EDIT: I stand corrected–it’s $20! This is the most natural-looking tanning product out there and in intend to stockpile. Seriously.
Where has this been all my life? It’s complete and utter HG material. This non-DHA-based self tanner doesn’t render me Trump orange, but rather “files the edge off” my winter pallor and minimizes the appearance of dark patches so that I can get away with using less base product. For the record, I’d use it in the summer, too (might step it up to twice a day). I apply this in the evening on a clean face after my glycolic acid and/or Retin-A (I alternate these) and before my rosehip oil and night cream. The smell is curious but inoffensive. $30 is on the pricier side of the Deciem spectrum, but is still manageable, to my mind.

I really, really rate this product. I am not into fake tan because I have that skin that seems to go Big Bird yellow (strangers have suggested that I get my liver enzymes checked) and the smell seems to get worse over two days, not better. I use half a squirt of this at night mixed in with my serum and it does my face, neck, chest and lower arms, and it makes me look healthy. If I am on holidays, or wish to give the impression that I have been sun-kissed, I use it in the morning as well. I buy it when it is on sale and stock up. I have been using this product for years, have tried others, but keep coming back to this as I find the colour, texture and smell superior.

When I use this I get the same orange-ish color just like a normal self tanner and it is NOT nice. My pores look larger because they also turn orange 😀

I have very pale skin and since using this I swear much fewer people have asked me if I was sick or told me to go outside and get some sun. It gives a very subtle tan, has never gone patchy on me and a little goes a long way. I have repurchased this and recommended it to friends in the past.

This product gives you such a lovely, natural glow. I tend to put in on PM to let it sink in and after washing AM, it looks great. I’ve used a lot of face tanners in the past and this is THE best one as there’s not a trace of orangey fakeness. The smell however, is very much like a tanner so I wouldn’t use it during the day because of that.

This stuff is awesome! Makes my skin literally glow! I love sunless tanning mousse but not for my face, I’ve always had slightly problematic skin, this stuff Is perfect for my face though. Love and would definitely repurchase – I just apply before bed with or without moisturizer

I have been using this for some time and just thought to actually write a review.

Best facial self-tanner I’ve ever used, and I’ve used quite a few! The Clarins ones have always made my skin look quite patchy and orange, this one does make my face slightly more yellow than if I were to have naturally tanned on my face, but if I just use less and/or mix it in with another serum or moisturizer its fine.
It has a really thin consistency, around the consistency of water. It smells just like all other fake tanning products to me despite it being DHA free, and the smell is quite strong. I personally only use this at night so it is bearable for me because I’m not smelling it on my face all day as the smell washes away the next morning when I wash my face.
I have really pale skin, so I can’t use this every night or I’ll turn way too tan, again with that yellow hue that doesn’t fit my naturally tanned complexion. Because of this I can’t confidently speak to its actual skincare benefits and making you “glow” besides the obvious skin tint..I can’t actually use this regularly enough to see any changes in my skin health.
I use retina and a lot of AHAs, BHAs and sunscreen on my face daily, so my face is always super pale compared to my body, especially in summer, and this is honestly a perfect product for you if you have that problem.
Overall I highly recommend for its fake tanning benefits!

I love the glow it gives. I have a tanned to darker skin tone and I am not sure this is a self tanner because it has not changed my skin tone per se. I use it under my make up and sometimes without so it works beautifully. I am using a few products in Hylamide range and also the 3 White RX products. I am about to start NIOD and The Ordinary. I think DECIEM has the most potential at the moment.

I saw this on clearance at CVS and figured “why not??”. Also it has the magical word that is my ultimate achilles heel for skincare and cosmetics “glow”. I had stumbled across reviews on this months before so I knew that it was a DHA-free alternative to sunless tanning. I’m someone who just looks better with some warmth to my face and wear a very subtle bronzer daily so I figured this would work for me. I’ll also add that I have loved most of the products from Hylamide. I do like this and ended up going back and getting another bottle since it was on clearance. It’s pretty subtle but does give the warmth I was seeking. Since most of my other skincare products I’m using at the moment is also from Hylamide I didn’t fear it reacting with anything else I was using. (I’m currently also using the Hylamide SubQ serum, SubQ eyes, C25, and HA blur.) For me, the cons are two things – one, when I clean my face in the morning with a micellar water some color comes off which for me is disconcerting because it makes me feel like I went to sleep without taking my makeup off, and the second is the smell. In the first few days of use, I could smell a sweet, almost caramelly and sickly smell which I knew must be coming from this product. I haven’t noticed it recently so maybe you get used to it? Or maybe I was touching my face a lot on the days I smelled it? Anyway, didn’t really like smelling my face!
Edit: I’ve taken another lippie off, I took a break off this product and then restarted and the smell got to me again. I hate smelling myself, and I really hope that no-one else can smell my face! It’s not that it’s an awful odor I just hate the smelling the caramelly sickly smell on me. I wish this didn’t have a smell! I still love you Hylamide!
