I found this on the mark-down shelves at Winners for $9!!! (I originally thought it was $10 but looked at the box today and realized it was even cheaper than I originally thought) I knew nothing about it at all but figured that for $9, what did I have to lose? The original price sticker said “compare at $29” so I figured it was a very good deal so imagine my total shock when I found that it actually retails in the US for $44 (so it would probably be at least $50 here in Canada) and it’s a really good deal.
I was expecting this to have the texture of either an oil or be almost “glue-y” (like PIxi’s overnight serum) but it’s more like a cream or lotion. The design of the bottle itself is clever – a pump with a beak-shaped cover that snaps over it for travel My pump tends to stick, though, and I have to press really hard to get the product out. The serum itself is very nice – not oily and it soaks in quickly. It is gentle buy hydrating and does seem to make my face appear more radiant. My only quibble is the smell. I was hoping it would smell of roses or pleasantly herbal but it has less than appealing smell to it which I guess is the natural smell of the ingredients. Fortunately, it dissipates quickly, especially when I put my moisturizer over it. I don’t know that I’d pay full price for this but would certainly buy it again if I could find it at this great price.
