I gave this 4 stars because it does work as a sunscreen for the eye area. But it is very very white and takes a bit to sink in. And is not as moisturising as other eye creams, so seems a bit of a one-trick-pony. The trick it does is very good, but I don’t really need a single purpose eye sunscreen. Mostly only use it for travel to very sunny/glaring places – desert or snow, rather than using it every day. It’s also quite expensive.

I bought this based on good reviews on Paula’s Choice. Didn’t have any sensitivity reactions like one of the other reviewers. I like the squeeze tube packaging and the fact that it’s fragrance free. The product comes out smoothly and it’s easy to control the amount that you dispense. The texture is initially creamy, but as it starts to dry it gets sticky so you have to just put it on and not rub too much. I love that there is sunscreen in the product, but the whitish tint is noticeable. I believe they added mica to make this effect even more pronounced and this will probably be fine if you have fair skin. Overall, I think it’s a decent product for eye cream with sunscreen.

This is the ONLY product TO DATE (as in MY ENTIRE LIFETIME) that gave me an awful allergic reaction (red, swollen, itchy dry patches all over my area (under eye and eye-lids)), where this cream was applied. Here I am 6 months later (after a doctor’s visit AND having to apply daily ointments) and I am STILL suffering some of it’s ill effects . Funnily enough, I purchased this product to HELP my eye area, yet this product semi-permanently damaged the delicate skin area around my eyes instead. BUYER BEWARE!! If you have sensitive skin in the least, it’s not worth risking it on this terrible product. On TOP of all that, this product is a luxury brand/expensive — to add insult to the injury! So basically, I paid $60 CAD for an allergic reaction and severe dryness…thanks, Clinique!
