This felt really good on my hands when I tried it in the store. It was not greasy and was absorbed pretty quickly, and made my skin smooth.
HOWEVER, I had a reaction immediately when I put it on my face! My skin turned red and was burning. It also caused immediate small red bumps. If you have sensitive skin–beware !I can’t discuss specific ingredients, but I did imagine that my skin would burn down if I turned on my voice.
DIRECTIONS:
Water your face as you’d expect. Let the lumps sit on top of your face for 1 hour. To remove the sunscreen off the face, place a finger down near the base of the tongue and hold it down for 10 minutes. Apply it to your face again each hour. Apply the lumps from the tongue to the lumps before parting your lips. Turn your face up, put on your necklace, and you’re done!
The “Have a Great Day!” sticker should look nice on your skin. Be sure to send me your idea below. It’s a simple and inexpensive way to add a cool element to your face. No sugar.

I have to give a major shout out to this little gem. I like to keep my skin care routine very simple and I’ve pared it down to just a few basic staples — I use a moisturizer with sunscreen in it, and a little Argan oil around my eyes each morning. At night, before going to bed, I slather on Argan oil all over. Using those two products is enough for me, except in the Winter. I’m 41 with moderately dry, very sensitive skin and every Winter (starting right after Christmas when it truly gets cold), I get dry patches that my foundation clings to. It isn’t pretty. I’ve experimented with everything from Aquaphor to luxury skin care and nothing really works for me except this twelve dollar serum from Elf.
In the thick of the coldest months, I’d apply my regular moisturizer, then apply this serum. It didn’t feel overly thick, and didn’t leave my skin tacky if I waited a moment or so. Honestly I’m not sure how or why this product worked so well, but it did. I’ve worked at Sephora and Ulta and been lucky enough to try all kind of skin care products, and this serum beat them all when it came to defeating the Winter grossness. The key difference for me, between this product and Aquaphor, Lumene and others was that with everything I tried, the dry patches would be diminished before I applied makeup, so I was happy and I believed the products were working. However, when I used this serum, I wasn’t waking up to any dry patches — the issue was completely GONE, all Winter. Heck yes, I was stunned because this has been an issue of mine for a decade. This serum actually resolved my dry skin issues to the extent that I was able to wear a mineral foundation even in the coldest months which is normally a huge no-go for me.
You don’t get much product, for twelve dollars, but my bottle lasted all Winter for me just using it in the morning. If you use it morning and night, you may need two bottles each Winter. For me, twelve to twenty-four dollars per Winter is a bargain.
It’s definitely thicker than you’d think a serum would be — it kind of feels like you’re just putting another moisturizer on but it isn’t overly thick or cumbersome. Makeup applies *beautifully* over this product as long as you wait two or three minutes in between.
I don’t have this product right now because I don’t need it but I’ll definitely be getting a bottle once the cooler weather arrives (I am so ready for Fall candles, scarves and boots!). Your mileage may vary of course, but I say definitely give it a try if you get really dry skin and dry patches. Regardless of which moisturizer I used, this little gem kept my skin smooth, soft and supple all Winter and actually made a difference. Love, love, love!

I like this quite a bit. I have oily skin and it’s been suggested that serum type moisturizers are beneficial for my skin type. This is a little thicker than what you would typically think of as a serum. Makes muy skin feel moisturized but not greasy. My only gripe is that you really don’t get much product in the packaging although the bottle seems like there will be a decent amount. For $12 I think they could give more product.

I love this stuff.
I have an Asian skincare routine and have recently added E.L.F products to it. This is one of the layers I use for hydrating my skin and it works well.
I also highly suggest, for those with dehydrated or dry skin, to use this as a makeup primer. It helps your makeup glide on over it and not be nearly as cakey as it is without this serum.
I will use this for as long as they make it.

i love this serum. ive added this to my routine two weeks ago and i definitely see a difference . i can tell this serum will last me longer and is cheaper than others ive tried in the past. will absolutely be repurchasing as long as the formulation dosent change.

I have super greasy, congested skin with cystic acne & redness. It’s also really sensitive. I was put on Retin A Micro at night to help with my acne. While it has helped balance out my oil it has left me a little sensitive & dry. I decided to add this in seeing as it doesn’t have any active ingredients that could upset my skin. Since it’s geared toward hydration I hoped it would help balance out my skin from the Retin A Micro but not cause my easily congested skin to be more clogged. This is a very light weight serum that after just a few minutes sinks in almost invisibly, making my skin so smooth without any redness. My night cream goes on top so smoothly & this really feels like it’s helping to further prevent my skin from getting chapped. If you have super dry skin I would say this may not feel nourishing enough but for oily, sensitive skined people who just need to balance out their skin this is perfect. For the low price & the cute packaging you can’t go wrong.

When I bought this, my skin was in serious distress. I had overdone it on retinoids and it was red, dry, flaky and incredibly irritated at the slightest thing. Even my normal moisturizer was too much for it to tolerate. This serum turned all that around. It is very soothing and my skin just drank it up. It helps the skin hold onto moisture and fights back redness. It’s going to be a permanent part of my fall/winter skincare routine even now that my skin has calmed down again and can tolerate my other products.

The description of this intrigued me so I bought it and although its nice and I don’t dislike it, it’s nothing special and certainly not a must have product for me. This is supposed to “compliment my daily hydrator” but I haven’t noticed any major wow changes in my skin. Its similar in consistency and smell to Magic White Ice, but slightly more hydrating and soaks into skin better. I’ve used this with my hydrator, or mixed with AM Acne lotion and again just average. There are better Arcona products to try before this one.

