My Shade: 0W1 Pearl
Other Shade Matches For Me: MAC Studio Fix Fluid (NC15), Smashbox Studio Skin (1.1), Nars Sheer Glow (Deauville)
My endless search for ‘perfect skin’ continues, and I was excited to try out the Laura Mercier TM as it has such a great reputation. I found a good colour match, but I did find when searching in store that the undertones seem to be quite strong. Luckily the product is sheer enough that I believe most people will be able to find a match. I like to apply this product with my fingers, though a dense brush works well also. It applies sheer and works well at evening up the skin tone, but it isn’t going to build up and give any real coverage to problem areas. Definitely a product for people who already have near-perfect skin in my honest opinion! It wears well and didn’t break up or get overly shiny on my combo skin. Other products (blush, highlight etc) layer well over it. Overall, it is a nice product. The downside is that it does have a high price point and you could find something just as good (or better) for a lower price.

With this unpredictable Mid-Atlantic weather you never know if it will be 91 degrees at 9am and 72 at 4pm. With that being said I use my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer all day everyday year round. It is the perfect coverage for a low maintenance but polished look. Just retouch periodically throughout the day with powder and you are all set.

Unremarkable tinted daycream for me. I like to use this for no make up days or when I’m on the run and need something to save time on my morning routine.
What I like: good color match (I believe I have Sand for my NC35 skin), not streaky, light but buildable coverage, nice moisturized feel all day.
What I dislike: make my oily t zone even more oily (I really need to fix it with powder), expensive for the (average) performance.
I will be finishing what I have because it’s expensive and I don’t hate it, but won’t be repurchasing when I run out.

I decided to join the band wagon on this and purchased this along with the radiance primer in bronze. The color that I bought was caramel ( previously I used Nars Sheer Glow – Cadiz, Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation – cool golden). I love the coverage that this gives, light enough where I don’t feel it but enough that my skin tone is unified. I tend to get a solid 8 hours from it , I have combination skin and will do a quick powder touch up on my nose late afternoon.
I think for summer if I repurchase I will get the color Tan as this may be too light. I’m a product junkie and there are a few products that I would like to test but have no issues coming back to this.

Well like others have stated, I was amazed to find the most perfect match for my skin. Looked beautiful on but within hours of putting this on, 5….yes FIVE, cystic pimples. Never has this happened to me in such a short amount of time wearing a foundation or TM.

I have been using this product for ages! I keep trying other brands, but this is hands down the best tinted moisturizer I have ever used. 10 years of trying different tinted moisturizers and I still can’t find one that is better than this one.

I chose “no” for if I would buy it again because I’m not sure I would. It’s decent enough that I wear it almost every day. It’s light coverage and it does give the skin a good tint. I’m not a super huge fan because of 1. It doesn’t last very long and I apply probably 6 costs of it a day. 2. Because of this I run out quickly. 3. It’s expensive for something that does not a whole lot. And 4. It’s greasy. I get those little comodones that are super tiny and pop extremely easy and go away within seconds when I wear this stuff but I don’t fuss too much about that, all make up causes me to break out and this is the mildest one. It’s a pretty good tinted moisturizer if you were looking for a little tint and fresh looking skin for a bit for sure but don’t expect it to amaze you I guess is what I’m saying.

This tinted moisturizer is really thin and wayyyyyy too orange…:(

Nope nope nope. I’ve only been wearing this for 30 minutes, but within the first five minutes of application, here’s what happened:
1. The product came out in a color that matched my skintone (I bought Ivory)… and then oxidized into a dark tannish orange. Like an oompa loompa who laid out and got a nice tan.
2. The product is also a bit drying — this coming from a girl with super oily skin. When I opened my mouth to yawn, my cheeks and area around my mouth felt sooo dry and tight. And I had applied two layers since it applies sheer.
3. It dried really shiny, like a wet shiny look. So it wasn’t even like a healthy glow kind of shiny. I had to apply loose powder on top.
The one pro is that it has a solid SPF 20. The color range sucks (no options for the fairest or the dark). Definitely save your money and get something else. This thing is going back to Nordstrom!

