While disappointed with my lip purchases from CT online (mainly due to misleading shade representations, and being overpriced and nothing special in performance or consistency in most cases), I like this product (Healthy Glow). It doesn’t really give coverage; it’s not supposed to. It just gives that extra bit of “life”, a subtle hint of colour. I have worn it on it’s own or under make-up. If you have good skin and are a person who can happily go without foundation (or with sheer foundations) then this can be a great choice, whether you’re a guy or girl. I’m an NC20 in MAC, and I don’t think it’s too crazy-dark on me, though does give a sunkissed look. You can also build it a bit. When you first put it on it’s a light greyish (almost white) colour and feels grainy as you rub it into the skin. As the grains dissolve, it leaves a subtle flush of colour, like a leftover tan. It isn’t cheap, but I felt it was worth the money for the first-time experience of it. I wouldn’t buy it again unless it was half-price, because it’s not an essential item. Not one of those things you think, “What a godsend – I’d die without this”. More of an, “Oh, this is kind of cool and nice for something different.” If you have great skin and don’t mind the expense, you might want to give it a whirl.

I have recently purchased this product and I just love it. It squeezes easily out of the tube, so you can adjust the amount needed. It’s a weird-looking colour, but glides on smoothly and then, heh presto! you’re looking all glowing, a healthy tanned version of your natural colour. Many reviewers comment on the lack of SPF, but honestly, every other product is stuffed with SPF that it is hardly necessary, in my opinion.
I wear sun protection for face every day, so I really do not need to double up with sun protection when using this product. I try to keep my face out of the sun as much as possible (quite difficult as I live in the Tropics), so this gives me a tanned look without th sun damage. Love it! Thank you, Charlotte

This is an absolutely gorgeous product. It is a sheer moisturising skin perfector that is amazing for summer when you want to look slightly sunkissed without an orangina hue. NB it is NOT a foundation. It is for those days when your skin is in good enough nick that you just really don’t want to cover it all up, but could do with a dewy sunny glow. It looks like your own skin but with an indefinable glowy rosy goldy radiance, it really is all that. Downsides… the price, and I only wish it had an SPF 50! It would be my dream product then.
The product texture and look itself is really weird when you squeeze it out- I gulped in disbelief when I first saw it- a whitish-grey goop with s slight grittiness to it. As you smooth it on, it does some kind of crazy-Tilbury -magic-trick and becomes this perfect sheer light tan that blends seamlessly with your skin. Witchcraft in a bottle. I kid you not.

This is weird voodoo magic in a bottle. I still don’t know if I like it. It’s a grey-white cream that on contact with the skins changes to a bronze, shimmery primer. Wayne Goss did a inciteful, positive review on it and even applied on camera it had a noticeable effect on his skin.
I am 40 with normal sin, nc15-20 with minor fine lines and minimal pores. The bronzing effect is verging in almost too dark for my skin tone so I wouldn’t recommend this product if you’re fairer than nc20. It does have a blurring effect and the shimmeriness dissipates and isn’t at all pronounced like a highlighter.

I’m in the camp that just could not get a single attractive application out of Unisex Healthy Glow. The white cream quickly heats up upon application into an orange, gritty, shimmer infested layer that sits on top of my skin and refuses to play nice with primer or foundation. Perhaps this has to do with skin type – I’m dry and this not only emphasized pores but also any sort of blemish or dry spots. I wouldn’t say it was TOO dark for me (just a bit), but as an NC 20 olive, it isn’t the right tone of bronze that I need for a believable glow. I tried wearing this alone and mixed into foundation, but it just degraded the textural quality of any product I tried to use this with, be it skincare or base. Big flop, but I see this potentially working out for oiler, deeper skinned gals.

This is like magic! I often find a need for an insta-tan, but every option I have ever tried was essentially brown body paint and impractical to use, as it rubs off on clothing, gets your hands dirty, etc.
This is awesome – my husband, best guy friend and I all love it. It is a beautiful just-out-of-the-sun tint with a touch of pink in it – not too faux bronze/J.Lo. It’s great for everyday, or just those times you feel too pale.

EDIT: in a rare move, I have actually had to bin this (I had 1/3 tube left.) This was cloggy and sticky and felt like a thick, orange layer of vinyl. The lack of sunscreen was also a deal-breaker. Ah well….live and learn.
A hybrid product which, like Origins VitaZing, Soap and Glory’s Glow Job and The Body Shop’s All-in-One BB Cream, switches from a grey cream with micro-pigments to a bronzer that can fill in for foundation (which I hate, anyhow). Unlike the VitaZing (which has a gorgeous, cedar-like, citrusy scent), this smells REPULSIVE, like school glue. That being said, the effects are more “refined” (for want of a better word) and longer lasting than the other products I have listed. On first application, one’s skin looks a bit “boiled”, but the tint settles into a pleasing, healthy glow. Am working my way through a sample of this stuff–a wee jar lasts for a very long time, so I’ll give extra points for the fact that you only need a small amount. I intend to get the full size eventually. Am a bit cheesed off that there is no SPF. That, plus the pong, has resulted in the docking of a lippie.

I like the effect this tinted cream has on my normal/dry porcelain light neutral skin tone: I avoid the sun year round and I’ve given up on self tanners because they often turn out orange on me or they break me out. This cream is easy to apply but since I am so pale I need to start with a small amount and build from there if needed. Before purchasing the full size tube I had a sample packet which came with an online order and a good amount of product came out which I applied and I had to wash it off right away because I looked completely orange and unnatural. Second attempt was more successful by using only very little. Then I feel I do look healthy after using this cream, and the tint is natural, blending well with my own level of skin pigment. I wish this had an SPF 40 or 50 sunscreen, then it would be a winner which i would gladly repurchase.

I am liking this product, don’t know if it will end up as one of my HG products, but it has potential. I have fair skin and use a little bit of self tanner every few days. When I don’t, this product is not enough on its own to give me that necessary extra bit of color. But on top of a very subtle selftan it works beautifully.
I do find the product overpriced, but so is the rest of the line.
Unlike a few of the other reviewers of this product, I actually like that this doesn’t contain SPF. My dry skin needs more than a sheer coat of this anyway, and I find that layering products gives me options of combinations that allow me to customize to time of year, time of day using the product and how my skin is generally behaving at any given time.

I recently fell in love with this brand- but ohhh noooo this one is so bad on me!!
I think if you’re a darker than me it might work, but its straight up orange and too dark on me. it doesn’t adjust enough for me at all – I am about an NC20-25. It starts out white and shade-adjusts.
the finish is nice, and I kept it on to apply makeup to see how it looked – it is easy to apply other makeup over it, it felt nice and did give a glow – but the color was just not good on me – it looked like I seriously over-applied bronzer. yipes!
