I must begin this post by saying, though I actively search this site for unbiased reviews-I selfishly have never contributed a review myself; until now. So pleased with this product and knowing that in my humble opinion they weren’t getting the press/reviews/exposure they so deserve that I felt compelled to. Ok, so a little back story. I have very fair skin and blond hair/green eyes. I’ve worked in the beauty and health and wellness industry and aside from that just kind of have a general interest on what’s “trendy” or the “buzzed about product.” I tend to order quite a bit of samples as I have VERY sensitive skin, am also quite sensitive to scents and the like and just a general rule of thumb really think trying a product before purchasing makes sense especially when some of the latest and greatest skin care products come with a quite hefty price tag. This year has been a particularly stressful year for me and my skin has really been showing the signs. I have some white discolouration around my mouth from what the dermatologist referred to as just “natural rosacea flare-ups” and my general “skin tone”. A friend of mine always referenced using rose hip oil and I’ve always been a fan, but never found one I loved. Tried the Triology, Pai, etc….but didn’t fall madly deeply with any;). So this summer on a quest I purchased A LOT of the big name samples (and before you think maybe I don’t have enough product to really give an honest or fair opinion, let me just say I buy enough samples to REALLY try them over a pretty long period) so I think they are quite good estimations of the products capabilities. Now, this is not to name shame and I’m sure these work brands work for many of you, it’s just to give you a gist of some of what I’ve tried… So just for a reference-Barbara Sturm-her glow drops, a calming serum, moisturiser-quite a bit. Fave of the lot was her “face cream rich” but not for “me” because of the price tag it carries. I love an oil/serum/anything all-natural or anything I’ve seen pop up seemingly everywhere, so tried Vitner’s Daughter-couldn’t stand overwhelming smell and didn’t think it did anything for skin. So this just continued….until finally I found a review on here for the Divine Herbal Facial Serum. Though they didn’t have samples, considering the price tag was quite small compared to some of the other brands I just dove off the deep-end and purchased a bottle on ebay. It came much more quickly than expected(ships from UK.) Initially response, like others on here thought maybe the pump gives out too much and again my skin is so sensitive I might have felt a little stinging around eyes (but on first time you learn and next application just kept away from my eye area a bit) but the NEXT day after my first night’s ONE application I thought holy balls. Now, full disclosure it was a HOT summer here in NY and I burn easily so I did not use everyday because I think that would have been “too much” for my tissue paper skin-so used more on a couple days a week sort of “treatment” schedule; just at night. But, wow it has been SOOOOO long since I used a product and after one application woke up the next day to visibly different skin. My texture felt much more refined, tightened and bright. You could tell this blend really works as a natural almost I’d say alternative to a traditional retinol. It goes on a bit oily but definitely wears quite dry, to the point of if it was winter I might even layer with a cream after applying this serum (if I could find a rich cream I liked;) But, honestly this serum IS THE MIRACLE PRODUCT so many other brands with bigger publicity and larger price tags claim to be. I think it would be a genius true “hero product” if you had an even thicker skin or oilier skin so thus you could use even more often (just wear sunscreen.) And honestly is a hero product for me, even with sensitive skin (and I’ll probably start to use more often when not so hot ie fear of sun:) and on sun note- I also had a few moles removed a while back so I use this serum as well to help fade marks…I put it in my palms and carefully apply on my face (avoiding eye areas) then hitting neck and décolletage and finish by putting the last bit left in my hands on the mole removal marks and top of hands(I think this is an over-looked ageing area;). (Basically, a little goes a long way;) I still haven’t finished first bottle ordered a couple months ago that both my Mom and I have been using at very least a couple to few times a week give or take (both of us) and today ordered two more in fear of first bottle eventually running out. But let me just say and yes, I know that was SUPER long-winded (apologies) but, If you want to try an “all-natural” product that actually does what it claims; then this is the serum for you! ONE application and the next day noticeably different skin. It’s all-natural, a great price tag and truly just an honestly wonderful skincare product… will use and have in my kit forever. Honestly, if you are on the fence give it a try-I think this serum could truly be a game-changer for many with all sorts of different skin types/concerns etc!

This facial serum works amazing. It does really fades pigmentation. The oil is very light and you don’t need any moisturizer after. Will continue using it.

I suffered with awful melasma pigmentation patch on my cheeks and spread to temples and top of nose after having children last year. This has made it much lighter <90 % almost cant see melasma now. Using factor 50 sunblock by neutrogena too every morning. Got 2 bottles of facial serum to save on shipping cost and it lasted 8 months and still some product left so good value. Yoi really only do need 1 drop no more. No problems with pump dispenser others mentioned. Will recomend for anyone who have pigmentation problems.

I used to use the hair oil by this company many years ago and had all but forgotten about it until recently. Now I noticed they have lots more products including eyelash & brow serum etc. Oh and this product >
So in my recent Divine herbal haul this was the 1st product I used. How i’m using it: every night just using a single drop on my face and neck. Its mega concentrated so no need for much. Just sweeping it across face and let it sink in. Like previous reviewer I am not very keen on the pump as too much is released if you press down so what I find is if you put the pump against your finger tightly and then press voila you will get exactly 1 drop. I used this for some light marks left from threading on upper cheeks and they have faded almost to zero. Has also made my skin look healthier and brighter.

Recently I’ve been on the hunt for something ‘natural’ to help get rid of my slight pigmentation issues (cheeks & under eyes) and uneven skin tone around my mouth. It might be my part-Hispanic background but my skin seems to be prone to the odd discoloration (yaay!). Not to mention Florida’s skin-damagingly high UV index.
Well already a fan of this brand’s Hair Oil and a recent convert to their shampoo (sorry Aveda!!), I was pretty surprized to see a product for facial pigment issues in their line-up this summer. Wasn’t too sure just what to expect but gave it a shot anyway..
So does it work?
Well put it this way, I’ve been lazy when it comes to doing reviews lately (last one was in April this year) but I seriously had to do log back in to do a write-up for this.
In just over a month the turnaround in my skin has been…WOW! The eye area is 50% better, pigment patches almost entirely gone and uneven area pretty much faded too. Add to that a glowing complexion and the icing on the cake: no chemicals in it at all and I am truly hooked! Mine’s lasted me a while as I’m using 2 drops a night, sometimes just 1.
My only slight dislike is the pump dispenser – hence the lippies knocked off for that, I have to be real careful to press lightly or too much comes out and gets wasted. But other than that I cannot praise this serum enough. Smells divine, sinks straight in, doesn’t cost the earth and works amazingly well.
I think this is without a doubt the best face product I’ve ever used! HG.

3 years on I’m still using this and the results are just as amazing. Even the fine lines I had on my forehead and eye area (possibly due to sun exposure) have reduced significantly almost to the point I can no longer notice them. I’ve read that this serum works like Retinol, but a natural version so would make sense how it has an anti-ageing effect.
