I bought this last summer in Vienna after a facial at a BR salon and after hearing so many people rave about this company`s products. It was really expensive for a tiny little bottle, and I was inwardly groaning, thinking of how quickly I would go through it. However, I found this not to be the case: it is a fragrance-free targeted serum, and you only need a few milliliters applied strategically to parts of your face. My second period of doubt and groaning began after reading reviews on here, as it seemed most customers were unimpressed. However, for me and my target this actually works. I have very thin skin, especially under the eyes. At 43, I have no wrinkles or fine lines, except under my eyes. I only use the serum there, and again, I`ve been popping it on for about 6 weeks now, every night (barely making a dent in the product), and with no hope that it would work. And no, it won`t erase fine lines, but you know what? My under eye area does look smoother and my concealer applies way better than before using this. So I am satisfied, and if the results continue or if I see any additional improvement, I will update. I am on the fence about repurchasing. I clicked Yes, because if I cannot find anything better, I will stick with this, and as far as the price, considering how long this lasts, and that it seems to improve my skin, it is not so bad. I am also considering if I should save my money and actually invest in cosmetic procedures for my eyes, so like I said, I am not entirely sure what would be better at this point in time.

UPDATE 01/01/19:
I am upgrading my rating now that I’m on my next bottle of this serum. It still earns high marks for texture and absorption (as do most BR quintessential serums) and I still find a little goes a long way, especially when used selectively (I am now using it around the mouth and eyes and on the forehead). I do find dark lipsticks wear cleaner after having used this for over six months; I first noticed this around the three month mark. I can’t say it is the most effective for pores in the shorter term. (For that, I would suggest trying P50 and Collagene Natif.) I am adjusting my price rating as the cost of these serums has really set in, mostly in relation to the lack of research (or publicized research) surrounding their efficacy and the questionable penetrability of some of the ingredients. I’ve also found EP to change odor earlier than its six-month expiry date (in which I personally have difficulty emptying even the 1/3 sized product) and occasionally become frustrated with the serums’ squeeze-top dropper, as it makes it impossible to block oxygen flow in any meaningful way while handling one palm full of liquid.

I will likely update this with time. I’m giving this serum three stars based on its pleasant user experience. Unlike many BR products, there is little to no scent. It is extremely thin and requires minimal absorption time (recommended is 1min). Because of its texture, a little goes a long way—I like to use a drop each on each side of my nose (for pores), for each laugh line, and around my lips, plus a few for my neck and jaw, if I feel like it. The instructions say to use 1ml, but there’s no need, especially as many BR serums work fine as targeted treatments. Layering with this is a breeze. I have noticed my pores looking less distended, though I will have to wait until I run out of the serum to see if the problem returns. (Starting multiple products at once does make attributing results confusing.) The average rating, despite overall happiness with experience, is due to concerns re: effectiveness (topical collagen and elastin research is generally not promising). Recommend buying in 8ml size if not applying to entire face to avoid spoilage, especially due to animal bio-products.

The purpose of this serum was to ‘smooth the epidermis’.
To be honest I forgot I had this serum and have not used it a lot. Thats a bad sign because if something is really good I will remember to use it.
I found that this serum was very ‘meh/just ok/non remarkable’. In terms of epidemis smoothing, well I think that P50 and retinols have been much more effective.
I can only say that I got an 8ml size and I have a lot left. Incidentally By 8ml of a BR serum will in general go a very long way, don’t be fooled.
I would not particularly recommend this product to someone who has skin which is really rough tough and bumpy. I get the feeling this might be better for someone who has thinner/fine skin.
Good luck!