This serum has several hydrating and moisturizing ingredients. It is very light liquid that spreads easily. I used a full bottle and found it moisturizing but nothing more. I wanted a more rounded anti-aging serum so I used other products from the Arcona line.

I didn’t think much of this when I first started using this. It was so light that I didn’t think it was doing much for my skin. But not wanting to waste it, I continued using it… After close to 3-4 weeks of regular use, I started to see & feel the changes in my skin. My skin is no longer tight in the middle of the day from dryness and my makeup goes on so much for smoothly without dry patches. Arcona did state on its packaging that the effects can be seen over time with continued use and I must say its true!

This is super smoothing and hydrating. This has reduced my skin tightness, And gotten rid of some roughness I have been experiencing from the cleanser I have been using. This would be good under any moisturizer for pretty much any skin type. I have oily acne prone skin and this has not caused any problems for me. I think this would be especially good for those experiencing negative side effects from acne medication.

Best hydrating serum I have used. The high concentration of sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid) as opposed to glycerin makes it work in low humidity – perfect for winter. It takes that dull, tight look my skin can get in the winter away. It reduces fine dehydration lines under my eyes a lot. My skin feels soothed, and looks hydrated and plump. <3 it!

First impression: It smells great. the serum is liquidy and comes out easily. be gentle on the pump or you will get too much product out. it feels light and absorbs right in, won’t interfere with further products. I bought it to use in the am. It’s perfectly fine for pm as well. I will report back. Right now I am very excited.
Update 11/15: it goes up one more lippie in my book! My skin loves this serum. I have been rotating a few different serums and this one is my favorite. it is just right for my normal to dry skin- not too light and not too heavy. My moisturizer works much better over this serum and foudation/powder held up fresh all day.
Update 2/18: Still loving it. The pump is splashy so I hold it to my face and apply directly. No more wasted product on the mirror or sink. 🙂 This is a great everyday serum that I wish it came in a bigger sized bottle so it last longer. I got so excited when I saw that nordstrom.com sells a 4Oz bottle…but I think they make a mistake.

Finally, a moisturizer that isn’t full of silicones. My acne-prone face is thankful. This serum is heavy on humectants (glycerin, sodium hyaluronate, and sodium polyacrylate) along with soothing aloe vera. So it’s quite lightweight and doesn’t clog my pores. As with all humectant-based moisturizers, it works best applied to damp skin rather than dry skin. It’s my favorite moisturizer during warm-weather months when my skin is more oily, and immediately after facials and chemical peels. I’m also happy that it comes in a hygienic pump bottle. The price is rather steep at almost $80/1 oz., but it’s the real deal.

I have very dehydrated and acne-prone skin, therefore I have been painstakingly looking for a hydrating serum that will not cause any built-up or clogged pores. I came across this serum and brand when I saw their promo with Nordstrom. This is so great and works perfectly beyond my expectation. Living in SoCal weather is hostile to my skin and after using it, I saw my face more pumped, moisturized and softer. Highly recommend it to anyone that has the same concern like me. I will try more product of Thalgo and come back for more updates.

I ordered this from ulta.com a few days ago. I got it yesterday and used it last night. Maybe I should give it more time, but i’m not impressed and am returning it today. My skin fluctuates between oily and dry. Lately it’s been dry, not overly dry, but I wanted to add some extra moisture. Especially since the heat has been way up in my house and I ordered a new product that I think may dry my skin some. Anyways last night I washed my face, applied my anti acne product w/ benzyol peroxide, applied this serum and then my olay night cream. This felt a little thicker than a thin serum consistency, but definitely not think cream/moisturizer feel. It comes in a pump and I accidentally pumped 2 times instead of just one. I added this all over my face and my neck. I did feel like it soaked in pretty quickly on the face but not my neck. When I woke up in the middle of the night, I looked in the mirror and felt like my pores looked bigger than usual and there was a weird film on my face. Upon waking up, my skin felt about the same as it does when I use just my olay night cream. I wasn’t expecting any miracles but if I feel the same as usual, than I’d rather just return this and get my $12 back. Maybe for really dry skin this would be a good added step with a regular moisturizer but I don’t have any dry patches or anything.

I hate to bum on this product, but I tried to use it around my eyes and my skin could not tolerate it for some reason. It made me very itchy and irritated. I have the hardest time using anything around my eye area though! I am using the rest of the bottle on my neck and I have no problem with it there, but I can’t really tell if it is doing anything one way or another. Won’t buy it again.

I hate to be the lone dissenter here, but this serum did nothing for me. My skin is normally on the dry side and gets worse in cold weather. I saw the reviews and thought this might be a winner for me. It’s a lovely serum–not greasy or slick or plastic-y feeling, and it has a light honey smell that is not at all offensive and dissipates quickly. It’s also reasonably priced ($36/1 oz, and a little goes a long way). However, I saw no change at all in the moisture level of my skin, immediate or cumulative, whether used alone or under another moisturizer. Luckily I bought it from a site that takes returns, so it’s going back.

I’ve been searching for a product that is everything i wanted and I finally found it! I realized that traditional moisturizers were much to heavy for my oily, congested skin, so i decided to switch to a gel formulation since my skin did still need hydration as well as something for my MMU to stick to. I tried a lot of products looking for something very natural. I thought i could get away with using aloe vera, but i found that it didn’t hydrate well enough and my makeup just wouldn’t stick to it. I tried a couple other options, but none of them worked…they were all to light or too heavy and sticky. This one is perfect! My skin is baby soft when i use it, no irritation whatsoever, looks beautiful under MMU and is as natural as they come. It should be used within 6 months (this is because it isn’t filled with nasty chemical preservatives) but in a 1 oz volume I think most people would have no problem using it up in that amount of time. I am very happy and will continue to repurchace.
