I recently purchased this on Amazon – verified vendor by DHC -. The new packaging is a plastic purple bottle which dispenses drops at a time. I use a cotton pad with a couple of drops and apply this all over my face and neck. This product absorbs nicely and calms my skin after I use Lotion P50V toner. I noticed a difference right away, my skin absorbs other products more readily now. Its a bit expensive but I love what it does and you only need a couple of drops at a time. I highly recommend this product. I have combination/dry acne/rosacea prone sensitive skin for reference.

I’ve been using this toner twice a day. I use it in both my nighttime and daytime skin care routines. You only need a few drops onto a cotton round and it gives the skin a beautiful finish. It’s full of good ingredients. It doesn’t dry out my skin or break me out. I use this after my P50 1970 acid toner and this helps calm my skin. I’m loving this toner and it’s an essential step to my routine. I have combination skin and I’m almost 40 so I’ve been trying to take care of my skin now that I’m getting older. My skincare routine now has given me better skin than I had in my 20’s. I would recommend watching a youtube video by Stephanie Nicole on skincare. She talks about why we should use different products. It’s very informative. She uses this toner on many of her skincare videos.

I don’t care for toners in general and have read many places that they are an unnecessary step. I am 50 years old and have dry skin. I love most of the DHC products I’ve tried, and this one is no exception. I tried a sample of this I got in their catalog and, unlike other toners (including other ones by DHC), it felt great on my skin! It feels like it is adding moisture rather than stripping my skin. I also feel like other products absorb better after putting it on, and I am able to use less moisturizer.
I apply this by putting about 5 drops (quarter size puddle) in my palm and then patting it into my face. This way you don’t use a lot. I am guessing this bottle will last me a year of nightly use.
I wouldn’t consider this the most essential product in my skin care toolkit, but it is a nice, luxurious “extra” that I enjoy applying and it makes me feel good. I also like the purple bottle (new design, different than pictured). It is pretty, but plastic so I don’t have to worry about breakage in the bathroom.

I like this stuff as well as the milk. It seems to make my skin happy and helps the moisturisers to sink in nicely. im astonished because ive bever been able to tolerate toners. my skin has been verrrry sensitive.

Edit- This broke me out. I didn’t reduce the rating because it is a good product and can’t possibly work the same for everyone. Not it’s fault my face is fussy.
This is a nice toner. My SO and I both use it. I noticed her pores looking much smaller and her face was more even toned so I decided to give it a go since we had it on hand. I can tell a difference in pore size for sure – better than BHA. I find it soothing for my sensitive/rosacea skin. I notice my makeup looks smoother because my pores are not gaping holes in the middle of my face. There is no scent to speak of.
It is super expensive. However, we only use a couple of drops at a time for face and neck and it lasts. Will repurchase.

This is for the new formulation Coenzyme Q10 lotion in the metallic-look purple plastic bottle. It’s a yellow liquid that I shake a few drops out and splash on my face. It got a good review as an alcohol-free option from Paula and I’d tried some samples and purchased the bottle when on sale. It’s got no odor and quickly sinks into my skin without any tackiness. The bottle is 160 mL/5.4 oz, so somewhat large and the shaker top works well to dispense a drop or two at a time. I use about 5-6 drops. Overall it’s a nice toner, as far as toners go. It’s really just a final “sealing” step after cleansing but before layering treatments or moisturisers. As it’s alcohol-free, it’s not harsh or stripping or what is sometimes interpreted as “refreshing,” and is not something I’d use as a final swipe to get anything my cleanser missed (it’s too expensive to wipe on and wipe off). Instead it’s just a layer of liquid moisture.
All that being said, I’m not sure it makes enough of a difference in my appearance to warrant repurchase, especially as it is one of DHC’s more expensive products. If you’ve got the money, it’s a very nice toner, but for now, I’m going to live with my lower price-point options. But, I am torn. It’s one of the best toners out there. It feels very nice regardless of whether I see any effect. Maybe I’ll change my mind in a few months and pick up another bottle if it’s on sale.

I really like this!
I needed some kind of toner to wipe my face off after I used DHC’s Deep Cleansing Oil but I don’t do well with most alcohol based toners. Because of this, I was afraid to use a “toner”.
However, this toner doesn’t bother my skin at all. I don’t get that stinging, burning sensation I got from other toners. In fact, I’ve been using this for a couple of years and I’ve noticed that the mornings after I use it, my sensitive skin appears calmer.
Unlike some of the other reviewers, this does not leave my face feeling either sticky or dry.
As I mentioned earlier, I use this after using DHC’s cleansing oil to make sure all of the oil is off of my face before applying my nighttime skin care products. One bottle will last a long time, so even though this is a higher end product, the cost doesn’t bother me.

DHC is hit or miss for me when it comes to their facial care products. This is definitely a miss.
At first, when I used my sample, I really loved the liquid texture, the way it seemingly melted into my skin, and the way my skin felt after application: very smooth and soft and calm. Unfortunately, like the other DHC toners/lotions I have tried in the past, it left a nasty film on my face that was still there even after cleansing (with an oil-based cleanser). This led to scales on my face, lots of dry patches, itchiness, and breakouts – after just 3 nights of using it! It required a couple weeks of gentle exfoliating and moisture treatments for my skin return to normalcy.
I use a prescription retinoid daily, so maybe my skin is a bit sensitive to the ingredients in Olive Leaf Lotion, nonetheless, it really ravaged my complexion. It really has some binding ingredients in it, I suppose, which probably isn’t best for congested, sensitive, acne-prone skin. I say exercise caution before while using it.
I don’t mean to bash DHC, I do love their skin “booster” line. I am very fond of the Olive Leaf Extract, but their toners are way to harsh and, to my knowledge, not allergy-tested, as I’ve experienced pretty bad skin reactions. I had this same reaction to Water-Based Moisture and a Torafugu Collagen Lotion (exclusive to DHC Japan).

I wasn’t expecting much from this product based on the so-so reviews here, but I really like this “lotion”! To me, it’s more like a toner that I apply after cleansing my face. I apply a little bit on my palms and pat it on over my entire face. I give it a few minutes to absorb and then apply my moisturizer and top it with my sunscreen. My skin felt instantly smoother, softer and plumper. I thought it was because I had exfoliated that particular day with a scrub, but the next couple days I didn’t exfoliate and my skin continues to be super soft, more even-toned and even glowy! This is a great lotion/toner that doesn’t irritate my skin and is gentle enough to use day and night. Great product, will repurchase!
