   Definitely has flaws but I am a returning fan.

   It remains quite greasy and runny even after furious shaking and has a brown-orange tone – but it works pretty good if I apply it correctly (see below). I don’t feel it provides any moisturising qualities, but it doesn’t block up my pores either. I use it daily and only feel the urge to cleanse my face or take a break after a week. (I don’t use much makeup and have dry skin).

   I have an Asian light-olive skin tone, with redness on my cheeks due to mild rosacea. This sunscreen seems to even out my skin tone and I swear it makes most of pores dissappear. I have managed to get away from the flaws mentioned above by:
   Method 1 – applying it as usual, wait 10 minutes for the grease to settle, then continue with my bb cream. (I use it as a primer and seems to work well. I guess the spf30 is a plus!).
   Method 2 – for lazier days or when I want a natural look, I apply the sunscreen by dabbing it all over my face using my finger tips only. The finish is dewy, has a lighter feel and definitely blends in with my skin tone. No brown-orange look.

   I think the one bottle has lasted me roughly 3-4 months, and I intend to repurchase when it runs out. It doesn’t melt off under the Australian summer, and I think it has helped control my rosacea prone skin in the heat.

   I am actually reviewing this for a friend.

   This is phenomenal for people with dry skin. My friend has been wearing it for three weeks now. She is a 43 year old blonde with fair, dry skin. She never breaks out in pimples and her skin does really well with zinc oxide (the exact opposite of me). The tint is the tiniest bit dark for her very fair skin, but would work well on most people. She simply applies a little powder over the top to lighten it and make it suitable for her colouring. Her skin looks fresh and slightly glowy but not overly greasy and she says it feels comfortable all day and she has not burnt while using it.

   Ingredients

   Active Ingredient: Zinc Oxide 220 mg/g

   Inactive ingredients: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Vitis Vinifera (Grape seed) Seed Oil, Silica, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate , Euphorbia Cerifera Cera (Candelilla wax) , Cera Alba, Glyceryl Isostearate, Polyhydroxystearic acid, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Glycerin, Aqua, Camellia Sinensis Leaf (Green tea) Extract, Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Fruit Oil, CI 77492, CI 77491,CI 77499.

   It is very similar to another product available in Australia called Eco Tan Tinted Natural Sunscreen. Ingredients for this product below:

   Active ingredient Zinc Oxide 220mg/g; Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil; Silica; Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter; Hydrophobically Modified Natural Polymer; Euphorbia Cerifera Cera (Plant Wax); Cera Alba (Beeswax); Parfum (Natural Coconut Fragrance); Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil; Tocopherol (Vitamin E); Carthamus Tinctorius Seed (Safflower) Oil; Cucumis Sativus Fruit (Cucumber) Extract; Vegetable Glycerin; Aqua; Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract; Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Oil; Iron Oxide Pigments.

   In fact the ingredients list is almost exactly the same. Hydrophobically Modified Natural Polymer is simply another name for Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate. They simply don’t use it’s chemical name because it sounds less “natural”.

   So, you can spend $30 for a 100ml tube of Eco Tan or spend between $13-18 on a 100ml tube of Natural Instinct instead. You get exactly the same product, but without the added coconut fragrance. Yay!!

   The downside for both products is that they tend to separate so you will get a bit of oil running out whenever you squeeze the product out. Both products say you should shake the tube to mix, but the product doesn’t really mix in the tube because it’s really too thick to shake properly.

   I have ticked repurchase because my friend has already bought a backup tube and intends to continue using this product. If it suited me, I would too.

   To sum up – perfect for dry skin, not so good for people with oily skin, or those who easily get blocked pores.

   I am a mineral sunblock user. My skin is combination/dry/sensitive. There are dry and flaky patches on cheeks and pimple/acne on chins and forehead. I was after a natural sunblock that is not drying / too thick / does not make my face turn white.

   The “natural instinct tinted face” was found in chemist warehouse for $13 on sale. It is spf 30 (220mg of Zinc), 3h water resistance and combined with good natural antioxidant ingredients (grape seed oil, safflower seed oil, shea butter, vit E, rose hip etc).

   The product doesn’t have any fragrance, parabens or any citric acid so if you have sensitive/dry skin this is a great natural product. The texture is Dewy but quite greasy….. For oily skin this is hydrating formula therefore you might find it not suitable for you.

   I did not experience any serious skin problems with this (jojoba oil works good with pimples). But it was not ‘hydrating’; only oily….. And felt dry later on…

   The color of the tint is bad because it darkens the skin……, coverage is quite low but it lightly corrects the skin tone. Nice ingredient but needs improvement.

   Pros: A very good natural zinc sunblock
   Easy to spread formula
   (unlike other thick zinc sunblocks)
   Has good Antioxidants
   No alcohol, no fragrance, no parabens, no essential oils
   Dewy
   Cheap

   Con: Be careful when you squeeze the package (The product is runny)
   Oily and drying (Huh? But it really is!)
