One out of two products that actually work on my adult cystic acne. Uncomfortable to apply but took control of the excess oil production and Acne I experienced after a change of medication. I slightly panicked at the excess oil production and had at one point seven large abscesses on my chin. The relief this product gave was much welcomed.

I’m shocked at the bad reviews! This has been a go-to for me for YEARS. The only negative is the fairly new bottle (honestly its about 8 years since they switched). The old packaging was a dropper-type bottle with a screw-on cap. This one has a dropper type without the spout. The cap is twist off and I am hesitant to carry it with me for that reason.
I like carrying this with me because I reapply every few hours or so (yes, I still break out!) and my acne is usually gone in a couple of days. The active ingredient is 1% Salicylic Acid.

I had a sample of this and only used it twice but that was enough for me. Both times, it irritated the area I put it on and cause the acne to become more inflamed and larger.

I’m surprised this has such bad reviews. This is HG for me and I’ve replaced it 3 times. Love it for spot acne treatment. Really helps get rid of pimples. Retails for $26 for 1oz.

I like this even though the alcohol it smells so strong it stings my eyes. It does clear the skin, but if you apply it underneath foundation it creates a dry patch and it doesn’t look very nice. I won’t buy this again as it’s too expensive for what it does. I must say I don’t have acne, never had, but I ocasionally get spots.

This is ridiculously ineffective. A complete waste of money.

I have been struggling with acne around my jawline for the past several months and have been experimenting with different treatments when I came across this one. When I first used it, I thought it would be great – it cleared my acne for the first two days completely. After that, my skin went back to the way it was. I went through the whole bottle to see if it was something that would take time to have an effect, but no, there was no change. On top of that, this is a very off-putting product. The smell is extremely strong and it dries within seconds, so it needs to be applied immediately after it comes out of the bottle. It also makes the skin feel very tight. The only thing that surprised me about it is that I expected it to make my skin dry and flaky given the intense smell of alcohol and how quickly it dries, but it did not. Overall, this had absolutely no effect on my skin at all.

I’m glad I didn’t actually buy this product and used some large samples instead (the samples lasted three weeks). Initially, I was interested in this as an alternative to my long-standing (but recently discontinued) favorite acne treatment, Murad Acne Exfoliating Gel. My skin is combination/oily, prone to hormonal breakouts. I found this gel incredibly drying; it looks, feels, and smells like hand sanitizer, evaporating very quickly (so apply it as fast as you can). This dried out my skin and made it feel tight, and I didn’t see any improvement in existing whiteheads, though no new ones erupted. I think this would work best for someone with very oily skin. I won’t purchase this.

My first time purchasing this product, first thing i noticed was the strong Alcohol smell! It is just so strong, its like i rubbing vodka on mu skin. Anyways apart from that i would say it is working somewhat at this time, i have really stubborn blemishes on my forehead and they seem to be going away! I have really oily skin so it does not dry my skin out! But i do however use the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel after i wash it off! Also when applying it does give you a filmy look to your skin, it reads apply a small layer, but it is hard because it dries up quick so you end up using a thick layer. Good product as for my blemishes, yet it is very strong on skin & burns.

This has replaced Clinique’s old spot healing gel which was pretty good, I used it for years. Not sure what changed in the formula, the active ingredient is the same, but this is not as good as before. The texture reminds me of superglue, gunks up around the bottle tip and plugs the opening. The smell is a very strong alcohol type smell, application burns and it was completely ineffective on the small occasional breakouts I get. Another difference I noticed is that the old product dried clear and you could put makeup on over it, this gets really sticky on the skin.
