I don’t have sensitive skin by any means, but this eye cream made my eyes sting. I’m not sure what caused the stinging. There’s absolutely no fragrance, and it didn’t affect the skin around my eyes- just my eyes themselves, which got stingy and watery. Not cool. I see that others have had the same problem. I bought this because while I’m pretty good about skincare, I just can’t get into eye cream. I usually just use my regular moisturizer (and I’ve never had problems with stinging). Needless to say, this has not sold me on eye creams.

I love that it moisturizes well, what I do not like it is that is stings. At first I thought it was a waste of money because I did not felt that is was moisturizing then after an advise from a friend to pat the cream I started to feel the moisture. Yet with that said even if was rub I always felt some stinging. It does not last long the feeling unless you sweat, definitely not good for oily skin. Maybe for winter yet still am on the fence because it stings.

This eye cream surprised me and actually moisturized my eye area and helped me to avoid any crepiness in that area. The texture is creamier without being too thick. I did not feel that this cream was greasy or oily. Although I was happy with the cream’s application, I do feel that it is too expensive for what it is, since I do not believe that this depuffs or changes the appearance of undereye bags.

This is one of the best eye creams I have tried. I love that it moisturizes well, does not settle in fine lines, and brightens, as well.
Ingredient benefits:
– African red tea Strengthens skin, slows aging, calms and soothes the skin
– Vitamin C Stimulates collagen production with an antioxidant-rich 10% vitamin C complex
– Jojoba oil Retexturizes, soothes lines and helps maintain resiliency
– Sodium Hyaluronate Seals in moisture to the skin
– Turmeric root Nourishes and repairs the skin
– Zinc, copper and manganese gluconate Calms, soothes and promotes collagen production
– Algisium C Improves collegen production and eye elasticity.
The problem is that it stings if too close to eyes, almost burns at night if I rub my eyes a bit. I always have to remember to be careful, so it doesn’t go into my eye. It did not happen with other Ole Henriksen eye creams that I tested.
And the packaging is bad, really unsanitary.
UPDATE: After using it for a week I got an allergic reaction – little red dots (looks like I was poked with a needle in my under eye area) – It happens with some heavy eye creams, and with this OH, as well.

I really wanted to like this eye cream. It smells good and seems to soak right in. . . but the next morning when I woke up my eyes were horrifically puffy and irritated. I have never has such an extreme reaction to a product.

I’ve tried some other Ole Henriksen eye creams and haven’t been impressed, but I got a sample packet from Sephora and decided to try again. This is a nice eye cream, not too thick or runny, didn’t ball up or irritate my eyes. I don’t think it’s a miracle worker, but it’s a nice, serviceable eye cream, much better than any others in the Henriksen line. The sample pack was enough to make me consider purchasing the full size next time I hit sephora.

allergic reaction – same as other reviewers – not sure what is causing it but i have never had an allergic reaction to any other eye treatments….way too harsh.

I don’t know what happens to the jar that I got from Sephora. But my experience is definitely not good. I was debating between this one and the Fresh Start eye cream, but I was more into the anti-aging property of this eye cream, so I made the purchase without getting a sample. Ok. this cream just sat on top on my skin. Well, when I said it “sat” on top of my skin, I mean, it’s absolutely not being absorbed at all. After an hour, I can still use a cotton pad to wipe the cream out. It’s just such a weird experience. I don’t know why. Maybe the jar I got was sitting on the shelf under those heated light, and its texture changes. But no matter what, I have to return it and will not try it again.

I have LOVED every single Ole Henriksen product I have tried to date as this entire line just smells delicious, is antural, and has amazing ingredients. Sadly this eye cream didn’t do it for me. It’s mroe expensive than the other eye creams but love that it came in a jar and smells great. I had read reviews that this cream is heavy but didn’t beleive it as I have tried many “heavy” feeling eye creams at first but they still are light on the skin and absorb completely. This one sadly did jsut sit on my eye, it never absorbed, and oddly dragged a little insterad of smooth application. Also even pilled. I was defintiely dissapointed it didn’t work for me as I love ole products but jsut seems like it it for more older skin.

I love, love, love, love this product! That little jar goes a loooong way! But…it’s a jar! ew, I find that really unsanitary. But anyway, the product itself though is amazing. I don’t have lines, wrinkles, puffiness, or dark circles; but I have noticed after using this product for over a week my eyes looks brighter and moisturized. It goes on so lightly and absorbs quickly. I use it once a day before bed. It does it’s job to prevent wrinkles for my age, I believe, so I wonder what it will do for people with wrinkles. Anyway, I love it. My SO uses it for his dark circles and he loves it too! Kind of pricey…but like I said, it goes a long way. And the ingredients makes me at ease to know it’s not as harsh as most anti-wrinkle creams (retinol). So I would recommend this to anyone my age and older. It is a polite eye cream. lol
