I hated this. When I first purchased it I was very hopeful that it would work on my skin but all it did was just dry it like crazy. The skin on my nose started peeling , my face burned like crazy whenever I would use this and the smell was really gross. I would not buy This again.

I’ve been using this toner for a couple of years. Definitely best toner I’ve ever used. Prevents breakouts and leaves skin very glowy in appearance. Not at all drying like many other toners I’ve used in the past.

I’ve gone back to buy another one already. At first I didn’t think much of it and didn’t really like the smell. But I did quickly notice that it helped brighten up skin and very gently exfoliated it at the same time.It has a medicinal smell to it but goes away shortly after.I find that it also helped even out my skin texture!Sadly it did not help very much with discoloration from my old acne scars, but that’s okay. You do get a good amount for the price as well.

I’ve been using this product for several years and I like the results. It’s my nighttime toner, I use it after I thoroughly clean my face and before serums and moisturizer. Really helps with flaky patches and I believe it makes my skin more receptive to the products I apply afterward. My skin is dry, aging and acne prone.

My skin: combination/dehydrated skin with hormonal acne.
I have generally very good experiences with glycolic acid in other products from other lines (Mene&Moy/M&M/Eneomey, notably), but this toner just didn’t do much of anything for my skin. I found it quite harsh and drying, in spite of the aloe vera and the relatively low glycolic acid content. Too harsh for everyday use, but not very effective as an exfoliant, especially seeing as I really cannot use it on a daily basis. It always made my skin go into overdrive and produce much more oil than usual the day after using it, so I have switched to other chemical exfoliants. A higher percentage of glycolic acid in an emollient cream base or as a mask treatment seems to work much better with my dehydrated skin and has better effect.
Don’t think I’ll even manage to use up this bottle, sadly. Maybe on my chest and shoulders, or something along those lines.

Wow, is this the first toner ever that doesn’t give me clogged pores? It might be! I only use this at night, but it feels so cleansing, hydrating and softening that my face feels like a baby’s butt every morning. I have some scars left from when I struggled with mild acne, and I feel like they are fading faster now, too. Really happy with this product.

I enjoyed Mario Badescu seaweed toner, and have also tried the cucumber one (though not that impressed).
This glycolic acid one seems to work as well as a toner, i dont see any differences from the other ranges, but it does sting my eyes out so much that i’d have tears coming out and wont be able to open my eyes for awhile. i dont even let it get into contact with my eyes. for this reason, i wont be repurchasing it again.

One of my necessities. I use this on my hands & arms as well as face & neck: helps keep my hands looking young. I used to have hard little dry-skin bumps on my upper arms (everyone in my family gets them), and regular use of this cleared them up completely.

Mario Badescu Glycolic Toner is a nice product, however it’s not my exfoliation product of choice for my own needs/wants.
VThis is best used as a daily toner swiped across clean skin. I had previously used this toner for about 3 years and was my acid of choice after I used the Clarins acid toner and wanted a cheaper option. This has a low percentage of glycolic, which would be nice for someone who was new to acid toning and wanted a nice gentle acid toner. However, I now prefer a higher acid that is more of a treatment acid. I much prefer Alpha H Liquid Gold for a bi weekly acid treatment. This is also a liquid treatment not a serum. I find the results of that better than daily toning with Marios Glycolic. If you have oily skin this may not be useful at all as Glycolic has less ability to penetrate the oil than Salicylic acid.
The packaging is quite annoying as it as a lot but the product changes colour when exposed to the light which may affect the potency of the product. Mine changed from the bright blue to the pale blue in a short amount of time. I generally do find it too also smell different after being open for a few months.
As I said: if you want a very gentle daily acid toner this may be great for you. If you have oily skin I don’t think it will work, and I generally prefer my acid in a more potent treatment form such as Alpha H Liquid Gold.
