I purchased this product hoping to lighten up some acne scars on my face which is really fair with slight yellow understones. Unfortunately, it really did not help those spots fade. I was trying this product as it did not contain hydroquinone and I try to stay away from that these days. Perhaps I should’ve tried the Fade Gel instead? In the end, maybe it does serve as an acne gel as the other reviews suggest? If anything, Peter Thomas Roth’s AHA/BHA Acne Clearing Gel was doing more to lighten the scars than this particular product. At $50 for 0.5oz, the DDF lightener is a rip off.

I love this product after one month i saw results!! Its good for discoloring of the face, my discoloring is not due to age because i am only in my 20s so i don’t know how it works with older people but if you have discoloring of the face due to genetics or sun this works!

I’ve waited several weeks to place this review. I went to Sephora looking for a simple night time treatment. I had been using an 8 – 12% AHA cream every night for nearly three years, but I really wanted to try something new. I have very normal skin, and I have been looking for what seems years for a gel treatment as opposed to a cream. Unfortunately, many of these light gel formulas contained alcohol – a big no-no for me. Anyhow, I told the SA my concerns (lightening, brightening, cell turnover…) and she showed this to me. Well, I don’t know if it has lightened, but my skin looks great – clear and bright – no irritation. I will continue using this until something miraculous shows up. Probably won’t take away dark spots, but it does contain AHA which will help cell turnover and brighten up the skin.
