soon as I put it on, my skin began to burn and turn red. It was awful. Obviously something in this product is just terrible on my skin. I rinsed it off, washed my face again and used a different moisturizer. I will never use Neovadiol Night again.

So frustrated that I didn’t read reviews first.
I was looking for a thick moisturizer for the harsh wither in my region. This looked good and I like Vichy products overall.
This dried my skin out and burned. No moisturizing qualities for me at all. A total waste of cash.
I liked the scent – but that’s it.

One of the promises of this cream is to “treat sagginess.” I don’t see how ANY cream can “treat” it. Sagging is basically muscles losing their firmness as we get older (happens even as a teenager), how can a topical cream can do anything to strengthen the muscles?? Kind of tired of brands giving false promises.
I got a bunch of samples of this cream and its day version. This night version did not cause any irritation for me, nor for my mother who has more sensitive skin than mine. Also didn’t get my oilyish tzone oilier. But this also means although the cream is advertised as “for dry skin”, it can’t be. If it was for dry skin, it would make my tzone get oilier. If it was for dry skin, it also wouldn’t have an alcohol as 4th in the ingredients which means in high amount. Alcohol is drying. The high alcohol amount also means a pretty strong alcohol smell.
Alcohol denat is one of the problematic alcohol types for skin in the long term, so an ingredient I personally try to avoid as much as possible. Silica (there are two in this) and fragrance are some other ingredients I try to avoid. I found products with alcohol, even just a toner with high amount of alcohol makes my skin get softer, this cream did it, too. But by my experience that effect is a tricky one like “I will make your skin get softer now, but then overall it will get drier because of me.”
While this has a bunch of good ingredients too, in the end I think there are better products out there for the same price or cheaper.

No good. Alcohol denat is the 4th ingredient, and after I put it on my face, my fingertips were really dry. And I could smell the alcohol in the cream. My face looked parched in the morning. It’s green (not sure why they would have to add coloring that’s not good for skin), but the fragrance (aside from the alcohol) is nice….like Vichy Neovadiol Magistral Elixir.

For sure this is the worst product I have ever bought. It smells awful and irritates the skin. Firming effect? No kiiding!

Okay I’m giving this a 4 when really, all it deserves is maybe a 1 or 2. Why? Well I ran out of this stuff and honestly I really miss the smell. It smells so weird and probably bad to some people but for me I love it. It really comforted me and prepped me for bed. The consistency is gel like and kind of water/hydrating like.
Did it firm my skin? No, address sagging ? No. But maybe I’m just too young for this (26). It might work for people who really do have these problems but more severe. I would like to repurchase it, but it is pricey. But then again it’s almost midnight and I really can’t get ready for bed…it’s like something is missing….yeah this cream. Ah. I think I’ll repurchase.

I give Neovadiol night cream a 3 overall because it does firm my skin, although it isn’t great at “erasing” my fine lines. It also makes my face tingle, which worries me. The Neovadiol day cream (SPF 15) made my face burn like hell fire, and my skin isn’t particularly sensitive. I much prefer Vichy Liftactiv CxP night cream for plumping fine lines, but I don’t notice much firming with it.

I got this because I wanted a firming cream, the SA said it was a general anti-aging cream but that wasn’t what I really wanted, I got it anyways since I suppose it is never too early to start preventing skin aging, it really isn’t so bad. I got LiftActiv too because that is supposed to be specifically for firming and lifting, personally I prefer the LiftActiv because it really seems to smooth out skin and, well, LIFT, like the name says. Neovadiol did seem to smooth things out a bit but I didn’t notice very much more of a difference. Then I switched to the LiftActiv and I got quite a bit more lifting. I’d say the Neovadiol is good if what you are looking for is a general anti-aging cream that fights all the different effects of aging such as wrinkles, dullness or dryness, however I don’t have any of those problems yet (fingers crossed!) so it really didn’t do anything much for me. I’ll still use it up with an eye on prevention however.

This burned my skin terribly each time I put it on. I have had that problem with 2 other Vichy products. I have had good results with Vichy Meokine, so I don’t think it is the Vichy mineral water that is so harsh. I would be careful before using any of their products if you have sensitive skin at all. This is also very sticky after you put it on.