This tinted moisturizer has a decent SPF (20), goes on smoothly, and provides a beautiful lightweight finish which leaves skin looking natural and moisturized. Why, then, did I give it just 2 lippies if it’s so fabulous? It oxidized on me almost immediately leaving my face looking bright orange! Within 5 minutes of applying it, I happened to walk by a mirror and noticed my face was noticeably darker and had an orange tint. I was confused at first, thinking I had accidentally used a self-tanner by mistake, LOL! I literally gasped at my reflection in the mirror. Thank goodness I saw it before I left the house… I was on my way out and had not planned to check my makeup again. After applying this TM I texted two of my friends (fellow MUAers) telling them how amazing it was. Within minutes I had to text them back and tell them I looked like a pumpkin! Because the product is perfect in every other way, I couldn’t bear to give it just one lippie. I’m sure it doesn’t oxidize on everyone so it may work for most people, just not for me.
I received a full-sized tube of this in my June beauty box from Blush.com. I received the Nude shade which was a perfect match until it turned orange on me. I may stop by Ulta and test the other shades just to rule them out.

I am always searching for my perfect tinted moisturizer. This is very nice. It goes on smoothly and keeps my skin looking soft. It is however nothing special to me. I so far have found merle norman believe it or not to be my favorite and clsrins a close second. I feel they offer better coverage and moisture.

I LOVE this tinted moisturizer.
For a tinted moisturizer, it gives great coverage. It’s a little thicker than other tinted moisturizers but I usually just mix it with my moisturizer and it looks very natural. I have purchased this about 3 or 4 times.
I used to buy it at sephora inside (i think) jc penny but they told me they were going to discontinue it. I know macy’s also carries it so I went there. I was so upset when I was told it was discontinued that I was about to buy 2 bottles at macys to stock up but she told me they weren’t discontinuing it. Thank goodness! haha
I have a lot of acne scars and I break out a lot. This is did cause me to break out. Good enough to wear everyday without a foundation and still get good coverage.

I want to give this more than 3 lippies, but the limited color choices prevent me from raising it to 4. I have fair skin and the ivory is just too dark. Plus, it’s a little too yellow, and I have a golden undertone. It’s a shame they don’t offer a wider range because the TM is good.
With any TM, coverage isn’t really buildable but it does a good job at evening out my skin tone. I apply it in the center of my face so that by the time I blend out to the edges, you can’t really tell that the color is too dark. Strangely, the Cargo HD pressed powder is really light (which I love) so it tends to balance out the TM.
I said that I would not buy it again only because of the color. If they offered anything lighter, I definitely would.

I went to the ULTA store today to buy foundation for prom, but I ended up buying this instead. 😛 I wanted something that was of medium build and gave me flawless coverage. This is tinted moisturizer, so if you want coverage don’t expect it from this stuff! It’s the opposite of what I intending to buy. I applied the TM with a sponge, dotted a bit here and there on my face, used a dabbing+blending, circular motion. Concealer would be best after application of this TM. At first I was not impressed, because I am used to using Bare Mineral’s powder foundation, and this felt a bit too greasy for me. However after it set and finished my skin looked more even, much healthier, and it did eliminate some redness on my cheek (wasn’t severe). I have good skin, so this is not for those with blemishes! 2 hours later I decided to set it with MAC’s Skinfinish Natural powder and it looked very good. I can’t wear BB cream because it clogs my pores like a mother, but the Skinfinish on top gave me the same (if not, better) look of a BB cream. Ultimately, my skin looked fresh, healthy, dewy, and it wasn’t oily looking. Felt a bit heavier vs. my BM powder but I don’t mind because my skin looks way better. Pluses are that it has SPF 20, has no chemicals, oil-free, paraben free, and has ginseng root, ginkgo biloba leaf, anthemis nobilis flower, and camellia oleifera leaf extract! Wooooo hooooo! I will be updating if it makes me break out or have bumps!
EDIT: After a couple of weeks of trying this, I realize that my skin has been looking more clogged after a little less than a week of use, so I am careful to alternate between my BM powder and this TM. I still have “hormonal” skin so who knows when I will have a break out, but this stuff for sure promotes them a bit because of the excess oil that is on my skin. I will most likely be purchasing this in the winter, because it is hydrating.

