WOWOWOW. After just two uses, my skin is remarkably clearer and smoother. Truly amazing. I have no idea what AnneMarine (below) is talking about. “Retinyl Palmitate” is clearly listed in the ingredients. This is retinol. Learn your ingredients — all the various terms for your ingredients, because everything has another name — and be informed. Or, if the diea of learning makes your head hurt, use the internet. Here, let me help you.
“Retinyl palmitate, or vitamin A palmitate, is the ester of retinol and palmitic acid, with formula C₃₆H₆₀O₂. An alternate spelling, retinol palmitate, which violates the -yl organic chemical naming convention for esters, is also frequently seen.” Wikipedia. Yo.
This has a great list of ingredients. Some may object to isopropyl alcohol, but it is at the end, so the amount is miniscule and most likely evaporates before it even hits your skin. I am so impressed at the lack of propylene and butylene glycol or carbonate — which is ubiquitous in skin care — I was happy to give the trial box a try. So far, no complaints. And a GREAT mission statement and excellent buzz. The Ordinary and No B.S. — YAY! appealing to women’s minds instead of insecurities! What a concept!

No BS? Ha, there’s no retinol to be found in this retinol night cream! At $50 a bottle, it was nothing more than an overpriced moisturizer and my skin knew it. The texture and packaging was nice, but prefer to pay for skincare. So FULL of bs.

I have been using this product for years. I have normal to dry skin and have started menopause. The cream is thick and hydrating and I notice a difference in texture, firmness when I started that is why I changed from Garnier product. The fragrance is strong but my skin is not sensitive.

The strength of vitamin A is 400,000 I.U (63g). I bought the cream purely due to the high content of vitamin A. I have used it consistently and now that I have finished the product; upon reflection I don’t feel it’s made a difference when I compare to before and after using this cream.
The cream is very thick so for someone with oily skin it was horrible to apply and have on. It felt thick and heavy. I wasn’t too happy to use it every night but I had to preservere with it and overtime I got used to it and I would literally use a tiny amount and patt it onto my skin to create a thin layer. Another unfavourable point about the cream is the fragrance, basically; not a fan. It smells of talc powder which I don’t like, that was another feature I had to put up with. The good points about it is, it didn’t irritate my skin and provided sufficient hydration to my skin.
If I had to re-purchase the product it would have to be a lotion or gel because it is too thick for me and also it would have to be fragrance-free. I bought it at TKMaxx, it comes in a plastic tub.
