This was weird.
It helped my itchiness and dryness, but made my redness much worse it that makes sense.
Was extremely soothing and moisturizing, but as I kept using it day and night, my face became very red.
I also began experiencing mini breakouts all over my face.
I believe the redness and breakouts are coming from over-exfoliation.
This contains exfoliating factors and retinol, so it is very strong. I would only recommend this for a 2-3x per week usage.

I have mixed feelings about this product. I was looking for a hydration booster only but discovered later this has retinol in it too. I suspect it’s only a tiny amount but wanted it for day and I am already using a retinol at night so together it was too much for my quite sensitive skin and I had some redness and a little mass of broken capillaries on my cheek as a result. Obviously it’s the mix of products that caused it not this one specifically, but I was just looking for hydration so not for me.
I kind of wish companies wouldn’t put little bits of retinol in everything, you almost have to be a chemist to work out which serums/creams you can use together!

Update 6/8/2016: This is officially my holy grail of serums. It is worth its price tag. I buy 2 at a time so that I am never without it. I must be on my 9th bottle by now. It is the only thing that can give me moisture without ever breaking me out.
I will say this – In order to perfectly hydrate my skin, I would have to find a cream to put over this serum and lock everything in. Alas, I still can’t find lotions/creams/oils that won’t break me out, or that work under makeup/sunscreen. So while this stuff does an amazing job on its own, and it is still the only thing saving me from being a dehydrated mess, I would recommend locking it into your skin with a lotion/cream/oil if you have one that works for you. Emu oil sometimes works for me, but it definitely does not work during the day under my makeup, which is when I really need the help from some kind of occlusive (emu ends up making me look like a greasier mess than I already am, even if I use just the tiniest bit). If anyone out there reads this review and has a rec for a cream/lotion that provides good lipids but doesn’t break you out, please send me a message!
Original review:
This stuff is saving my skin. For the life of me, I can’t find a lotion or oil that won’t clog my pores (for reference, I have oily skin that gets easily dehydrated). Enter this stuff. My face feels well hydrated when I apply it while skin is still a tiny bit damp. I usually take a whole tube full and press it into my face, including my eye area. If my skin doesn’t look completely hydrated after that, I press one more tube full. This stuff is perfection. No clogged pores!

I purchased this product based on three MUA reviews and the stellar review from Beautipedia. I am so disappointed. First off, this is in no way “moisturizing” or hydrating for my mature aging skin, but rather seems to be a treatment packed with antioxidants. I used for several nights under my SkinMedica Rejuvenating Moisturizer. Using this “booster” was simply an added step (and expense) to my regular skin care routine and did nothing to improve my facial appearance.
Might be good for younger skin that is oily or slightly dry. Shame on me, I’m going to pay more attention to reviewer age when reading these reviews. Another product designed for those in their 30’s – 40’s. Its a no go for me and I’ll be returning.

Oh yes! I LOVE the hydration one! Just love it!!!! At first I put it on and it felt weird, like a thin shiny film on my skin, it was absorbed in 0 millisecond, but after, I put on a face cream that I know doesn’t moisturize my skin well ( i just want to use it up) and the whole texture of my skin changed: moisturized for hours, I couldn’t believe it, I couldn’t believe how the cream blended in and my skin felt so soft (for reference: the cream is by Korres the quercetin and oak).
The green bottle for pores and breakouts etc., is pretty good too! I used it a couple of times on a breakout, and the little monster dried out and redness was gone.
I still have to incorporate the radiance one into my routine (not sure if i should use at night or in the morning), but I”ll update the review 🙂
Oh, the price is good: it’s half the size of the regular size but it costs CA$70 whereas each one costs 84$ full size i think.

I purchased this serum in November 2014 on the advice from beautypedia.com and I am in LOVE. This is a medium weight serum that is designed to be combined with moisturizer. I have used it in conjunction with several moisturizers (Paula’s Choice, Kiehls, and Dermalogica) and it mixes very well with others to thin them down. I have also worn it alone both AM and PM. it has a lovely feel on the skin and unlike a lot of other serums provides a very nice level of moisture on my dry winter Midwest skin. It also always brightens and tones my skin and I’m always impressed as to how nice it looks after use. There is no noticable smell to the product and has a silky texture when used alone. It’s wonderful! It is pricey but I think you get a lot of quality ingredients for what you pay for. It is in a dropper bottle and though its shaded glass I still store it protected from light in the closet. It would be nice to have it darker glass. This may very well become a staple in my skin care!