I have a deluxe sample of this in Nude, and wore it (as well as samples of the Oil-free version) on and off for a few years. Finally decided to buy the full size but I got shade-matched to Blush instead (1 shade lighter than Nude) at the Laura Mercier counter in NM. Blush really is a perfect match for my NC30 skin, but this is so sheer that I could also get away with Nude.
I have fairly oily skin, but this one works for me better than the Oil-Free version. Keeps me shine-free for at least 4 hours (I will update this as the day progresses). It gives my face a much smoother, more even look without screaming “I’m wearing makeup!”
The way I use this is: I do my regular morning Korean skincare routine of wash + tone + essence then I use this TM instead of my usual moisturiser + sunscreen.

Unremarkable tinted moisturizer. It has a very chemically scent to it that lingers and forms an almost tacky film on the skin rather than drying down. It’s semi-matte on my skin and evened out very little. My skin isn’t perfect but I don’t have glaring breakouts, and I didn’t expect coverage.
It was hard to blend, which is odd considering it’s such a liquidy product. But no, once on skin it’s almost as if its pigments cling to the skin while the product just slips around and then suddenly becomes sticky. Streaky application with fingers. So then I tried with a brush, it clung to the bristles and felt like I was just moving a wet brush on my face. Beauty blender gave me the same result. Layers poorly with all the other cream products I used (blush, bronzer and concealer).
The cherry on top? Next day my face is covered in red blotches and tiny breakouts everywhere, signalling an allergic reaction. HOWEVER this doesn’t factor into the review as I believe that skin will react differently to ever product and many will not have a reaction or sensitive skin. The 1 star is soley for how poorly this product preformed and for the price I paid, I expected better.

I continue to receive this product as a gift with purchase or in kits.
PROS: The packaging is adequate. I like that it isn’t super frivolous and is convenient for not taking up too much room in the stash which is probably why it has made it through so many declutters without being ditched.
CONS: Personally, I find the smell of this product to be terrible. It is like a chemical Play-Doh. The consistency is very thin and almost sticky or tacky. I find that this is more for people who aren’t looking for coverage and maybe just a little bit of a more even colour. I am not the person previously mentioned. I don’t find the tinted moisturizer has any longevity and hasn’t had any benefit to my skin. I also find that it doesn’t necessarily play well with others based on the consistency.
The BOTTOM LINE: I pass… I don’t even have opinions worth mentioning beyond the horrible smell and texture. I don’t think this feels or performs worthy of the cost and the drugstore offers products like this that aren’t as offensive for a fraction of the price.

This runs dark. I’m half white/half Venezuelan (NC25-30 I think?) and the lightest shade (Ivory) matches me, so if you’re very fair this wouldn’t be a good product for you. It’s also really expensive, and that’s why I marked it 4 lippies, not 5. I will continue to use it though because it doesn’t break me out and leaves my skin feeling nice when I take it off at night. Coverage is adequate if your skin isn’t bad. You’ll still need concealer over blemishes, but if you’d only be covering a few here and there it should work for you. Doesn’t leave me shiny, but I do use Urban Decay De-Slick powder over it.

For the few people that this product would match, its a great product. There are 4 shades, and even the lightest (ivory) is quite dark and yellow based.
The consistency and coverage is very nice for a tinted moisturizer. Has an spf of 20. If you are a medium or darker skin tone, give it a try. If you are fair or light, go to Tartes Smooth Operator tinted moisturizer.

I am in love with this product. I wanted to switch from the heavy MAC foundation routine I was on and I love this moisturizer. It is vegan and great for the skin. The coverage is light to medium but definitely buildable. It matches my complexion perfectly! Definitely a must repurchase.
