I went into Mecca and told the sales assistant about my main skin concern which is some mild redness and broken capillaries on my cheeks, I’m not sure if it’s bad enough to be considered rosacea though. She recommended this product and tested it on my face. I had never tried Darphin products before because they’re a bit out of my price range, but I was drawn to them because of their packaging, the natural ingredients and the fact they’re a French company; the French know their skincare. After I went home I looked in the mirror and my skin looked airbrushed! I ended up buying it online as soon as I had the money. I find this very effective for reducing redness, and it smells like a dream. This serum smells seriously beautiful, it’s heavenly. After applying it every night, my skin just looks so clear and less blotchy, my friend even complimented on my skin. I use this under the Darphin Intral Redness Relief Recovery Balm before I go to bed and I just purchased the Recovery Cream to wear during the day as it has a green tint to actually camouflage redness and blotchiness. The only problem is the price… for $97, 50ml is definitely not going to last a long time, and I will probably go through this quickly… but if I can afford it, I will continue to keep it as part of my skin care routine.

More like an oil than a serum. Disappointingly this product seems to be aggravating my rosacea rather than soothing it, as advertised. It’s a shame as I have read lots of good reviews, so it obviously works well for some people. I will revert to la Roche Posay Rosaliac.

I got this serum in a set with the intral cream, and of the two this is the one that I felt made the difference. It’s a light pink, softly scented serum with not a lot of silicone slip but felt just thicker that water to apply on the skin. If I used it without the lotion, I felt like I got the same results. I suffer from rosacea and typically have pustules (some red/some not) and a general reddish tinge to my cheeks. I would say my redness is slightly lessened and the pustules looked less pronounced. The pump applicator and my entire experience using it was great.
I was previously using Prosacea and La Roche Posay Rosaliac serum. This serum was better than both of the two listed above and consistently soothed better especially after flareups. Of note, if I was triggered into a reaction by extreme sun/heat/wind/drinking – I didn’t notice the reaction was any less severe than usual. What I noticed was that it would take ~3-7 days to resettle my skin instead of the average 1-2 weeks.
Because of the cost in Canada, I am not sure I will repurchase a third time. It definitely wasn’t a miracle serum for me but a pretty solid day to day-er. Since I ran out, I’ve switched to a different cheaper serum that I will review after a few more months.
